Ibrahim Al-Nasser from Saudi Arabia is a video game collector, and has hundreds of game consoles, including, video game consoles, computers, plug & play games, HDMI game sticks, android games, and others.
He decided to attempt this record title, and to connect all the gaming consoles he has collected, starting from Magnavox Odyssey (first video game console, released in'1972) until PlayStation 5 Slim (released in Q4,2023).

As an unbiased gamer and collector it's a tough call between Genesis or SNES but my heart says the latter.
Mega Drive é muito amado no mundo todo. Muitos consideram o melhor videogame de todos os tempos, por diversas razões, dentre eles destaco a quantidade de clássicos exclusivos de qualidade, jogos mais rápidos e difíceis, comunidade ativa e centenas de jogos novos. Acredito que todo entusiasta de videogame que aprofundou no Mega sabe disso. Apelidamos no Brasil de "Megão" o Highlander dos consoles.
@@Romess1 Personally, debating between the two is a lose-lose scenario. I think they are equally some of the greatest consoles ever made. A better debate would be the TurboGrafx-16 between the SNES or Genesis, since the TGX is much more varied compared to the Genesis and SNES.
I noticed he had the Sega stuff in front too before he announced his favorite.
I think the best system is the one that hits your nostalgia button the most. It's definitely super Nintendo for me. I had a Sega Genesis too though that I loved..and even sega CD

As someone who does this at a much smaller scale I’m most impressed by the way he hid the cables and made everything displayed so neatly and organized. My ADD would never lol
I have 16 consoles set through four different 4 port HDMI switches. Thought I had a lot, this dude beat me by 100s lol
With cable management skills like that I would hire that in a heartbeat to organize my stuff.

@@Carahan Who knows what help he could have received for it though. With that sort of money he could have hired the world's leading videogame cable management consultants, had them spend weeks drawing up and assessing blueprints and then a big crew of hardened field engineers to install it all.
@@RanialsAwesome N-n-no. This thing is clearly hand-built specifically for the record. A professional engineer would design special purpose-built furniture for managing the hardware. I see several issues with daily-driving the setup.

User Error Retroarch is very stable
As a game collector myself, this dude literally has the DREAM collection. Every console you'd want, no, every console THERE IS. All working, in good condition, well-kept, set up, with games, and somehow in the same room. Note that most of these seem to be North American models too, so he likely imported many of these systems to Saudi Arabia, which is crazy to me. MASSIVE respect to this guy, I hope one day my collection can look somewhat like this.

Was a bit skeptical at first with all the HDMI switches, but then I saw that Extron for all his older stuff and was like "this man knows what's up"

I heard RCA and could then tell that there's no RGB SCART in this setup, therefore it's not really top tier in terms of image quality.
Awesome achievement, though. Mind-blowing amount of work and cabling required to switch all of those composite connections and link them to a 4K display.
I have one question what happen if 2 consoles are on at the same time?

Didn't even realize there are over 400 unique gaming consoles as it is!
SAME! I'm an avid retro gamer and my guess would have been 200 tops. But its this high bc they're counting re-releases, new editions, minis etc. Home consoles is prob less than 75
Probably tens of thousands if you count the clones and subvariants
In the video you can see several repeats, there is no merit in connecting several identical consoles
@@ernacaro2828 It could be that those are not connected OR they are different versions of the same System. For example, the two Sega Genesis seem to be from two different regions, as well as the two 32X connected to them.
Variants, minis, and I guess microcomputers as well.

I have 4 consoles connected to my tv and my cable management is a disaster 😂

When he said "My number one favorite console of all time..." I keep on saying "Sega Genesis/Mega Drive" in my head, and thankfully he picked it! What an awesome setup and good taste this man has... HOWEVER, while his switch setup is great, the cables he's using for his old consoles are not. He needs to throw away those nasty RCA cables and upgrade to at least component cables, or SCART and needs an upscaler like the Retrotink4k if he's going with just a 1 modern TV setup.
I personally use a 5 TV setup in my gaming room (4K for modern consoles, Plasma 1080p for 7th gen consoles, CRT VGA PC monitor for 6th gen, PVM for my 3rd and 4th gen, and consumer grade Sony trinitron for my 5th gen consoles).
SEGA one of the best console in the world and all time.

I would imagine this nerd runs his power to a system of controlled PDU jacks, so basically he can power up/down any circuit on (lets call it a smart powerstrip) and he can easily code certain outlets to match imput circuits. He is only powering up one system at a time and they make data server rooms based on this concept
