      We could never have endured the horrors of the trump presidency without humor & believe me it really wasn't at all funny. We laugh at everything to deal with stress. We laugh because we can. Our free press means we can use this format to express serious issues in a light way. It does not mean we don't care. Many here wish our government would do more but we are exhausted with having to end wars that start in Europe. We live in peace here with our neighbors. We are much stronger than all our south American neighbors, than Canada, than the bahamas, yet we not overpower them & take them over. You all have to rise up for regime change....we can't do that for you.

      Americans should pay attention that the US must perhaps pay a high price for the fact that in 2014 they staged a coup d'etat and brought to power Ukrainian nationalists who began genocide in the Donbas!
      Undoubtedly, someone has to "pay the bills" of God for the children of Donbass (whom the Ukrainian Nazis have been killing for all these 8 years) by shooting at residential buildings czcams.com/video/ArNdiRFD3Xc/video.html
      And for those killed in a brutal way by the Ukrainian Nazis czcams.com/video/e7tN0MjRQDI/video.html
      After the US refused to negotiate with Russia (December 2021) about safety at the Russian border (perhaps in the hope that sooner or later the U.S. will deploy shock weapons on the Russian borders, as in Romania and Poland), Russia had no other choice but to neutralize the military infrastructure in the Ukraine (including the British naval base in Ochakiv)
      The US is the main culprit of the shed blood, as the blood spilled in the middle East...
      Putin at the end of his speech (on the beginning of the military operation in Ukraine) said: "If someone tries to stop Russia from the outside, they will get a response from Russia that they have never experienced on their own land"! So sit still and just watch...

All the best for righteous Ukranians and Russians alike.

      @candacen7779 Před 2 lety +27

      His tone is just fine. He's trying to bring joy to a dark moment for people who need levity and humor. Stephen has made over a year's worth of jokes about the Capitol insurrection, so it's not like he can't find humor in darkness. Just because he and his writing team didn't have a spin on the Jan 6th situation to introduce humor the day that it happened doesn't mean they cared more about that moment than this one.
      Stop assuming that there's only *one* right reaction to this situation. If you want to be somber and maudlin, fine. But millions of people don't. And Stephen is a comedian doing his best to keep spirits up during an incredibly difficult time. He's not mocking the situation. He's not insulting those who are being wronged. He's pointing out hypocrisy and malice related to the situation with a humorous bent. There's a difference. And it is appreciated.

It's clear Putin thought the invasion would be a walk in the park no russian casualties no shot fired a triumph he could show to the russian people the rich oligarchs his friends and to the generals to make his position stronger but if russian soldiers die those same people will not be pleased that's why he's so angry with the ukranian people that's why he asked the ukranians to disobey their orders and surrender not certainly because he's preoccupied for the loss of lives (what a humanitarian he is). So Zelensky is fighting not only for Ukraine he's fighting for the rest of Europe (the same people who left him alone) and for the russian people too.

      @@OC-CPA how does that in any sense take away the severity of the situation? Yeah let's not feel or do anything because greater tragedies happen all the time, what a stupid line of argument.
