I thinking the same thing after I watched the game, and he came on as an 11th minute sub. So calm and smooth on the ball- great vision, no panic. Once Spain lost the ball, they hustled their butts off to get it right back- an absolute demolition of Germany.

You know what adds to their victory? That this Spanish team was almost completely composed of players from different teams. International football doesn't allow for a lot of training together and the fact that Lucho pulled this off with such a diverse team, not just a team made of 30% Real and 30% Barca players is pretty fucking impressive.

Luis Enrique never gets the credit that he rightfully deserves. He turned a trophyless Barca into a near sextuple winning squad(Ironically Ernesto Valverde beat him 4-0 in super copa). Also heâs done magic with this Spanish team. If he ever returns to club football, I assume he will do great things

Simple tactical from
Lucho (Spanish coach)
1) they keep the ball toward their side
They even pass free kick towards their keeper.
2) formation was 4-1-4-1 but they played more like 4-3-3 and some times 4-4-2 but when they attack they play 3-4-4 which makes German player unable to check man to man .They used Morata as a bait for German. German one defense and one midfield was aware of morata.So Torres get space to score goal.
3) They hold the ball âœïž on their side and when they attack they attack from side which make German midfield useless.
4) everything change after midfield F.Ruiz (17) sub in early first half.3 assists and heavily involved in other goal.
5) it was more like Barcelona style but speed up.Barcelona hold ball on their foot but Spain was spontaneously passing to their defense and keeper to drag German midfield and defense to Centre line.
Torres was always free

it's a shame really, after they manage to win the WC back in 2014... they've never been the same since. Maybe the players available isn't really up to par with the WC winning squad? The likes of Lahm, Bastian, and the in-form Boateng-Hummel-Gotze-Schurle-Ozil at that time. Even Mario Gomez and Klose back then is way more effective inside the box than the current German strikers.
Now Germany have... Rudiger, Tah, and Bender as CB options, because Hummels and Boateng aren't as good as they used to anymore. Feels like they depend heavily on Neuer to save them now.

Instead of leaving, Löw decided to change the age of the squad by ignoring those 3 great players and now he is too stubborn to apologize and take them again. They defnitely would have the routine to stabilize the game so Germany won't fall apart after getting in front often resulting in a draw in the end. Plus especially now in stadionswithout fans, you can hear how great of a coach MĂŒller has become on the pitch when playing and directing mates at the same time throughout the 90 minutes. Especially now with Kimmich injured Germany misses a leader. No matter how great Kroos' carrier has been, he has never been a real leader, and will never be, same with GĂŒndogan...

And there were more of these failed tactics not covered in this video? Man, any players Low had, any players Luis Enrique had, Spain beat Germany, no doubt.
4-1-4-1 this tactic will dominate the next decade. More physical players, fast transitions and high pressure.

They have incredible wingers so even playing with an average striker at this level like Morata unlocked them. Similar to how Giroud plays up top for France to help unlock Mbappe/Coman/Griezmann etc.

Spain is so much better when playing with an actual striker, even an average one like Alvaro Morata. The wing/CM talent is just so incredible that playing a striker unlocks those guys. If they can ever develop a legit striker who can actually stay healthy, they'll dominate the world like they should!

Shouldn't have included the Spain press system since it was variant. In fact, Neuer was forced to go long 17 times in comparison to Simon's 6. You see, half of the time is wasted just on Spain's pressing which wasn't even that necessary imo

All perfect if you never try to shoot on goal it means there is no will to play at all. With faster players as Sane', Gnabry, and Werner you should stay covered and play fast counterattacks. That line so high has no sense, I liked him but think that after 14 years and a world cup is time to change. P.s. You are amazing, well done!

Even after watching the highlights, it was obvious that german players dislike Löw. They shown no agressivity in the duels, like they wanted to lose this match.
This match looks so similar to the recent El Clasico especially the second half.
Of course spain played really well but Jogi Löw tore germany apart single handedly.
I can assure you every German football fan was cheering for spain to score even more Goals to finally get rid of Löw. I for exampel didn't watch the game up to the 3:0. Than i watched it with joy laughing about every Goal against us.
But unforunately even now the DFB doesn't sack Löw.

@@frank68454 Last time I checked football is a team game. Individuals have influence but it's the team effort that wins the games. We've cleaned up all the domestic trophies while KDB was injured for most of that season so to suggest that it has to be KDB leading us to the Champions League final is rubbish. No Sane and Laporte and Liverpool got the better of us last season. Torres comes in to replace Sane, Diaz comes in to replace Kompany and if we have KDB fit and playing with Aguero, Jesus, Sterling, Mahrez, Foden, Silva then I fancy our chances as long as the referees allow fair play (and I don't mean financial, lol).
