- This was an unforgettable adventure, my friends! @PaleoCris, Bri, and myself set out on an epic canoe journey through one of Florida's most primitive and un-touched creeks. Not only does this location yield an assemblage of rare and unique fossils, but it's simply one of the most beautiful places I've ever seen. Hope y'all enjoy!

I've said it a bunch over the years......hands down, my favorite friendship on CZcams. 🤜🤛
Thank you my friend ❤️
I know I have said this before, but it is GREAT to see the boys back together fossil hunting. You can actually feel the love you all have for each other, and you make me laugh so much that I cry. Bless you guys xxx
Yes you all are the best group on CZcams! You have such a wealth of knowledge between you all on fossils and plant life! And you continue learning daily to share with us. I love it. Thank you all for being such an inspiration in such really heavy times.
We love to hear that we can help inspire y'all! That's what it's all about! Thank you ❤️
Omg.😂😂. Paleocris looked like the inventor off Despicable Me when he pulled his hair up around his goggles strap.😂😂
Hahahahaha omg YES
My favorite CZcams friends!!!!!
I had watched paleocris's video of this hunt the day before but you three are such good friends, I had to watch your video! I love the camaraderie between you three. It just makes my heart swell! Don't ever change and don't ever lose this. It's so special! Thanks Kyle!❤
It was fun watching your version and Chris’s version of this trip on the same day.
We love you, Wild Kyle!
I watched paleocris yesterday and was waiting for your video. I always look forward to your adventures. ❤
I watched Paleocris yesterday. I'm excited to see your version of the fossil hunt. Thanks for taking us along. 😃❤️
Same here!
The best at what you guys do! Always incorporating the wonders of nature that surround us while on the hunt.
OMG!!! So much fun seeing ya'll back together. Thank you for the fun, laughter and exciting adventure. ❤️✌️🤗
I love watching you guys and these fascinating adventures but Bree is a very brave girl, not scared of bugs, snakes or anything gross. You Go Girl.
Awww...great finds, but horrid little buggers!!! I have missed fossil stuff! I'm so glad you've done some!
Those flies are ROUGH! Glad you enjoyed us getting back to fossils. I was very happy about it too! :)
Awesome finds!! Always good to see Chris and Bri!!
What a great day with cris and brie❤so beautiful out there 😍
Love to c u all together
You guys should get a license to make a business out of fossil tours! I'd totally pay for it. Also, can y'all do those calcite shell hunting videos again?
Up here in TN , Mississippian/Pennsylvanian! Love seeing the stuff your finding! Feel a road trip coming on! Thank you!
Same here . An interesting boat trip , if you know the route , will take you to a tiny spot all the way back in the Ordivician, surrounded by a few square miles of Silurian and Devonian strata .
Truly impressive if you know how it came to be , especially since this is the only exposures of Silurian and Devonian age this side of Nashville , and , the Ordivician is only seen even further to the East in the Valley and Ridge , unless you can somehow obtain access to the mines in Gordonsville .
You all have some much fun together. It is great to watch th adventures and to see your finds.
The little spider with the leaf was awesome. What an amazing flower. Those yellow flies are awful bug repellent doesn't work and they bite little chunks out of you. That giant shark tooth is so cool. Love all your videos with your besties Chris and Bree but where is Natalie? 😊❤
Yeah they just drink the big spray 😂😂. Natalie was at work on this day sadly 🥺
love seeing you three hanging out and finding cool stuff!
I love watching you guys. You are so knowledgeable and fun.
Fun video. Very beautiful place. THANKS.
I'm so happy about your new video together
I love you both
it was totally worth watching to the end! 🤩
Kyle, the back of that tooth has what looks like rodent damage! Ever find a deer antler with mouse or squirrel chew marks on it? Looks just like that. My guess is this tooth washed up some time before it was fossilized, and a rodent chewed on the root, leaving those marks. Hopes that was helpful! :)
I would agree with you as far as scavenger feeding on whatever flesh was available, but would certainly have to be a sea bottom dweller, imo.🤔
@@pezdiablito No, not really. That species of shark lived during the Palaeocene-Eocene epochs, about 60-45 million years ago. The oldest rodent fossils are roughly 160 million years old, so the time period overlap is right - we had these sharks and gnawing rodents alive at the same time. Portions of the Florida peninsula have been above or below sea level at least four times. It takes a really long time for something to fully fossilize, and this tooth could very well have been left high and dry in the middle of present-day Florida, for a rodent to find and gnaw on the root. It all fits, and I have never seen any marine animal leave marks like that on bone, but I have seen rodent damage EXACTLY like that on other terrestrial fossils, mammoth bones, and modern-day bones a thousand times. That's rodent damage, I'd bet my life on it.
You three make me laugh so much. Love that sharkie tooth Kyle! You definitely need to go back there soon.
Awesome explore, Kyle. That Angusteiden tooth is so cool!❤
I love it when you guys can get together for a trip! your videos always make my day and I love the hidden history, like where you guys talk about the "black drink". oh and the snake may have ben a water thresher they are related to the common garter snake.
Lots of great stuff in this vid!! Great finds.
Y’all are so funny🤣🤣😂🤣🤪
Lol I just watched Paleo cris' video lol but I love it.. watching yours too!
Another video 😊love it! I simply love watching you guys & always wish I were there hunting with you
I do love seeing the flowers and snakes. I like the history of the bottle and marble hunts but fossil hunting trips are my favorite so I am so happy you 3 got to take this trip and filmed it for us! Also I am a bit re traumatized at seeing the demise of the wrap again. Hahaha
Hahahahahaa I think we are all still traumatized from the attack of the flies 😂😂😂
Thank y’all for showing the flowers. They’re my favorite thing to photograph when I’m out exploring. I love your adventures and the awesome friendships you share.
Thank you Susan ❤️
I love watching you all together it just seems right, It would be even better if Natalie was there also. Much love from Maine💜🧡💚❤
She had to work this day sadly 😭😭😭
@@WILDKYLEI'm so glad someone asked because I was missing her, too!
I ❤❤❤love seeing the three of you !!!!
Wow, nice tooth at the end! Thanks for braving those biting flies to bring us a fun video! :-)
Of course! It was worth it! ☺️
Happy to see you searching for fossils in a beautiful creek instead of trudging through pollution finding garbage.
Great Find Kyle!!! Thank you for sharing your adventure with us!!! I truly appreciate it!!! God Bless Us All!!!
Amazing video!! Thanks for sharing!!
Kyle, I'm in love with that spot, too!💜💜💜
So jealous!!
Awesome video, again!!!!🥰🥰🥰
I love seeing your perspective versus paleocris! 😅
You folks are so lucky to have those fossils, all of ours are Devonian and Silurian. Other than a few random ice age remnants which are ultra rare. Still love my Paleozoic fossils but keep showing us your cool Florida and southern finds. Regards, Bruce County Ontario.
I feel like you're lucky to have Devonian and Silurian fossils! 😂 So yeah I totally understand how you feel. I always wish I could find a little of everything here, but gotta travel for certain things haha!
You guys are crazy and I love it, ha.😂
Thank you 😂😂
Thanks for braving the flies. I hope, someday, you go back to where you and your dad got fossil coral. That was so beautiful!
Ok shark tooth blew my mind! Great find!👏🏻👏🏻😻
Thanks Joy!
This is actually amazing how much fossils you guys found. Absolutely incredible!
GREAT video 😁 Thanks WildKyle & the Paleocouple 😁
The ending line HAS to be “Bree, What Did You Do”.😂😂😂
Huzzah! Another episode of The Land of the Lost with Rick, Will and Holly 🎉 Love this show !
Great video as always. I bought lost it at the end with all the flies. Lol😂
We are traumatized forever 😂😂😂
The river your in looks like the creek near me in WCC FL ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️⚒️🗝️🇺🇸 Funny I ducked the whole time with you 😂😅😉 The yellow flies are so vicious where I live as well 🥺
Hahahaha don't wanna hit your head! 😂
Woohoo hunting👍
lol that was the coolest little “worm snail” apartment complex! How many units you think that thing had?
If it had taken you so long to get there and it was late when you arrived then it had to be nearly midnight by the time you made it back to your house.
With you all being so young and adventurous I know that your poisonous snake/biting yellow fly trip was so well worth it!
Way to go and congratulations on your amazing finds!! ❤❤❤
"Look at you bottoms up like geese." LOL
Another great video with 3 friends ,maybe the next time it will be 4 friends. Take care ,be safe.
That sounds like the title of your next song Kyle, "I Don't Want No Kiss From No Yellow Fly". As I posted on Cris's video, It pained me deeply when you casually pushed aside the piece of fossilized ivory. It's nice to get 2 perspectives of the hunt. The Yellow Flies look nasty.
Hahahahahahaha you could have been killed hahahahahahaha. What a hoot! Glad you found good stuff.
I know exactly where y'all are at in this one, and its undoubtedly my favorite hunting spot in the area. Great video!
I wanna know more about the caffeine plant Chris and Kyle.
Love to see you guys out together having fun and finding amazng things, what a beautiful place, love the clear river and wildlife but couldn't cope with those flies. I love nature but have a terrible phobia of anything with more than four legs, your canoe needs a mosquito net😂
I enjoy your videos,I'm originally from Pennsylvania, but live in Freeland Maryland, awesome finds you and your wife finds
What a hoot of an ending! If you run out of flies, please feel free to head to Whitefish Point in Michigan's UP in June!
25:48 "it's getting turkey aww yeah"
9:29 into your video I think you missed a green marble in the top right corner. ;D I really have enjoy watching your outings. You are fortunate to live in such a great area to explore.
It is the common waters nakedness. They sometimes scare people miss it up with it's deadly cousin. I have been where you are.I am 84 and remember going where you are and other rivers, creeks and lakes.
Hey Kyle! Just a little information, they just found the dead remains of a young dire wolf on skinwalker ranch! Really interesting episode. Ps I saw your friend from adventure archeology just pulling hutch after hutch out and I thought about you! 🤣
Oh wow! That's incredible. And yes, Brandon be finding the hutches hahaha!
Run away! Peppermint extract mixed with 90% rubbing alcohol has been working great for me with mosquitoes! They will swarm but not land , and seems to hold up better when sweating than conventional sprays. Not sure about fllys! Might want to give a try!
Definitely need to try that! Thank you!
Please educate us on poison ivy and poison oak more 🙏
What happen to the mysterious swamp children’s ? Did they find out were they hindering its been a while since Kyle and Criss have seen foot prints of them haha :)
First comment 😅
Love your videos, awesome stuff
Waterbabies sunblock will help repel the yellow flies.. I live around Panama city Beach Florida and we've used it for years now..trust me it helps
Great video, Kyle! I just finished watching @PaleoCris and @PaleoBri in their video, and it's nice to have more footage of the landscape and finds from there.
Looks like when the tooth fell out and the root was soft it was soft enough to create those intentions before it fossilized.
How far about is this from the Gulf? 😳
Kyle, I can tell that Chris has had formal education in Paleontology. Have you also had formal education, or have you learned from Chris and experience? You also seem to be quite knowledgeable.😊
Neither of us have had a formal education in Paleontology! We're just both very passionate about learning!
Well you are certainly doing a wonderful job at it!!! Including teaching all of your viewers!! Thank you!!
Arrrrrr! The dreaded yellow flies! A beautiful but deadly addition to Jurassic Park. lol
As a native and resident of the Florida panhandle (north of Panama City) i feel your pain when dealing with those biting hell flies! They barely even graze you and youre left with swelling, redness, pain, and itch that lasts for days!!!
Im sure God made them for a reason, although what that is, exactly, ive never figured out.
Point to ponder:
Did all those palms and other trees that impeded your progress grow across the river naturally?
Or, when no humans are around, do the flies band together and place them there then lie in wait for their feast to float by perhaps??? lol
P. S. that brought to mind what my uncle said when i was young and that i think of every time i see one today......he said, "fireflies are just mosquitoes with flashlights".
And even though they dont bite, the visual it creates in your mind never fails to make me chuckle.
Great video, guys. Take care😊
awesome stuff. what part of FL are you guys in?
🤔so if it has to sides points its anstor to a meg huh
37:42 im gonna have to look at mine🤔
Have y'all heard of Thermacell insect repellents? i hate biting insects too. They work incredibly well.
You need a really heavy duty bug repellent out there. Great finds with the teeth. Awesome adventure. Did you make it out of the river before it got really dark?
It was completely dark when we made it back to the truck. Luckily we had flashlights 😂
@@WILDKYLE I'm so glad you were safe 🙂
🤣what BANE 24:10 🤣
😂😂😂😂
@@WILDKYLE 🤣had 2
‘Tis a banded watersnake
Kyle needs to learn that bags with holes in them lead to sadness. :)
What kind of fly do sting like this ? That’s look like its going to be very itchy
Great times. Except for the biting g flys. Nice teeth
I always wonder why when it takes you so long to get to your target location, why you don’t bring a tent with you so you can camp at the location and get some extra time the following day at the site?
I'm sure we'll do that sometime soon!
What river are you on or what part of Florida are you in ..❤
New kyle song: I Don’t Want A Kiss From A Yella Fly
Im imagining a fast toe stepper song with your country style soul to it.
O ME O MY,
I DONT WANT A KISS FROM A YELLA FLY!
Does it sometimes boggle your mind how things that were alive millions of years ago turn into stone and become part of the world around us today? In the end, we're all stardust. That was a big snake (and snake skin).
Not turtlehead. They are much later. Penstemon species.
My goodness kids you guys are awesome when you go out doing stuff like this your friendship is incredible and I just enjoy everything you do and you get your girlfriends interested into it and they find better things than you do sometimes and Kyle I’m sorry but you got a hole in your butt on your suitand it really shows when you turn around. Sorry sweetie😂😂😂😂❤❤❤❤❤❤
Hahahahaa I knew somebody was gonna see that on my wetsuit 😂 I was laughing at that while I edited the video. Thanks for all the kind words, Grace! ❤️
wait, why are you guys videos mirrored?
Hey Kyle,
I just watched your video and I must say it's really helpful and well made.
I was wondering if I could help you design your thumbnails for better CTR? Wanna try out a free one?
Was it Sasquatch that smelled bad?
Also what kind of fly gave Bree that armpit boob? Ouch!!!
They are called yellow flies in Florida. Similar to a deer/horse fly up North, but worse.
Kyle you have to stop living in fear buddy .. you notice everything that could “get you” lol
Haha, I think it's the opposite for me, actually. I'm not afraid, but I am aware. I even made sure to say the snakes are NOT out to get you, contrary to what some folks believe.
If I lived in fear I wouldn't be out snorkeling in alligator and snake territory. 😉
