Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! and Pokémon: Let's Go, Eevee! are upcoming role-playing video games (RPGs) developed by Game Freak and published by The Pokémon Company and Nintendo for the Nintendo Switch. The games are the first installments of the Pokémon RPG series for the Nintendo Switch. They are enhanced remakes of the 1998 Game Boy video game Pokémon Yellow. They will also contain influences from Pokémon Go, as well as integration with Go, and will support a new optional controller called the Poké Ball Plus. The games are scheduled to be released worldwide on November 16, 2018
Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! and Let's Go, Eevee! are set in the Kanto region and will include the original 151 Pokémon creatures in addition to their respective Mega Evolved and Alolan forms from Pokémon X and Y & Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, and Sun and Moon. Let's Go, Pikachu! and Let's Go, Eevee! will feature common elements of the series, such as battling non-player character Pokémon Trainers and Gym Leaders with caught Pokémon creatures. However, instead of battling them like the traditional battle system of other major Pokémon role-playing games (RPGs), the catching of Pokémon creatures uses a different mechanic that is based on the mobile spin-off game Pokémon Go where players throw Poké Balls at a wild Pokémon by using the motion controls of the Joy-Con controller. - Hry

Pro Tip (imo) When combo catching certain pokemon learn what their MAX CP (in the wild) is while having a lure going and focus on catching that same pokemon with max wild cp. Example when comboing Bulbasuars in Viridian Forest the max wild cp is 40cp, so the trick is to combo chain Bulbasuars 40cp over and over and your chance of a perfect or near perfect IV will be higher then normal.
I really enjoyed this video since it was a double whammy. Candies + all 3 Master Trainers for it.
I'd love to see more like this, taking on the Master Trainers.
Honestly wouldn’t worry about candies until after hyper training a Pokémon. Does anyone remember how bad Onix was out the gate of Gen 1? Just asking because a lot of those Pokémon get that treatment in the newer games.
A super cool fact is every hidden item in the game respawns
Eve moonstones?
Nvm
@@aidanthomson5336 yes even moonstones
Hidden item locations respawns items, yet which has what is randomized correctly.
master ball time
I don't even comment , but the amount of effort put to this video is huge. Good job. Really good.

Hey Austin, take your shiny Nidoran and go to the daycare, talk to Mr Hyper and Hyper train your Nidoran so you have Perfect IV. if you go to the casino you can find a gold bottle cap for that. that combined with Nidoran candies will make him perfect shiny Nidoran.
Oh right, one more thing, you need to be lvl 100
He doesn't need perfect Sp. Atk as a physical attacker. What he needs is a better nature unfortunately
@@Aeronautiqul Acctually, within the core games and the metagame that exist there, thanks to its ability Sheer Force, Nidoking benefits more from a special moveset with a Timid or Modest nature. Only recently found this channel, great stuff man!
Thank you Austin John, I started the game yesterday and finally after a chain of 331 Nidoran Male, I got a shiny (the 332nd)!
I played straight for 12 hours and then it comes! Great feeling!
Currently farming them on route 22, catch combo of 191 right now. I really hope I don’t have to get to 300 before I see a shiny
Yo Austin, Been enjoying your videos :D
Honestly surprised how much levels actually matters against their pokemon. Good to know!
keep up the great work austin!
The shade in the beggining lol. Thank you for making great content Austin! :D
Nice video, man! Thanks for the info! Congrats, the content is awesome. Keep it up!
i see that glitch reference at the end their, good stuff. also just found your videos liked what i saw and subscribed, keep up the great work.
Loved the little easter egg in the finale of the video :') Good old days of glitches
Loving the uploads
I like the videos, man! They really help me out and entertain me. You get a like for the Nidokings
Thank you for the entertaining video, and Happy Thanksgiving!
Love your vids! Thanks for helping us out!
Thanks for sharing the video! I love how you used a shiny Nidoran!
Austin video, awesome John.
Thank you for this information and video. I'm using your advice and it works wonders. I caught my first shiny today (shiny nidoran male) and am going for the large amount of nidoran candies while hunting for even more shiny nidoran 😁
So many informative videos!
Love your work bro keep it up!
loving your videos on this game I recently picked up let's go eevee and been having a blast with it which is surprising I thought the game was going to be horrible but it is really fun can't for the new main series game
Awesome video!! I learnt something
Austin John your the man dude! Thanks!
Hey AJ! Love your vids. You mentioned Asbury Park!? I live there! haha
Thanks Istin Jahn!!
Happy Thanksgiving Austin John
Thanks @austinjohn this is a big help
Currently trying the same thing woth my Pontya. It's EVs are pretty amazing, so i've been chain hunting and feeding it a ton of candies. So far it's so much faster than a standard Ponyta, and is even faster than my Rapidash which has good EVs too
My main man Austin keep it up man your the best
The level difference makes a difference in attacks because your level is input into a formula that the game has to calculate in order to register the amount of damage done to the opposing pokemon
Happy thanksgiving Austin John.
0:42 oh man how many comments did you get for saying NYDOKINGS lol love your channel bro keep up the great work you do
I enjoyed your video. Also I wanted to say that I did a 35 combo and counting of pikachu and caught one with almost perfect Iv’s. I had 5 beats and 1 fantastic.
A perfect pikachu you can put in home
Love this game! Loaded it up today and forgot I had a shiny mewtwo, me and my daughter were playing and got it only around 40 soft resets, our reaction was priceless lol
I wonder how this work once it’s transferred to Pokemon Home. This is why I never got into the bottle caps in the core series.
The stats you raised with candies reset so....never transfer it
Amazing videos man! But one thing I cant figure out is how do you get so many balls to catch all those pokemon? They're expensive is there like a certain farming method I dont know about?
Really makes you op and able to breeze through the game if you put the grind effort into it. And yet it's still very nice this feature is there.
Saw that coming, level is used to calc. damage for the pokemon series. great video , candies are broken AF
Always helpfull man
You are truly the goat of Pokémon
Actually a decent Pokétuber. Great video and 0% cringe
Hey you are one of my fav Pokemon people and in general you the best
Great video Austin, can you make a video on how to chain/farm for a certain Pokémon?
If you put a lure down and chain any pokemon the rare pokemon will spawn, so if you know where to find them just start a chain.
you helped me get a 5 perfect iv piddgy. working on shiny, getting hopefully soon to a shiny 6 iv
What did I learn? No need to train in sports, just take the candys ^^
Im from brazil and i love your vídeos
I can barely get a chain of 10 lol
Git gud
Thow the first ball, then flee if it doesn't stay in, doesn't break the chain and makes it less likely the Pokémon will flee and break it
Samantha Paulus WAIT WHAT?? You can run without breaking a chain?? I thought if either of you ran it’d break
@@ADAMFAC3 You cant battle another type or shut your game off, but yes you can run away
@@ADAMFAC3 The chain breaks only if the pokemon escapes from you not when you run away from them.
Hey dude, there is also a moonstone in the mimics closet in saffron city
Dude thank you for saying Nidoran properly finally lol got me dying every time I watched lol
1:43 Sheer Force Nidoking would like to have a word with you.
(I know abilities aren't a thing in these games)
Hey austin John! I have something I would like you to research about let's go- does pokerus exist in this game by chance?? I would love to find out either way!!
Is it Just me or is Austin John Amazing
I don't even own a switch yet but i'll be darned if i don't stuff my face with all the information you putting out about Pokemon.
I really appreciate the level 100 before brock comment, because he is referring to a glitch in red blu and yellow that allows you to get a level 100 nidoking before brock
So if you can only feed your pokemon 200 of its specific species candy if you hive it a health or mighty candy dies that lower the ammount of species candys you can give it?
Proud of you for learning how to say Nidoking! You are the best!
Curious to see how big your chain combo was at. I started release day and am still only in the viridian forest only catching pidgey with a chain of 267 and still no shiny pidgey. although my game says i have an update and that will wreck my chain but i think it is shiny locking me
Jelly over Big blue, been dieing to get a Nidoran Male lately. Still early-ish on in game.
What walkthrough are you using to display items and Pokémon on routes?
Nice glitch reference at the end.
You should make a vid on how to farm candy! :)
@austinjohnplays Big fan of your pkmn visa. I have a Pokémon Let's Go Tip for you! I think you can make a video of it! I just discovered while combo catching. While chaining Meowth, I also saw many squirtles, charizards, and dragonites. I noticed a correlation between thier CP and thier IVS!!! The higher the CP, the closer to perfect IVs they had! If true you could engage and CP peek all these other Pokemon then flee without breaking your combo! Wait for the max CP (for that level). The squirtles and Meowths all are at lvl 15 Right beyond nugget bridge. You should try it yourself then you can catch that perfect IV pkmn without chaining it, but chaining an easy one in the same area. Rather than waiting for those rarer ones to show up and catching low IV rares
Was trying to chain gastly. Three times, when I had a chain over 30 going, it ran after I missed one throw
Could you combo catching a bunch of pikachu or evee depending on which game you got and use the candy on your starter?
I've been candy training my team for days. Started with Nidoran male as well. Then went on to do eevee, Mewtwo, Mew, Charizard, A. Ninetales, and Gyarados. Mewtwo is just sickeningly powerful after 200 of each stat candies.
Isn’t it surprising there isn’t a tm video yet?
So is this how you made that Metapod video possible when you were almost 30 levels underleveled?
“Hope that didn’t sound to clickbait-ie”
Me: god what a wholesome person 😭
I gotta agree,i kinda dig the new candy system
Good job Austin, you can say Nidoking correctly! You're vewy smart boii
I think ivs dont really matter that much because you can raise thr stats with candy so just catching a shiny and givibg it max candy is enough
Awesome!
Do the Metapod one. That one was hell.
It's hyper training on steroids.
Hi. I'm now a follower to your channel. Can you please tell me where did you find your level 5 Nidoran?
On the way to MT moon from pewter
Dam bro you a really big help 👍
So I have a little question. Does the Pokemon that has perfect stats to start with, then Improve abouve the edges? Or is it just for the sake of not having to spend a lot of Candies?
You win!! Flawless victory!! Quaketality!!
5:16 Who has diabetes? Only Austin John....😆
What music do you use? I love it👌
Damn so many candies. How long was your combo?
Woo candy grinding. 300 candies to max out. This is why Competitive is done on simulators and hacked with action replay.
Can’t wait to get this game 4 Christmas
I’ve tried searching online, and on this thread, but I seem to be encountering an issue with this tactic that is not being acknowledged. I started a new game, got my starter, returned the parcel to Oak, battled the rival, went to Nidoran territory, fought rival again, and went to start the combo chain.
I got to the 50th combo, with primarily excellent throws, and did not receive a single Nidoran candy, or any L/XL candies. I also noticed that none of the Nidoran were huge/tiny.
I have a hunch then that this can not be done right out the gate. Though my question would be when do you think that this would start to work? I’m considering skipping this tactic until I have the Judge IV Checker anyways at this point. But Austin does say you could do this before even fighting Brock... so do you think you have to go through Viridian Forest first or what do you think? I believe Viridian Forest is when you start seeing Tiny/Huge variants, if memory serves.
Is 200 species specific candies the max you can use on a Pokémon and I imagine when said Pokémon evolves it evolves with loaded stats?
So if you have shiny with kinda meh stats would candy training it make it on par with a perfect iv that is also candy trained?
thanks dude i was tying to get a shiny male nidoran in the beggining of the game but it was too hard with no lures but i got 269 nidoran candies, now i know what to do with them
Please can you do the experiment of having the exact same stats, level, pokemon and nature where one is fed normal and the other fed with only its specific candy I don't know if I did something wrong with my chansey where it's stats are white and are off the screen on its health peak/spike my mewtwo also has the same problem.. I know I haven't finished the candies but both of them have amazing potential for competitive use just dont know if I am doing the training correctly ... which is a shame if I damaged their full potential in competitive play ...
Really nice work getting that 5IV Naughty Shiny Nidoran ♂ !!!;D
I want to say that the AVs in No Restrictions pass through, but they don't pass through if you have Restrictions. I feel AVs will just be a fun way to Battle people casually, but not good for competitive and when it comes to no AVs in Restricted Ruleset, every Pokémon feels dumbed down and weaker without EVs (Effort Values) being in the game.
This game is going to be fun but this time around I could care less about Nature's!^.^
I did that with a Oddish at the very beginning, Route 1 and Virdian forest. And I had a chain of 63 Oddishes and I ended with 230 Smart Candies and around 60 Smart Candies L. Totally worth the hunting! My Pokémon got super overpowered at the beginning. And my Vileplume is OP
Conclusion: Just make catch combos and level it up😃
So. Could you do a TM location video or a video where all the riding moves are at? I just got gyarados and I can’t ride him yet.
There are only 2
back in rby you could get a lvl 100 nidoking before brock using the trainer fly glitch
Sorry if it's a stupid question but does it matter when i give the Pokémon their Candy's ? Like should i wait untill a certain level or do it directly at catching level. Does it matter when he is level 100 and then i start with candy or is it too late then. Thanks in advance
