How did you remount your fuel filter after installing the new valve cover?
haha got mine coming. not really looking forward to the work. good thing my son does most of it. i get worn out watching him on that motor. A dad's work is never done. He knows its his later on or if I get fried on a primary lol
Now that I'm on the right video 😂 maybe I'll just be holding onto my covers until I have to tear everything down again to install mine unless I make a trip up and have help 🤣.

It's beautiful nice job. Have a question l got a 2006 duramax and just had headgaskets done. And now the uppers valve cover gaskets are leaking. So was going to try to do it myself and would like to know. How many foot pounds should I torque them?

With the upper valve cover off, would you say it is a perfect time to adjust the valves, or does the lower valve cover need to come off as well to do the valve adjustments?

Nicely done! I like this channel too! You've spent so much time with the duramax and Chevy GM trucks I'm starting to think Gale Banks should collaborate with you.... or you with him since he is kind of a pioneer with diesel trucks... just a thought... I would love it if you would research some of Gale banks' killing a duramax videos if you haven't already. Maybe think about what you would like to discuss. He is very much a scientist / engineer so he could very well lose you with his data collection. he may have to barney it down for some of us that don't have the background he has gained over his decades of experience.

I have a 2011 lml and has an extended crank. What do you think it might be? I already had the whole fuel system replaced but I still have that crank.
