Thank you - really useful
Thank you, very helpful.
Thank you very much, all the questions I had were answered
Thanks for video!
Thanks for sharing!
very helpful
in the manual, it says that the connection is done from the remote to the Googles, then the Googles to the aircraft, so there are two connecting steps
Solid! Saved a lot of time for me. 😂
It’s amazing how barely anyone even touches on this as if it’s assumed to just be known.
@@AtortAerials You're supposed to actually watch the tutorial videos that DJI gives you for each product. You shouldn't rely on CZcamsrs to show you what they learned from those videos lol he's just remaking the exact same content, which no hate to him, I respect the hustle, but just watch DJI's videos. They're super clear.
Thank you 🙏🏽 ❤
Well done my friend !
Many thanks!!
Thanks
There are 2 hex nuts around back of the controller grip. For me tightening the one Labelled F2 is what loosened up the Y axis behind the left stick gimbal.
F1 is resistance, how hard you need to push the stick to move it. Tighten for more tension. Loosen for less
Thanks for this comment. I was having a hell of a time until I saw your comment
Thank, this is super helpful. 👍👍
Nice Video Sean
Thanks 👍
Hi can you do a video on how to fly with controller and use manual mode thanks from Scotland
Anyone know if using mode 3 can you invert right stick please? So push forward descends and pull back ascends.
obrigado :)
Was wondering if I had to use the App to switch the pairing, turns out we don't. THanks !
hello, i set manual mode as in your tutorial but when im trying to switch between modes and set it to manual i got notification in googles "manual mode not available", why is that?
it come with ELSR?
Ive just got this controller is it best to learn the sport mode first for a good few hours before trying the M mode ?
Nope, as long as you yell “Leroyyyyyy Jennnnnnkinns!” before taking off you’ll be just fine starting in Manual mode
Sport mode does not prepare you for manual mode in any way. It is very different from flying a normal drone.
I really recommend a simulator. There are plenty of training wheels on the Avata 2, But even with those you could end up wrecking your drone/ wasting DJI cares. Just use a simulator TrypFPV and DRL sim both work with this controller I use them both with it
Just fly acro in a simulator first. The only crashes I've had with my avata 2 after 4 hours in the sim have been from me testing the limits of how this drone handles turns and such.
From what I understand, I can use my RC2 with the Avata 2. Does this mean that I can use both controllers (RC2 and Motion 3) simultaneously with my both my Mini 4 Pro and an Avata 2?
You cannot do that. RC2 will not work with the Avata 2
how can I check if the rc has the latest firmware?
Hey is it possible to do a distance test on the A2
The reason I sold my A1 was the distance sucked.
I've seen flyers in the US reach nearly 3 miles with no signal loss and only turned back due to battery limitations.
Do another DJI mini 3 pro with more features and details
Didn't work for me. You didn't show how to link the remote to the drone. Do I have to press something on the Avata2 drone?
Didn’t work for me either.
I have the Avata 1, but the fpv controller 2 isnt in stock since forever, in a future firmware update, will the FPV controller 3 be able to connect with the avata 1
The controller communicates with the goggles using bluetooth 5.0 and the the goggles communicate with the drone over O4. You can use it with an O4 system like the Air 3 and Mini 4 Pro but older drones using O3+ or lower is doubtful.
If you’re flying in manual mode with that attitude, limit disabled, and you get out of control if you hit the pause button, will it save you?
yes, it swaps back to attitude and altitude/position hold
Motors wont arm for some reason with controller 3. Works fine with motion controller. Tried updating, outside in open. Any idea?
i have the same problem, i was with dji service on chat trying a lot of things nothing worked. they say they are going to contact me with a solution.
In case anyone else runs into this.. Two things..
1. In N and S mode on RC3 you bring both sticks down and in toward each other to start/stop the motors (same as all other DJI drones with traditional controller). Yes it's odd that MC3 and RC3 work very differently but they always have.
2. For M mode, first need to enable it in the settings as the "Custom Mode" (defaults to Sport), make sure to relieve spring tension (F2 screw) and set stickiness (F1 screw) on the throttle axis, and then you can arm/disarm using double press of start/stop.
Random note.. Dunno abut others but my Avata 2 hates landing in M mode. It just spazzes out as soon as it touches the ground, so either get close to the ground and disarm to drop, or switch to N or S mode and it'll immediately start a soft landing with the throttle stick down.
is it backword compataible with Avata 1 and google 2?
no
Shouldn't you bind the RC and goggles first before the firmware update? How do they communicate during the FW update without being bound?
You plug into a PC and use the desktop app to update.
what fpv simulator works with Dji remote control 3?
I use Velocidrone with mine. FPV Skyline is free and also works I just didnt like it as much.
Stick mode 4 var mi?
Can any one advise me ? I have a DJI drone with old control you have to insert your phone into. Can I upgrade my controller so I can get the newer controller with the screen built in ?
Which drone do you have?
@@AirPhotography mavic air
@@ownyourworld No - totally different transmission system.
@@silverfox74 thanks
My RC won't go into pair mode. I power it on and then press and hold the power button and nothing happens. No beeps. Green lights just keep flashing. Any ideas?
I’m really not sure. Tell you the truth. I would contact DJI support and see what they suggest.
@AirPhotography thanks. It was a bad controller. Got a replacement and it works fine.
Thanks for the excellent video. Did the FPV RC 3 require updates?
it does
Hi
How to get out of begginer mode on my avata2?
In the settings menu
This confirmes thay the new remote controller 3 communicates with the drone VIA the goggles and not directly with the drone
The RC and MC use bluetooth 5.0 to communicate with the goggles. The goggles uses O4 to communicate with the drone. The Goggles are the main transmitter in the whole system. It's all in the user manual.
Is it possible to use the RC only without the goggles to fly the drone like flying in LOS?
Not possible
Hopefully the FPV3 and goggles 3 will work with other bind and fly drones once they get unlocked.
The FPV2 and goggles 2 generation can already do this. It would feel like a huge downgrade if they don't eventually get this capability.
@@brandon9689 the FPV 3 has no TX of its own, so you'll have to use the goggles 3 with it most likely.
Do the goggles have to be used?
Yes, they do. You could hover the drone around well not wearing goggles, but you won’t be able to see where you’re going. it’s not compatible with remotes with a screen
The goggles have to be used as the goggles communicate with the RC over bluetooth 5.0 and the drone via O4. However, you can place your goggles on your forehead and connect them to your phone via a cable or even wireless and hold your phone in your hand as the FOV which will show you exactly what the goggles see whilst holding the motion controller in the other and fly the Avata 2 in VLOS with a screen in hand. Handy when flying FPV may get you into trouble i.e. without a spotter
As long as the goggles are turned on, you can certainly fly the A2 line of sight without wearing them, just as with other aircraft.
It is generally not as fun, and not what fpv equipment is intended for.
You jumped past updating controller
he said it in the video.
Can you update the RC 3 via the headset?
total bs.
how so?
