No Men of Iron, but the true Iron Men of the far future.
Moon men, as well; for if it hadn't been for those lunar genetic laboratories, they wouldn't have become the effective force that they had been.
One of their first Terran campaigns was in destroying a bastion of rebels to the Emperor's cause at a base in the ice, hmm? I sense great shades of a certain Empire having struck back at a very specific Echo Base, as influencing that particular legion legend.
The Iron Warriors acheived quite the tally of conquerors' expansions during their expeditions, in a comparaitively short span of 11 years. As methodical as their machinery. Who needs a perpetually pissy Perturabo?
This Legion were like the ore miner Astartes, with temperaments akin to the Old World's Dwarfs. Introverted (or retracted) and starkly devoted to practicality...each characteristic reinforcing the other. Yes, such social disparity can lead into susceptibility to whispers courtesy of the Warp, buzzing in the battle brothers' ears.
Technocratic tin can titans-to-come. This was a great intro to another, separate Legion, and fascinating to hear Narration of their pre-Primarch history. As usual, the differences in Legion-era battle armours compared with the 41st millenium are neat to look at. You've got my gratitude again, GDN, as your grimdark gears grind ever on to your next episode; I anticipate it, like always. 'Til next week: be well, have an awesome weekend - the Emperor protects.
Iron Within, Iron Without
The Iron Warriors were some of the best soldiers within the Imperium as they were able to fight in many sieges all across the Galaxy, and while many of the Imperium didn’t value them there is no doubt that the Emperor did as he send them in every difficult battle.
An iron warrior song
Like a storm we were Harold into blood and steel
With thunder we strike like steel
With cohesion and resolve
All you loyalist scum will feel the bite Of are steel
With iron and blood we stand like an anvil
as a hammer they split in our unholy might of retribution
With blood and sweat we hold our oath's to stand like thunder
So prepare for our metal resolve
Like the Metal Smith's old
We were crafted with Steele vengeance
And now we bring down the hammer fall through the emperor's face
And with our disgrace there is no space that has not felt are disgraceful fall
And now like steel will never bent through the imperials resolve
I'm painting my Heresy Era Iron Warriors while listening to this
That the reliable and helpful legion fell in the esteem of The Great Crusade honestly shows that the wheels were coming off even then. Egotism over duty and comradery was already poisoning the Emperor's work, and he was blind to it even then.
Finally he gets to my faction. Long live the lord of iron. Iron without iron with.
The Iron Warriors are like the Dark Angels, where they got sent to break the most difficult enemies and positions. They just got no praise for it and it made a wedge between them and other Legions sadly. The Emperor for sure appreciated them.
great video man no surpise there .
This guy ladies and Gentleman...
This grim dark guy and his 65 percent of iron democracy...
You think you're safe behind those walls cousins...lol
*not sure why that posted twice*
Oh well... Pausing The End and The Death for a bit of GDN.
I'm still at the book with the Khan.
These poor guys suffered so much :(
It's not a wonder they were so angry; hard working, and getting no credit or any appreciation. As much as they became real bad guys, originally, they were real tough guys.
Almost like jobs of today :D
The Corpse Grinders
The Emperor was honestly pretty incompetent. He didn’t realize that troops have morale and when you let morale tank, your troops turn on you.
(Btw, in the description it says white scars ;) not iron warriors)
Thanks for pointing that out. Should be fixed now.
They would have been a masterpiece of a legion had they remained loyal...such a waste.
1st to 1st, 2nd to like, 1st to watch
