Is there any way we could work out how to get this in Australia 😩😩

@@royalcoatspowdercoating will do 👌🏻
Are there various nozzle sizes that is included in this mini kit.
@@davidwakerman yes there are different size deflectors for the conical nozzle included
Great job and always remember saftey is first you always have to wear a mask.
Ordering my kit now. Excited to see what kind of results I can get out of it. I was going to buy a kool koat kit but this seems pretty good especially with the 1 year warranty. Thanks for throwing something new out there in the community.
Awesome! Thanks for the support 👍🏼
Awesome video, thanx for taking the time. 👍
Just bought two of these. I recently got into powder coating with an Eastwood DV. The mod kit you sell for it is working so well I already know these are going to be a great addition to my shop. So glad to have found your channel! You're adding so much value to the powder coating community, making better quality results more accessible to people like me who aspire to become professional powder coaters :) Thanks!!!
Really glad I’m helping make a difference. Good to know all this time and money put into these videos isn’t a waste lol best of luck to you and your coating adventures!
Just found your channel…. I will be moving to the UK soon, hoping to purchase one or 2 of these once get settled there
Really love your videos and explanations on powder coating. Thank you for putting all the effort into educating powder coating community members. Question for you, can the RC1 system be adapted to other hopper or fluidizer products like the Prismatic Powders SE101 for larger capacity applications? Thanks
Thank you for watching! You can use it on anything that excepts a 1/4" air line and a 1/2" ID powder hose. As for fluidized kegs you will need to adapt extra regulators and so forth.
Really enjoy your videos. Thanks for taking the time to get this info out there. I'm a hobbyist at this point and am currently using the craftsman powder coat system that is all electric (fans blow the powder opposed to compressed air). My question is could I use this gun shown to do small jobs as a small side business ( from a feature and parts longevity stand point)? Can a oil bath compressor with a oil and water trap run this gun or is a oil free compressor or addition air filtration needed for these guns and other high end systems?
Thanks for watching! I would feel comfortable using this for a small side business and selling this work that it is turning out. The black spring with sparkle and plate with the rod were actually two separate paid jobs. And both turned out great. My compressor is oil lubricated. When I started I had a simple oil and water separator but I have upgraded my air system since then.
Awesome video thanks 👍😳
Great video
An otger Nice video men..looks better than eastwood gun ...but love my Gema :-))
What air pressure are you running on this powder coat system and what is the brass crew on the top of the cup
thanks
Great video! I’m thinking ordering one and am wondering if this gun able to perform well on 3 stage coats?
Yes you will be able to lay three coats down. I suggest installing a dedicated ground rod for you spray area 👍🏼
I have done all the upgrades to my duel voltage Eastwood with the tips that you offer I’ve even done the hopper upgrade. I’m not sure on how long I’m not sure how long the tubes that go down in the hopper. This gun that you’re offering will it work better than my Eastwood with all the upgrades. I’m definitely considering ordering one of these as well.
You will need to do testing to see what works best for your containers.
This new system seems to be many steps ahead of the dual voltage in how it performs on single and multi stage coatings. It’s definitely a lot easier to coat with than the dual voltage.
@@royalcoatspowdercoating when is the latest I can order one?
@@robertgregory1191 presale price ends April 25th and orders will start shipping out in the order they were placed on April 30th
What powder did you use on the second coat of that spring? Looks real good I Like the flake
It’s bengal clear from tiger drylac. It’s over an illusion color from prismatic.
Did you make this gun?
Does using a hook leave a mark where it makes contact? Do you strip a hook after you powder coat, reuse it as it is, or do you use a new hook every time?
The hook will always leave a small mark where it was on the part.
Depending on how much coating gets on the hook you can use them 2-3 times. I strip mine in rim strip and re use them. You can also just blast the contact points of the hook if that’s your only option.
Would you say this gun is a step up over the Eastwood 2stage gun if I was starting out powder coating?
This is definitely a step or two above the Eastwood in my opinion. Multi coat applications are a lot easier with this system.
What KV are you spraying the the first coat and second coat with on these parts?
First coats were anywhere from 45-70kv and second coat was about 25kv
With small parts can I use a old stove for heat allso can aluminum be done
Yes you can use an old oven. And yes you can do aluminum.
How do you get coverage on the spot the hook is touching
I usually try to place the hook in a bolt hole that will be covered. Sometimes there’s not much you can do about it though.
Hie I got exactly that kit but seem the gun not working can't feel the positive charge it's juss silent even if you touch negative ...grounded cable why that
Please send me an email so we can diagnose your system. Royalpowdercoats@gmail.com
Hello, what is the solution for ionization ? Thanks
Some things to try would be to install a ground rod if not using one, gun to part distance for multiple coats should be 8+ inches away for the most part, and adjust your KV settings.
I just retired and can no longer drive and I am super interested in getting into powder coating. Would you be willing to help me out getting started? Thank you sir

How do I go about buying the gun from you if I live in Australia
You can purchase it on the website. International orders are required to pay for shipping.

Is there a trick to getting under the hook? Will there be a bare spot on that spring?
No that’s just part of it. There will always be a bare spot from the hook. I usually try to hang the part where a bolt will be to hide it.
@@royalcoatspowdercoating that's just the norm with pretty much any part I'm assuming correct? Even the most professional and state of the art shops?
@@MilesHolt yes the parts have be be hung from somewhere. You could always put a dab of paint over the hook mark if needed.
Are you building these, or having them made?
It sure seems to spit a lot of powder when shooting the clear, seemed to waste a lot.
Having them made. Adjusting the air pressure helps with that issue I was still messing with it for the first time. Same thing the Dual voltage system does but the powder sticks to the part 10x better. No issues with a second coat at all.
I did mess a little bit with adding a hopper to it temporarily and the cloud seemed to be spot on. I’ll be working on an adapter to be able to attach a hopper to the system.
@@royalcoatspowdercoating I don't see any parts or warranty info on your site. What will that consist of?
@@TheFlamingEyeball1 year warranty. Spare parts are not available for purchase at this time but will be available for warranty reasons. Feel free to email me at royalpowdercoats@gmail.com with questions
Late to the game, but is there a newer or more detailed review of this system? I'm wanting details on the supply, required compressor etc. The website is super vanilla with no real information on the unit and the long lust of options and what they are for.
I have several videos on the channel using the optional accessories in various ways, feel free to have a look. The system will run on just about any air compressor with a tank. I would recommend 2-3cfm + but more is always better if you plan to do the sandblasting. Feel free to reach out and email me at royalpowdercoats@gmail.com if there is anything else that I can help you with.
What is the best kv setting for a flat panel. Im getting orange peel bad 👎
45-50kv usually works pretty well
@@royalcoatspowdercoating thanks for the reply
How much is shipping to sweden?
Add the item to your cart on the website. Enter your shipping information and it should give you a shipping quote.
Have you done any testing with it using just the ground clip instead of a ground rod? I don't have a ground rod in my shed and doing multicoats with my Eastwood is always a challenge
I can do some testing and let you know. Is there a reason you don’t install a ground rod if you’re working out of a shed? They’re inexpensive and provide great grounding for you coating.
@@royalcoatspowdercoating yes om wondering this aswell. Its winter and the ground is frosen so cant install a ground rod tills like may
@@lillen9220 ahhh that makes sense. I don’t have that problem here in Texas lol. Shoot me an email and i will do some testing later and get back with you. Royalpowdercoats@gmail.com
Because I don't have a lot of room my set up is always changing, I don't have a big enough area to have a permanent powder coat set up yet. I'm hoping to change that this summer but I live in northern Canada and we're still dealing with freezing temps and like 8 feet of snow
@@lucascompton1351 Understood! You can also place one in the ground when it thaws out and run a long wire with a clip to wherever your spray area might be. Mine probably has about 25-30 feet of copper wire from my ground rod to my booth just to give you an idea. But I will do some testing this evening. Shoot me over an email and I will get back to you with the results and video royalpowdercoats@gmail.com
How does it compare to your Columbia coatings back up gun when spraying
Seems to work the same or better in my opinion. Solid tones were never a real big issue with my hyper smooth but multi coats were possible but never easy.

Free shipping in the US.
