If teachers or school staff would've intervened at that point and got him some physiological help maybe we wouldn't have had such a tragedy happen. Not saying he isn't at fault or justifying what he did in any way I despise him for such a cruel at one innocent children but the harsh reality of it is this could've all been avoided and it wasn't because people chose to stand by and do nothing while he carried on with that behavior

There was a study done many years ago about men in prison. The number one reason they found young men in prison for committing brutal heinous crimes was because they were "rejected by their mothers" and the mothers took boyfriends and spent time with them neglecting their own son. The damage to the psyche, the pain of rejection by a parent to a little boy is damaging and can create sociopaths.

To be honest I really don’t have any idea of the whole liberal versus Conservative thing because I’m not American or remotely political . I only ever talk from straightforward common sense. In Aus, guns were a huge part of our culture, still is in some places, and certain guns can still be purchased for hunting ( like mine ).To get a gun licence in Aus you just have to meet specific criteria, such as not having a history of domestic violence, criminal offences, mental health issues, obvious exclusions like that. However, apart from that we as a nation have kind of decided we dont want them to be mainstream ….So the types of guns that can be purchased are therefore pretty limited. No automatics/semi automatics, I think pump actions may be banned also... Armour piercing rounds are out etc. If any American thinks they need bullets designed to take out a tank in a gun that can shoot 50 rounds in seconds to hunt a deer, then should you probably be trying to learn to be a better shot…??!!

And any authoritative or adult figure that should have been guiding him or protecting him completely ignored him. This falls on the mother, teachers at school, the school counselor, and the police that frequently visited his broken dysfunctional family home. Not to mention his family and his friends who were aware of his disposition and either never stood up for him, or never reached out for someone else to help him. He turned into a monster because the world alienated him and put him down over and over again since he was a child. What he did has no justification, but what was done to him has no justification as well. As a society we pretty much failed to protect those kids. Including Ramos.
