- Discover the mouthwatering flavors of Fish On! Camp Grill, a family-owned open-pit grill located within the Alaska State Fair.
Buffy and Brady Meyer, the owners and operators, spend their time hunting and foraging the native ingredients that make up their menu. Some of their most popular offerings include Grilled King Crab, Umiak (a tasty Alaskan take on jalapeno poppers), Salmon Sliders, and Halibut Salad.
Buffy and Brady are also very passionate about spreading awareness of Alaska's indigenous people, and they do so through cooking demos and even by helping to build a stage for traditional dancing.
Don't miss out on the chance to taste these unique flavors - be sure to catch Fish On! when the fair rolls around. Otherwise, you'll be left waiting another year to experience their culinary creations.

MORE NATIVE AMERICAN FOOD AND CULTURE ON THIS CHANNEL PLEASE, THANK YOU. THIS WAS GR8.
I was lucky enough to meet Buffy and Brady shortly after moving to AK. They are two of the most genuine loving individuals I have ever met! Their food is amazing, and their love of tradition and of everyone shines in what they cook! Great job guys and keep doing what you do best!!
You don't need a million dollars to truly be happy and doing what you enjoy in life and Buffy and Brady Meyer are a shining example of this. I love their creativity. Sockeye salmon sausages? Are you kidding me? TAKE MY MONEY!
After watching many of Sonny's videos on fair food (and don't get me wrong, I do love his content!) this is a refreshing change, showing some honest, wholesome food available at fairs. "You grill your crab, you boil your laundry" Love it! Great to see some people doing it purely for the passion of the food/process. They could easily make a lot more coin with a brick and mortar or even franchise out, but these guys are keeping it honest and humble!
I am from Europe. I would say that I am a foodie guy. I consider food as the best gift of our lives. I don't eat to live, I live to eat. I am not picky, I like everything almost. At least for once! I need to taste everything! I have never had this giant crab nor the other stuff but I would like to taste it. The charcoal, the attitude, the vibe, the energy how they cook it - it's brilliant. The seal? Wow! The meat loooks so tunnafishy/beefy must be delicatese even when I know it's a cute animal :-))). I would like to be rich to help others and travel to gain pricless experiences even experience :-P. Thanks! Cheers from the Czechia.
Cheers back to you!
I love how they talk about each other. Now that's what a partnership should look like.
Thank you #Munchies and#Vice for another family success story. No one brings to life the real stories of real people better than the entire Munchies team. Thank you #FIshOnCampGrill for sharing your processes and story of success. All the best in 2024
I love how they embrace the culture and way of life
Wow, these folks are just so genuine. They have such a wonderful story and the passion behind their craft and their food is so evident. The scenes of the seafood cooking on the grill had me ready to buy a plane ticket. And I love their commitment to sustainability and subsistence living.
Great video. Love it when you showcase traditional, family, and regional-generational food presentations. This is just one more thing to add to my bucket list for Alaska. The food looks amazing and something I would cook at home.
What a great video, it made my day. Seeing this kind of marriage both working hard and being happy, such a joy. God bless them
Excellent video! Amazing that other people only get to enjoy this cuisine once a year at the State Fair. This was a very heartening story about one family who make "great eats!". Thank you for sharing this with the rest of us viewers!
Life done right. May all the good things in life find their way to this beautiful couple .
It'd be worth a trip back to Alaska, just for the yummy grilled fare at the family-owned Fish On! Camp Grill❣
I love the way they look at each other
Such amazing people and I would do anything to eat at their food stand
Great video! Love the Native Traditions being kept alive
She is absolutely beautiful!!! Everything looks amazing. 🥰
My god, I'm only an occasional Munchies viewer, but this is easily one of the most delicious looking episodes. I kept saying "my god" out loud at how good some of this stuff looks.
You never disappoint! Awesome job! 😀
What a delightful family!
Wow my mouth is watering for everything they make.
Salmon sausage... what a freaking cool idea!! Look your attitude towards cooking.
Loved this video! And the delicious looking food!
Bruh Alaskan state fair 2024 here we come incredible can’t wait
Awesome video, place, food, People! If only Michelin had a guide for Fair Food. Three Stars!!!
$75 for a whole king crab boil is outstanding
Looks so good!!
I’ve seen a bunch of these videos and the food on here definitely looks the absolute best I want to try that grilled king crab
We LOVE Fish On! It's so dang good and a MUST try experience if you ever come to the State Fair in Palmer. We've had the crab legs, crab boil, fry bread and the amazing jalapeno thing. So, so good! And we've had the seal-10x better then any piece of filet mignon I've ever had! Sadly, they didn't sample it last year.
Fish On!
So where is the graphic content 🤔
I'm going to assume shellfish were harmed in the making of this video. 😆😆
I think it was the crab leg 🥲
They sliced open a whole seal that was graphic at 5:47.
Yeah, I’m guessing a few people, who think that skinning that seal is “graphic,” aren’t bothered at all by getting some beef in plastic wrap at the grocery. 😲
People are sensitive these days so they gotta put these disclaimers before the videos
Her food is very similar to southern swedish/danish food. We make a sweet drink out of the fireweed flowers and the frybread is a little similar to krabbelurer or æbleskiver! I also have inuit relatives so its nice to see the traditions and the clothing being on stage when it has been hidden and shamed so many years.
That salmon bratwurst got my mouth leaking. Looks so bomb!
Wow.. Really interesting, would like to try it when go to Alaska, fresh salmon 😍😍😍😍.. And Alaskan crab.. Yummy
Salmon bratwurst sounds great!
Great video. Very informative. The food looks yummy!
Oh my god this looks so delicious! 😋
Your model is solid! Keep going!...
"you grill your crab you boil your laundry" wise words to live by
Keep it simple. Good work.
food looks good and all but this lady's drip with those octopus pants is fire
Her pants are absolute fire!
Awesome food and lifestyle
Please keep things just the way they are🎉❤
She's so beautiful 😍
Always love the guy cooking my food to use his hand towel for his nose
all this looks delicious =)
These people are truly awesome
Good to see farideh's work on this too
Man her skin is next level
Red chimichurri?! 🤯🤤😇
Super yummy 🎉❤
14 KIDS?!?!
I want to go to Alaska now
Look at these fresh ingredients... I really want to try food cooked with charcoal.
i think you're onto something with that sockeye slugger!
“All charcoal, all natural” *kingsford briquets*
I'd be there daily. 💯
I want that sockeye bratwurst 😩
Put this place on my list to go eat at
You won't be disappointed come early though, towards the end of the run, some things sell out!
Lovely. I respect that they had opportunities to go bigger and commit to a stable place, but the effort that would entail would rob them of their joy. Good luck to them!
I want that painting
That’s one of our families fish camps I grew up going to. Such fond memories spent there with my parents and grandparents.
❤❤❤❤❤❤
❤
i'm going to this one year
It's amazing. Bring lots of $$$$$
Salam alaikum dear friend 🙏 good job 👍👍 my dear friend 🙏 from Pakistan 🇵🇰🤲
Isso é muito
Where and when is this state fair ? (Exactly)
This years Alaska state fair will be from august 19th thru sept 5th 2024
This what I want to eat in the USA when I visit not poor man copy of European foods
this looks delicious.
I’m sorry you feel that way about Americans cuisine.
Same
Outstanding munchies content per usual.
What clown decided something about this was graphic?
I will take a snow 🦀
what was that word again? something living...? Dude really liked saying it.
*A trigger warning before a food show? Why? ... WHY??* ... I guess we/Munchies truly have arrived in the stupid ages.
how life pose to be
Seal
Use Japanese Binchotan, Japanese charcoal
Woops @2:59. Wipes hands then nose XD
Graphic content: 0:15
Was waiting for graphic content the whole time, man vice has gone charmin ultra soft, i miss the good ole days. The acceleration of the proliferation of a certain ideaology is not uniquely terrifying, yet still frightening to witness in 2024.
waawaa
Your second sentence is word salad. Ay, pass the balsamic! lol jk jk, but still.
They're at a fair what did you expect?
Hank Hill does not approve of the charcoal.
Where exactly is the graphic content? -why the warning? legit question...
For the Harbour seal demo-which is amazing and delishes.
I always find it funny that Alaskan Seafood is over price in Alaska. Better to ship it and eat it in the lower 48.
Not if you catch it yourself
Zero graphic content. Time for people to grow up
Holy fuck why don't you have him explain subsistence living for a fourth time in a row? Brutal edit
I miss Farideh’s videos
@@rotimioyemade8179fired for being an obese alcoholic
So graphic
This is a fake ad, I was paid to place a like from someone from Pakistan
Non vegan stuff... 😮🎉
I think it's the gutting of fish and cracking of shellfish that is considered graphic content. 🤔
Vegans
Harvesting the Harbour seal
Open a gosh dang good truck at least.
We did add a food truck this last year that we will open up on special days. Mother’s Day, Father’s Day catered events and special events.
Everything looked so gud, but then yall lost me wit the seal eww
First!
Timing of this video sure is awkward, what with the collapse of the king crab population...
Second!
Actually fresh in other states you think it's fresh 😂 it has to travel. Far 😂 not fresh 😂 but in Alaska to get are fish price is crazy cause they are selling in other states. It's stupid. I am not a seafood person but still anger me . I'm glad they are here and where it should be. Be mad if you want don't care ...
Was the whole video "graphic content" because of vegans? 😅
She called herself "Eskimo"...Woke police, attack!
Why do you think we would be upset?
She's from Nome
Foraging is graphic content now 🤦♂️ woke Vice
get rid of the crab butter dummy, before you boil it
Munchies, i don't know who is your video editor is but this color grading are just NOT IT!
It's dull, unmotivated and the food looked pale, it's unappetizing!
