Mercedes ML 270 CDI Not Revving Past 3000RPM - FIXED!

  • In this video I went about fixing the problem where that was preventing the ML to rev past 3000rpm. The car felt really slow and was taking about 26 seconds to do 0 - 60mph. Now the car is fixed and pulling like a train again.

    I have been searching for weeks and couldn't find the same problem, I changed the MAF. Map, EGR Valve and solenoid, Swirl Flaps and actuator and still had the same problem. I checked all the intercooler hoses for leaks, no issues, but the problem remained, until I finally checked the solenoid for the Waste Gate actuator and found a bad connection,
    I tested the car and BINGO

    could someone help w210 270 cdi when I start the car it won't go over 3000 rpm, only after about 20-30 minutes of driving it starts working and pulls normally

      @@ranat5526 Rana get a cheap Bluetooth OBD2 scanner and the torque app or carly app and scan the codes so you can pin point the problem in your car and then go from there before you start throwing more parts at the car! Let me know if you need any help when you get the codes scanned! 👍🏻

      ​@@evosgarage I undid the egr and it's was fully blocked, going to do a clean up and removing the swirl flaps along with a Mr muscle oven cleaner blast on the turbo.

    Everytime i get diagnostik on repair they say air mass sensor i have buyed like 5 ones😭😭😭😭

    Nice video! What's your experience with this engine? is it worth it above the 3.2l petrol/gas engine?

      If I could choose I would prefer the 3.2 inline 6. The engine from the 320CDI.

      @ramonbs6075 unless you live in dubai or the USA I would recommend the 270CDI as the 3.2 v6 is known to be veeeery thirsty😉

    I have the same problem with my w210 can u help even when its in P Or N cant go past 300

      Hi Rei! I also have a W210 but it's a 300td. I hope this helps you, in the past I had a similar problem in it, I replaced the MAF sensor, Map sensor, EGR, Both vaccum solenoides and all the vaccum hoses, none of that fixed the problem, in the end it was the fuel tank pre filter that sits under the fuel tank, it was completely clogged with gunk, replaced that and 30000 miles later the car has been running like a dream. check that in your car, you never know. 👍

    I have the same problem with my 2009 C c220 cdi. Only after its warmed up and engine under stress, something happens, no kick down and won't go over 3000rpm.....I will attempt to change the MAF sensor and let you know.

    My 2002 c220cdi has this as an intermittent prob, pull over turn off start again its fine!...till next time🙄

      Hi mate! I would suggest you get the codes scanned with a cheap Bluetooth obd2 reader. That's likely to point in the right direction and it might be something very simple to solve!👌🏼
      It seems the ecu going into limp mode and there must be a good reason for it but it can be something simple as MAF sensor for example.

      @@evosgarage ok thanks although i have a more pressing issue with it at min, it is stuck in nuetral wont go in reverse or park, sort of half goes into drive but not as far as normally lever should go but at least i can move it forwards, i have just bought a used lever and gear selector and 🤞 that will sort it

      Hi quick update which may be of help to others in future, i replaced the gear shifter module with a second hand unit as three diff sources said it would not need programming on a2002car WRONG! A nightmare time with lots of issues (stuck in 1st, no reverse saying R when im driving!.stuck in 4th..and others!) Took it to a magic auto elec who took all the "brains" out of my old shifter and put them in the new one and it is now working fine after a week👍 now its pouring black smoke and loss of power though🙄 bloody vehicles eh😅
