I just test drove the 2016 tlx with the 8-speed DCT and let me say that putting it into sport + and engaging the paddle shifters is a very exhilarating experience and I may have left the dealership in a brand new one

No irritating, trying to be funny reviews.
The IDS (Integrated Dynamics System) Button Changes Steering Feel, Throttle Sensativity, Gearing Shift Points, Throttle Blips and Auto Down Shift, PAWS Sensativity and also the AC System (in Econ mode). For the AWD models, it throws a bit more power to the rear wheels giving it a rear wheel drive feel. Suspension and Dampers are not changed by the IDS. Works awesome though. Everyone has an opinion on how a steering wheel or throttle should feel. It's nice to have it adjustable for a bit more "have it your way".

I have a 2.4 and I love how it handles over my previous Altima. Oh and let the haters hate. They got time JUST like the one who didn't know blacks could afford them.

I wish more cars hid their exhaust pipes. Don't get me wrong, if you do them right they look fantastic, but if you aren't even going to try to style the exhaust just freaking hide it! Tesla has proven how cool the no exhaust look can be.

2007-2008 TL Type-S was the best TL, IMO.
The 2009+ TL SH-AWD brought confusion to the roster by dethroning the RL (and becoming somewhat of a luxo-tank).
This TLX may be well-put-together, but just looks too tame.
Now go look at the Type-S I mentioned above, it's mature, but aggressive and sized right for being nimble.

Good review. Small correction though: there is no adjustable suspensions.
I don't know what the confusion was about the TSX and the TL that Acura thought they should be joined into one car. The BMW 3 series is sold in countless variations and no one seems confused.

Angel Eye headlights are the BMW LED's. Acura's is called Jewel Eye LED.

Tristan Rios I would rather have a BMW than an Audi. Audi is over priced like crazy. You claim Audi is better, it's the only German brand excluding VW that offers their cars in FWD... Honda is known for making their cars in FWD for better handling, they are not known for performance. Audi has performance cars but offers them in FWD... fucking pathetic...

IDS does nothing to change suspension settings. Only throtle response and shift points. Glad this guy knows what he is talking about.
I am hoping Acura will come out with a type s version of this car like they did for the 07/08 tl type s. A 330 plus hp engine with aggressive lip kit, quad exhaust tips, gun metal wheels and a 2 tone interior would be awesome. Until that day comes I will stick with my 04 Acura tl aspec.
Bane Bat Type S is coming back in the future per one of the Acura heads along with some more options for the 2.4 and V6 engines.

It's been exactly 2 months since I leased this TLX (V6). I am totally sold on this car !!! I thank Almighty GOD that HE Blessed me with the means to get this at a great payment!! I have had many compliments on how great looking it is, also :) This is NO lie, either, btw !!

The TLX looks cheap compared to the TL. The interior looks worse as well. The chrome is too much (zero chrome is the best like that of the 3rd gen TL). They really went downhill starting in 2009. They need something totally different. Oh, and bring back the exhaust tips please.
Did they get rid of vtech in the new TLX's because I remember the TL and TSX having vtech

Why did Acura choose to hide the exhaust tips? If they want to call this a sporty premium car, they should show the exhausts! Until then, this will not be on my shopping list.

Gentlemen, I was in the market for a 2015 C-Class, which easily has the best interior in the mid size car class, it's almost breathtaking, that being said to get the options that the TLX Elite V6 you would be close to $65,000. No thanks!
I then took a look at the 2015 BMW 328Xi, which could not touch the technology in the Acura, Which led me to the 5 series, Now i am am at $70,000, No Thanks!
At $47K The Acura was a no brainier, fantastic deal! No spare tire? It does come with an utomatic fix kit. Most of the cars i mentioned above come with Run flats and thus "No spare tire" The ESL sound system is a premium quality and fully featured 10 speaker unit equal to if not better then the Burmeister or Bose found in the the German cars.
Acura is going to get clients from markets above it's Lexus/Acura/Infiniti station. Hyundai shouldn't be compared as no BMW or Mercedes buyer would even look at it.
"Angel Eyes" were BMW's DRL Halo tubes around the headlight.
Acura is calling their setup "Jewel Eye".

Remember the days when Cadillac used to try to sell their over-priced, over-bloated boats to younger folks, telling them that those cars had 'Luxury' and 'Style'? And the guys in their 20's just turned the channel and went out and bought BMWs instead. Well now Acura is the car maker trying to sell younger generations with their crap and its just not working.

But i got to admit, I wish they did videos more often and with the production they used to (like the evoque and rs5 vids), because they were amazing and this guy is cool as heck

Mercedes is nothing more than a status symbol. I've talked to a Mercedes certified AMG mechanic and he would take BMW over Mercedes any day.
Here's a idea acura! Take away two of those doors send power to the rear wheels for once and oh throw a Integra or rsx badge on it, you did fine with the tsx tl (before the ugly 2009 model year) and mdx so leave it alone, we all appreciate the honda civic the nsx is nice but overpriced for a average person, so a new rsx/integra wouldn't hurt! Don't be scared to take a few sales from the civic trust that car will always be successful

I think the new Lexus IS 250 is going to capture the TSX crowd. Frankly. I so loved Acura, what did you guys go and do? Also the tacky sliver strip across on the back of the RDX and MDX just looks cheap, but Acura is copy-catting everyone who's doing it. Looks cheap.

Well, if you have the money - the 650i is about double the price of the TLX - I'd go for the BMW. The 6 series is a real luxury car and of very high quality and the 650i packs quite a punch.
