Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! and Pokémon: Let's Go, Eevee! are upcoming role-playing video games (RPGs) developed by Game Freak and published by The Pokémon Company and Nintendo for the Nintendo Switch. The games are the first installments of the Pokémon RPG series for the Nintendo Switch. They are enhanced remakes of the 1998 Game Boy video game Pokémon Yellow. They will also contain influences from Pokémon Go, as well as integration with Go, and will support a new optional controller called the Poké Ball Plus. The games are scheduled to be released worldwide on November 16, 2018
Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! and Let's Go, Eevee! are set in the Kanto region and will include the original 151 Pokémon creatures in addition to their respective Mega Evolved and Alolan forms from Pokémon X and Y & Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, and Sun and Moon. Let's Go, Pikachu! and Let's Go, Eevee! will feature common elements of the series, such as battling non-player character Pokémon Trainers and Gym Leaders with caught Pokémon creatures. However, instead of battling them like the traditional battle system of other major Pokémon role-playing games (RPGs), the catching of Pokémon creatures uses a different mechanic that is based on the mobile spin-off game Pokémon Go where players throw Poké Balls at a wild Pokémon by using the motion controls of the Joy-Con controller. - Hry

Might want to add this to the update:
You can flee from your target and you will NOT break the chain. I've ran from many a wild Vulpix in my hunt and still have a 38-combo. As long as it doesn't do the running (read: You throw a ball, it misses, then it flees), you can flee as much as you want and still keep your combo.

You can go finish your homework,
graduate from high school,
graduate from college,
work a few years at a part time job,
get your dream career,
meet someone you like,
date them for a year or so,
propose to them,
spend several months planning the wedding,
get married,
have a kid,
buy a house,
have another kid,
watch them graduate high school,

spend time with your grandkids,
wait until you're about to die of old age after an incredible life,
get your old switch out of sleep mode one last time,
come back,
catch a Caterpie...

I have found that you can actually run and it does not break your combo. Also if you look in the Pokédex, the animations you can play will correspond to when a Pokemon is going to flee. So with growlithe (one I am hunting) it has 2 animations. The first is the normal one, the second is the one it does just before it flees. When that animation plays you can run away and it won’t break the combo. Saved my combo resetting so many times!

@@gyarados232 yes, and by notifying us that if you know what animation the pokemon is making prior to that pokemon fleeing, then you can runway from the pokemon first and not lose the combo

My first shiny chain I was trying for a shiny caterpie in Viridian Forest. Got to about 65, and suddenly shiny bulbasaur appeared. I couldn't resist. As soon I caught it, shiny pikachu appeared, so I grabbed that too. Then shiny metapod appeared. Got three shinies in a row of different pokemon.
My guess is there must be some sort of threshold shortly after breaking the combo where shinies and pokemon will still be lured. I have no idea how else that could've happened other than extreme luck.

This is the perfect shiny hunting tutorial. :) I catch combo-ed around 50 Caterpies and found myself a Shiny Weedle! Now I can get Shiny Mega Beedrill. Your videos are amazing.
So I just picked up Let's Go for the first time (thanks to watching your videos) and minutes into the game the only thing I've been doing is catching Oddish and on my 43rd one (literally haven't caught anything else) I got a shiny Oddish! Great way to start a game!

Man, the shiny Oddish luck! I thought that the shiny odds in this game must be really good, because my 5th or 6th pokemon was a full odds shiny Oddish. Just that one, and then a shiny Rattata not too long after, and then never another shiny again, even after chaining 100+ Pidgeys! Crazy!
Abra must be so hard because of how likely it is to run
Just use a master ball duh
You have to sneak up on it from behind, if it sees you approaching it, it will teleport
When your chaining abra it cant use moves that it would usually use therefore it couldn’t use teleport and it’s much much easier to chain
You only have for it to run if he gets in the ball
I will say it is relatively easy. But shiny hunting Abra is the most stress-inducing thing I've ever done lol.

because that info is worng, you only get 4 ivs after 31 chain, you can get a perfect pokemon with bottle caps

I started my chain in Route 6 (north of Vermillion [broke chain for a shiny Seaking]) and after I got back to 31 I went to Route 19/20. Took me like 2/3 hours and 118 was the final chain number.

Thanks Austin. Because of this I was able to catch my first shiny: Shiny Caterpie. I caught it on the first try. 27 Catch Combo before that shiny Caterpie. I didn't need 31 catch combos.

Do the shiny Pokémon show up in the world or only during battle can you tell?
They are shiny colored with stars, you can tell before you go into catching them, except the event Pokémon. (Legendaries and snorlaxs)

Love your videos they are jst so helpful. I just got a shiny caterpie. Although its not the shiny I was going for. I was going for pikachu but I'll take what I can get. So far I had a catch combo of mid 80s before the shiny showed up.
For the love of God can this be how the main games do shiny hunting ! With the same rules in place! They finally understand how much of a pain shiny hunting is!!
And I really hope they keep it that way, a shiny pokémon must stay as something really special to get, not something everyone and their mothers can get by mere luck

Shiny hunting should have low odds, sure, but it should be as fun and un-painful as possible for the people who are dedicating time to it.
Otherwise, the temptation to soft-mod or powersave to get your Pokemon shiny will outweigh the "bullshit annoying grind to get one" and illegitimate pokemon will continue to become more common.

@@nerdycurls6253 yup but in this game it will be extremely easy since their are only 150 pokemon compared to like gen 6 or 7 where there are like 800ish. Also, with online trading it will be extremely easy to trade the version exclusives. plus you can transfer from pokemon go.
Yup that is exactly how I plan on doing it. I play Pokemon Go so it won't be hard what so ever to complete the dex. Then once I get all 150 Pokemon i'll buy the shiny charm and go ham with looking for shinies lol..
Only hard one to get is Mew. 40 bucks for him.

Hi there! I have a question here. Would you do the same method of "soft-resetting" to hunt for IV's on the legendary birds or is that completely impossible? I'm kind of curious if it's possible to have a perfect IV legendary, since Mew is totally random and there is nothing you can do about it...
