Zoo and castle Zlin-Lešná are located 8 km from city Zlin in the south-east of Czech Republic. You can get there by car or use public transportation - city buses from Zlin. The busiest period is of course during the summer season when the nature is green with leaves and blooming flowers and all animals are available to visitors.
The Zoo Zlin was established in 1948 and nowadays you can see there over 200 animal species.
The zoo is divided into areas according to continental origin of animals. The specific of Zoo Zlin is that many expositions are created as walk through.
Zoo train is available all year round for faster transfering around. There are many resting areas with attractions for kids and snack kiosks or restaurants.
