23:53 Funny how in USA X5 is considered a mom car. In Eastern Europe, they are usually blacked out and you do not want to mess with your average X5 owner. Overall blacked out X5 is considered the coolest SUV here.

Apparently the auto industry has something called an "extended warranty" which covers repairs after the original warranty expires. It works as follows......purchase extended warranty with predetermined deductible amount ($0, $50, $100, etc.) which offsets the anticipated $1000 and higher repair cost. If you no longer own the aforementioned vehicle prior to the extended warranty expiring, you can receive a prorated refund. I've used this process with different cars over the past decade.

*Ironic how they place the warning sticker for the laser headlights inside of the headlight housing, which means you have to stare into the headlight to read it - which is what the sticker tells you NOT to do.*

It's midsize everywhere but Europe.
With the M buttons, you can quickly toggle between race-mode and D-bag mode. D-bag mode deploys the spoiler, maximises the engine sound, and boosts the base on the steteo system, and disables the turn indicators

The upper climate vents on the sides are aimed at the window area to keep the view of the side mirror clear. It is a fairly common feature on modern BMWs. The idea is that the vent will prevent fogging of the window which may disrupt view of the side mirror, it is linked to the windshield vents so when you're defogging the windshield that window area is also defogged.

you can't open the tailgate while you are driving or if the car is on D. I have also never accidentally pressed while driving. It is actually a lot further up from the other buttons than what it seems. I think it's better placing it there than somewhere near your left foot which is usually hard to find and some times you can confuse them with the hood latch.

Douglas, that extra vent above the usual climate vents next to the door on either side is to make sure that the side windows don't fog up. I think most cars have it but manufacturers usually hide it more than what BMW has here
"Upper vents" at 14:14 are for defogging the side-windows near rear-view mirrors. This is useful in humid environments, when in cold mornings every window gets fogged.
So, with these vents you don''t need to readjust the climate vents to blow onto the side-windows and mess-up your perfect setup - those little vents already do the job.
Many cars have these (even some budget ones!), so the only quirk of the XM5C is the design they choose for the vents (as in the other cars they just kinda chill above the main climate vents with no visual purpose).
He really thought those window defrosters were for the passengers, even though they were permanently facing right at the windows and plenty of cars have them

They did all types of crazy shit. Like a V16 in a BMW 7 series (E32), a pick-up M3 E30 and E90, or a single BMW M3 Compact that almost went into production.

25:19 While true it may not beat the Trackhawk in a straight line drag race, the X5M would destroy the Trackhawk on the Nurburgring, or any road with turns! Not to mention BMW routinely sandbags the true HP figure of its high-end M cars, wouldn't be surprised if true HP is much higher that BMW has stated.
Dyno results show the X5M competition puts 615hp to the wheels. So rated hp is about 700hp. BMW always sandbags the hp #'s.

The top part of the vent is for the rear view mirrors . They are aimed at the windows right at the mirrors and if you have foggy windows that will clear it for visibility.

This BMW is so advanced in almost all ways but sadly the drive train is an Earth killer. Should be an electric engine and not old tech ICE. Sure to be a nightmare to repair in the not so distant future.
It would be $6,500 for one laser headlight, I got in an accident on my BMW i8 few years ago and that’s exactly how much it cost me to buy one

I bought my first BMW two years ago 4281 xdrive coupe. I can't believe the quality of this car when they say ultimate driving machine they weren't kidding. Even the GPS comes up on the heads up display. Heated seats and steering wheel. 4 performance modes what a great car .
