Watching this series will help those planning to ride at BTSR prepare for the experience. We encourage participants to watch these videos, with the understanding that a full Saddling and Tack-up demonstration will occur on the evening of your arrival, between feedings the next morning and shorty after breakfast by a qualified wrangler. Too bad you can’t rock a backpack. Thanks Bob. Great to see you. A lot of that stuff is my edc. 😃🍺
Weight distribution. We outfit our remote camps with essentials and emergency equipment. Minimalizimg the weight on the horses for the rough trails helps them a great deal.
That makes sense for Hondo sake. 😃
NICE TO SEE YOU MY FIEND NICE VIDEO 💪..GLAD TO KNOW THE YOU STILL ON THAT SADDLED
Could you please show how a duster might come be used on the trail? Thanx, love your channel long time!
P.S.
Hope your eyes are well along the mend.
Ohhhh... That's making me dream of going to Texas big time!!! 💜
Hey Bob, just watched the video, now, my girls are. 👍👍 I got to them get down there someday.
Well done
I’d love too 👍🏻
Thanks for sharing Bob I’d love to but who knows one day maybe 👍🇬🇧
I was a part of your first cavalcade back. This would have been so helpful back then
Better late than never I guess. You’ll have to come back and see what we have been building.
@@barelysurvival336 I would love to! I just have to convince my troop :)
Will a standard belt canteen work, along with the water bottles
in the saddlebags? Easy to grab. I usually carry one when I'm in
the field hunting...
Nice to see you looking so chipper Bob!
I carry 2 of the old belt canteens like the one in the cover photo. Have to insist on getting them in the saddle bags. Gets brushy at times, don’t want to have a larger Profile that might get you caught. There is also weight dispersal. Put the weight down low so your body travels with better balance.
Great gear Bob! Thanks for the video.
Love this channel
Awesome
I agree not every person needs a map, but I believe every map needs a compass. If something happened to the Wrangler(s) ... A freak accident... I can read a map, but which way do I go? And can I stay on that line without a compass, since I'm not familiar with the area? 💜🌞🌵😷
Compasses are not particularly helpful here. Landmarks give you headings up on top, water flows downstream so you know which way is up stream in the canyons. This is not a compass kind of place.
Come see, I’ll show you how to navigate the sky islands.
Good video Bob. Bedroll vid is 404 not available.
Just fixed it. Appreciate it.

Where was that music from at the end ?
The Duke ?
Western spaghetti is the title.

this should fit any bill...
what is the drawstring bag/backpack for? its on the packing list, and you had it on the table, but i didn't hear you say anything about it
Can hydro flasks be used rather than a Nalgene if it fits into the saddle bag?
Love the canvas saddle bags is there a brand or company for those?
Company went out of business 8 years ago unfortunately. I’m now making them to donate in my shop. Building gear and getting them set up. Company was Buckaroo out of Colorado.
@@barelysurvival336 does that mean i can make a donation and get a set? Or your donating to the camp?
@@karmaclanton5544 I’m donating the bags to the camp. Takes me linger to build these days, but they are more durable than what is n the market.
@@barelysurvival336 I believe that I've been look for something like that for a long time. I can tell they are quality gear. Thanks 😊
Hello Bob ! I’m a bit confused due to comments, one viewer I’ve seen on other videos, saying he wished he could go. I’ve asked n the past if u gave rides to the public, at that time u said u did not, but might n the future, do u have an opening now for the public??? R fanny packs allowed??? Thank u Bob
Scheduling rides beginning in the Spring (March) into June. Open now to those that are physically and mentally fit. You can put the fanny pack in the saddle bags. You want to keep the weight low on the horse and reduce the risk of a tree branch grabbing a strap and holding onto you.
How do I sign up?
Going to have a full rollout come spring. Let this COVID stuff rollover and get everything geared up for a fantastic season.
@@barelysurvival336 look forward to it, I'm in Texas, sounds like fun
