I owned one of these in 1971 here in the UK, drove it to Biarritz in France, and then over the Pyrenees through Spain to Lisbon in Portugal in September, it was really hot, no aircon then, just the 1/4 light windows turned outwards ,sitting in swimshorts on a beach towel, still sweating buckets, it was good to reach the mountain ranges in northern Portugal and ice cold water from the streams.
if one has a garage without lot´s of humidity ,it´s like this they look after being well stored ,i have 8 old cars stored all look new but i always have to change some parts when i start to drive them after being stoped for more than 7 years but if one drives them from month to month they work with no problems ,this bmw it´s an example i still have 4 bmw´s from 1970 to 1980 and all are driven monthly, but each brand it´s a diferent work to be kept like this one ,also refering to mechanics but basically they need spark plugs ,battery , oil change and it´s working again ,but with a eye on temperature ,normally bmw´s resist more because they have a high quality bosh electrical wiring, wich is one of the main reasons not much work needs to be done, and engines by that time had a real good engeniering, i had the next model after the one in the video but it started to wrotten body wise and it was stored in a region where humidity was almost none in the air, i sold it to another colector that wanted to restore it starting from it´s structure so i sold it cheap around at the time 250€(this working without any problem either than rust) so i could buy a coupé cs for 750€, this in early 90´s ,wich i spend around 500€ to put it to work again and if it wasn´t the price of gasoline i would have made it my daily driver. i only keep some mercedes and bmw´s ,also some italian cars all from group fiat except ,ferrari´s, this because i like the way they work and are easy and safe to drive, regards
Hi came to me even though such a BMW is just taken apart from the interior and there would be two questions about what it is. You van help me? Sorry for my bad english

Toll! Bilder sprechen für sich!
It's quite impressive that this car is unrestored. That's real dedication.

Beautiful looking car. I've never seen a BMW 1800 4 door. I've seen 1800 2 doors. But never 4 doors.
Absolutely stunning!
