  • On Sun 04/02/18, Southern Shorthaul Railroad train no. 9192 loaded grain from Manangatang is seen heading south. The first view shows S302-T381-T386 as they leave Inglewood shortly after sunrise and rock and roll their way towards Dunolly. The next scene shows the trio as they blast up the 1 in 50 ( 2 % ) grade away from Tarnagulla.'
    The next scene shows them as they roll through the silos at Dunolly after rejoining the mainline line.
    The final scene shows the train as it begins the climb up the 1 in 48 ( 2.08% ) grade as they depart Maryborough.
    The S class is a 1957 locally built EMD unit with a 16-567.
    The trailing T class are 1960's vintage locally EMD's with 8-645's.

    Now the line to Mildura is standard gauge we might catch them hauling grain from here. Love to see SSR streamliners.

      You won't see this train up that way at all once it all goes SG. The siding it unloads in is BG, so will be limited to Piangil, Deniliquin, and Tpcumwal lines.
