My first time ever eating snake was a diamondback rattlesnake with my dad, I was about eight years old. We were all out fishing and my dad stumbled across it (bout that size) and stomped it’s head with his boot, brought it home and we ate it. I don’t remember if we caught any fish that day but I do remember bringing home a diamondback rattlesnake for dinner! Good times!!

I hate killing snakes, but peeling their skin off is so satisfying

An armadillo terrorist has decided to decimate the root system of a mature maple in my backyard. TOTAL destruction on a scale I've never seen before... looks more like the work of a wild boar but I'm in a neighborhood in a fenced yard so we know it ain't that. What a nightmare we've got here.

So cool all the people with drones and other cool new gear to explore and find hidden places and truths they've been hiding from us to keep us ignorant about this lands history and people. So glad to see this happening. Yes its best to not disclose any locations until the site has been totally explored and documented. Hope you have a great discovery. The weaving in the fire pit is called “waddle”, if I’m not mistaken. It’s an incredibly old way to build walls. It’s usually paired with “daub”, a mix of mud, straw, and well…dung. It’s amazing how some form of latticework, paired with a mud/clay filler, feature almost universally across primitive cultures.
