One Of My Best Long Range FPV Flights So Far

- Some of the best FPV footage I've posted in a while. Flying this location is rather intimidating to begin with and then I hit a tree 100ft after take off. It was a rough start for my first time flying here, but I had my mind set on doing this. So I quickly swapped out the props and battery and got back up in the air while the light was still good.

Absolutely loved it. I've always been obsessed with mountain diving videos but you're the one that really got me into the science behind long range FPV. Love the way you show not only your flight footage but breakdown your set up and thought processes as well. Please please keep it up, my dude.
Awesome! Thank you!
Such a joy to watch you flight over these rocky moutain landscapes. We don't have anything like it here. Kind regards from Brazil!
This region is so gorgeous, almost like another planet. Exceptionally flying, particularly the mountain surfing and dives. The roads below give a hint to the scale of these mountains. The valley up top is calling out to be explored, but is a definite death trap. Navigating this complex terrain seems it would be very challenging. Obviously you were will prepared with a plan of attack, thus were well rewarded!
Thanks for the great comment!
Gorgeous video, the whole package, music and everything, I wish I lived near mountains like that
Stunning flight and footage, dude! 😃
What a heck of a place!!!
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Thanks, you too! 👋😃
Fantastic, amazing views, great music. Best regards. 👍
I love your flights, this is why I got into drones. Not so many mountains near me but I plan to go to Snowdonia in Wales UK this summer.
Oh great, I hope your trip goes well, good luck!
oldguyFPV; What can I say? You da man!
Love the music! What an amazing spot too. So expansive!
Thanks buddy!
Awesome! I'm watching the HD and thinking "he made it back.." LOL. I haven't taken mine out this year yet but this sure motivates me!
Go for it!
Great stuff man enjoy watching your lr flights!
What a beautiful site! Thanks for sharing. Well done!
Many thanks!
Wow gorgeous! I did notice the tree clearing spots but it does look like they plant more when they are done. Thanks FalconRad!
Wow wow wow and wow again
That was Falcon sick dude. Thanks for sharing, makes me want to get back out there again.
Ya we have to do that again!

Gorgeous! I just built my first 7'' Long Range to specc after watching Visma and your channel. I can't wait to surf some mountains!
Hope you enjoy it!
Love this, Conrad! What amazing vistas, and your long range always leaves me awestruck and slightly jealous! 😂🙌❤

I just got done building ur rad li-ion frame im in absolute love with it just waiting on battery's ....I'm getting 7 mins on 1300mah 6s lipos for now on the 1750kv 2806.5 .....can't wait to be hitting mountains like this ....your mad man🔥🔥🤘
Thank you, and thanks for your interest in the frame. Good luck with your long range flights when you get those batteries.
@@FalconRadFPV I'm picking up the auline 45a li-ion 6s and running them parallel hopefully they will be worth the flight times ...thanks again!
@@taytayfpvI get around 20 mins on my 5 inch with a Zohd 5000mah 4S 21700 pack. They’re not much bigger than a 1500mah 4S Lipo. Not sure how they match up against the batteries you mentioned, but definitely a good option, they have 6s as well I believe.
@@John_Doe_6996I'll have to check them out forsure! Thanks for the recommendation I run 6s now... I use to fly 4s but after flying freestyle 6s for awhile it's ruined me 😂
very beautiful, man 🤩
Thank you 🙌
Wow. Another fantastic video. Absolutely brilliant flying and filming. Was this recent? Are you having an unusually mild winter? I was expecting a lot more snow. Two days ago I thought I lost my 7" craft the OX7. It went down about a mile from home in a vast, flat, grassy area. Finally found it after dark using the flashing beacon on the VIFLY Finder 2. Only real damage was the 6s 4000mAh Li-ion 21700 pack from Auline. Still not sure what caused the crash but it could have been so much worse. Thanks again for the ride. Happy flying amigo. 🍻
It's footage from my trip over the summer last year. I've got LOTS of really good stuff to post still.
Yeah. Those are some epic adventures. Thanks for sharing.
Do you ever sell your shots to like, National Geographic or anything? Absolutely beautiful bro!
Thank you! (unfortunately they won't be interested in GoPro footage, needs to be a cine camera.)
Head tracking would be nice In a few spots (esp starting at 2:52) because sometimes it would be nice to look down a little. Have you ever entertained the idea? Yes I know I probably mentioned this before :)
Haven't thought about trying that, interesting idea!
Wow 🤩. Another breathtaking video. Phantastic flight, color grading and music 👏👏.
I’m flying analog as well - may I ask you which goggles and which receiver (in the goggles) you use ? I couldn’t find it in your description.
Thanks in advance and best greetings from Germany ✊✊
Thanks very much! This was flown with analog, so orqa fpv goggles (the original ones) with an immersion RC rapidfire module.
Thanks so much FalconRad for taking the time to respond 👍! Very helpful for me ! I‘m thinking about a purchase of the new Skyzone O4X Pro goggles. They use the 5.8Ghz V3.3 Steadyview receiver. I‘m not sure (concerning long range) if it can compete with the rapid fire module. Any further experience/advice from your side ? Best greetings 😎👋👋
Beautifull.. like it..! 😍👍🔥🔥🔥
Thank you! Cheers!
Amazing flight 😮, absolutely gorgeous! How many quads have you lost in the mountains?
so far, two. Not bad considering I've done hundreds of long range flights now.
@FalconRadFPV that's impressive! I do remember watching one of your videos where you weren't paying attention to your battery voltage and didn't make it back.
Keren sekali long range pake drone Analog sungguh mengesan kan kawan❤
Another great video from the man who got me wanting to do long range FPV!!
Hey man quick question, I was wondering what module you recommend to use with my Orqa goggles? They will be used with my fixed wing and my 7'' Rekon quad. Any help would be greatly appreciated, THANKS!!
Honestly I've only ever used the rapidfire module. My earlier analog goggles were all cheap built in video receivers. I've had no complaints about the rapidfire though, it's worked perfect for me, for years now.
👏👏👏
Did you rip up that glacier on the opposite side of the valley that you can see on your way back?
You bet I did, it's some of the best footage I've got coming!
Awesome. Do you see any beenfit in 10"? I don't understand the current hype...
It's just hype to sell more stuff. A 10" can go a bit faster at reasonable amp draw but the flight time is basically the same as a 7". The vibrations are going to be a lower frequency on a 10" which is not desirable for gopro footage. Although I have seen good clean footage from a 10" for sure.
Indonesia ikut nyimak 👍
What were the max altitude, distance from home, distance flown, average speed and amp draw etc? Ive built a 7inch as well and run 2 liion 6s as well haha
rough guess from memory, it was about 15 or 16 km total, I think I use 6s2p 18650's so 5600mAh total at 6s voltage. Avg speed around 50 to 60 kph, amp draw at 50 to 60 kph is around 15 amps.
Was this flown recently? Almost no snow.
It's footage from my long range road trip last summer. I have lots of great footage to get posted still!
little glitch and u go hiking 😜
very long hiking
haha, I might just leave it up there.
Ever thought of recording 360 degrees for VR? I want to *be* there.
haha, this in VR would be cool.
THIS! I want to watch it on my Quest 3. Can't affor a trip over the big pond
This was footage of just ONE flight??
That's right.
Et bonjour à madame 👍
Beautiful
Sweet dives! I wish Ontario wasnt so damned flat LOL
