Thats the plan :) What else should we do on a rainy, cold day...practicing in a sim🙃
Thank you so much for all the tips mate.
A much needed video no one else has done that I have seen. Plenty showing manual being used but none actually showing just how to use the sticks. Thank You
Wow! I never seen other CZcamsrs explaining this kind of thing, I really appreciate this video , it helps a lot of people to understand more how to fly a drone, hopefully other CZcamsrs can learn from you my brother, little steps like this can help a lot.
Most of the CZcamsrs make videos just to make money, not to teach others.
Thank you again!
thats what i need slow introduction to manual
Great Video BRO, you are the only one I've seen who truly explain the stick movement and what it does, never flown manual before but thinking of getting the avata2 to join my mini3 pro and Air3, need more rush
Thanks for this pt2. I'm staying on Liftoff for a good while longer. No rush for myself.
Great video with clear explanations on the differences between normal/sports mode and manual mode with attitude toggle on! This is very helpful for beginners who are interested in transitioning to full manual mode
Ok... this is BY FAR the best explanation I have seen of how these controls are applied in manual vs. normal. It all makes sense now. Thanks a bunch man!
Sir respect your teaching
Thank you Xavier...finally I clearly understood the drone movements under manual mode...thanks
Thanks! This is the best video I've seen explaining the differences and logic of manual control with the sticks. Simple, effective. Very helpful for a newbie.
This was actually super informative. Cheers!
Thanks!
Such clear and concise information. You have a natural talent for teaching Sir and instill confidence to take this to the next level. Thank you.
Thanks for sharing Xavier I’ve been following you for a while now, man 💯
Manual mode really is a different beast. I can't recommend a simulator enough. There are some really great ones for under $20.
Order the controller a few weeks before buying the package and spend 20 minutes a day in a sim. The tutorials are decent, but going into freestyle mode and following along with a learn to fly series on CZcams helped me learn much faster.
Thanks for posting.
Thank you for this excellent video! Super helpful!
Much appreciated, i lookforward for the next one!
Love your tutorials Xavier! I've been ripping around my yard in manual for a little less than a week.
I'm really looking forward to taking my A2 out to an actual wide open flight spot one day soon. But learning to manually keep things low and slow in my yard has been great training in the meantime.
Brilliant mate, very well explained watched and liked 👌
Everything I need... U have :) Thinking about Avata 2 and i was not sure about regular controller... Now i am much closer to buy it :) Thank, X!😊
Amazing! Gracias Javier!!
Nicely done, thank you.
Thanks for the valuable info!
one of the excellent video for beginners.. thank you sir
Thanks for your help, my controller will be here on Monday and I can start out in manual with your advice
So clear and useful man, thanks!
🙏
Thanks for this excellent tutorial 👍😊
Just ordered controller yesterday excited to practice on liftoff!
Great video. Thank for a tip for beginner.
Can’t wait to try this again.. you’re gonna get a lot of folks off the ground with these new tutorials on how to fly…thanks
In normal drones you control the drone movement/speed and its horizontal rotation relative to horizon, in manual drones you control the drone rotation around all axis relative to itself and the throttle
thank you.i am a cinematic drone owner from 2021 and planning to purchase the avata2..i thought the operation of the sticks to manual mode was everything the same😂thank you☺️
Good tutorial
Exellente explication merci l'ami
Amazing Video... Dont forget the stop bottom

Great explanation! Thanks for the great video! I wish DJI would allow adjusting the C2 levels in manual mode during flight. This feature could be useful when I suddenly want to fly slowly and quickly switch the gimbal to mid, or if I want to fly in reverse and switch the C2 to down. Hopefully, they will allow programming it to a specific position in the future.
Nice explanation..very much like flying rc helicopters & those are lots of fun too.😁👍
Thanks for the detail video explaining the stick movement. I now have a better idea of what I am doing when in manual. I actually did not know this - LOL
Good man, you explain it in manual mode very good. Please tell us more and more about how we control the manual mode in different angles and directions. We need more educational in this kind of tutorial of flying Avata 2 in manual mode.
thank you great explanation , however do you know if exist a flight simulator compatible with rc3 and goggle3 where to practice and learn manual flight ?
Great explanation. Thank you! But I'm not clear on something, if I just want to use the controller in Sport mode for a while, the controller still functions like a regular mini type one, correct? Meaning the spring tension is still there on the left stick? I have to manually remove that tension, no?
Thanks for the video. I’ve been wanting to dive into FPV drones but have always been scared of the learning curve with them. Guess the avata 2 comes with some training wheels that can help me along the way. Any recommendations on flight simulators that may help ?
thank u
nice vid
I'm having a good time❤
What the Reason for the Left stick in Stationary in the down position?
Where can I buy this setup? Amazon got controller and drone sold separately? Got a link?
Do you use them rate that's shown at 1.26mins in video
What do you think about the rc3? As i am confused about what should I buy. I am kinda interested into the tango 2. What do you suggest? Thank you!
I fly the Tango 2 with my home built fpv drones! It's definitely better than an rc3 but DJI doesn't allow tango and other controllers to fly with their drones 😭
What simulator do you recommend to learn to fly the Avata 2, I’m using TRYP, and getting better, just not sure if it’s the best option for us Avata 2 owners
Tryp definitely has much faster and snappier drones to choose from. It's definitely not accurate to flying an Avata 2.
But learning to make it through races nice and steady without crashing will make sure you're more than ready to control the Avata.
Any simulator that you're comfortable with will help!
When you jump into the real deal, you take things slow, you will already know how to fly, you'll just be adjusting to the Drone and the rates
What button is the arm button when in manual or do you have to take off in normal then switch
You need to have the throttle down and you double tap the start/stop button to arm motors. It's much safer and easier to just start in normal or sport, get to altitude and then toggle over. But you can take off from manual if you want.
Again the throttle stick needs to be all the way down or it will not arm from a dead stop in manual. This is a standard safety feature across all FPV drones not just DJI.
Make sure you really know what you're doing before you take off like this, It's a much greater risk to your drone. It's much more vulnerable to windy conditions, it's easy to accidentally bounce it off the ground and damage it.
Thank you, sir. Any recommendations for a Sim?
TrypFPV or Liftoff depending on the capabilites of your PC. Tryp has pretty high recommendations.
@@LemurLogic thank you
What is the recommended settings for Barbados or Dominican Republic
Full Send 💪
Enjoy 😊
I tried this today in with attitute toggle on, but it was different theb you explaint in the video. It still had the neutral point in the middle with the left joystick and the right did you the automatic throttle when going left or right. I did software updated my gear before flying today. You think they changed it with the update?
You need to go into your settings and change the custom button from sports mode over to manual mode!
See this video:
czcams.com/video/qgxpUm1G_hI/video.htmlsi=YCBnN5YygLt-sWAP
Yes i watched this video of yours before flying and did change to manual mode before flying.
And when i changed from sport to manual mode on the controller (top bar) i noticed I flew faster in sport mode then in manual. That cant be right tho? Is that also part of the attitute mode? I am so confused
Queens in da house
Laughs in Mode 3…Reverse baby!
In mode 2, with the attitude turned on, my right stick when pushed forward (pitch down), stick pulled back(pitch up)... it's this normal in attitude enabled?? Or only when it's turned off....
That's How it works with attitude on or off!
If you're in manual mode it will only pitch, if you're normal or sports mode it will pitch and fly forward if you push forward on the right stick and so on and so forth.
Watch the video again you'll see
@@xavier_arthur I learned the hard way yesterday then! Hahaha because I'm used to inverting my sticks in the simulator. So now back to the drawing board and relearn my muscle memory the opposite. Didn't take me long ..
But now I have to get used to it.
There was a vid on someone tearing down their RC2 to move the magnets to invert their sticks because there was no option in the goggles and DJI didn't address this apparently for quite sometime.
Luckily I only crashed on grass and no broken propellers.
Perhaps mention this on your next video that the right stick is not inverted??
Hello, I want to ask a question. I bought controller 3 today. But I want to use my drone not in manual mode, but only with this controller because I'm used to mini 4 pro. I wonder if I can flip and acro in S and N modes without manual mode?
Yes you can, on the left side there's a switch for N, S and Manual mode. You can't switch to manual mode without first doing some configurations and inputing some joystick commands to unlock manual, so it's perfectly ok
Hello Xavier I have just bought this controller but it is impossible to bind it, what am I doing wrong?
Once your goggles and controller are both on press and hold their power buttons for 5s each and they'll go into pairing mode.
7:30 a little bit of yellow as Bob Ross would say😆
😊
anyone recommend a simulator for the fpv 3 controller?
Liftoff or uncrashed
What's please your setting rates ?
He never changed them so in default settings at this stage of progression. I'm sure he'll do a rates video after acro/full manual tutorial
What about YAW
I explained YAW too
Check the video again!
Same as sports and normal mode
I appreciate the low level information because you never know what someone knows or doesn't. However, I would venture to guess anyone flying will start in auto an wouldn't have tightened their thrust stick yet. They won't be wondering why it isn't off the ground being that the stick will be defaulted to the mid point. Anything down from there is down, up is up.
I think your right stick explanation in manual mode doesn't make sense. The right stick in both normal and manual does the same thing, roll the aircraft.
No he is right. It's for beginners in N and S, and DJI take care that you have a good beginner experience.
@@LemurLogic you didn't even get the point

@@arunr5529 help me, father, help me! 🤣
Don’t fly manual, if you never did before. The avata is not meant to crash hard. Other than a real fpv.
You have implicitely assumed that all pilots are using mode 2. If anyone is using mode 1 or mode 3 (as I do) you might have caused irritation to them.
He's just explaining using the defaults and what most use.
@@jeremiblurton_yt Yes, but he should at least have mentioned the other modes.
@@CharlyDuesentrieb Fair enough.
I’m a mode 1 flyer , it’s not hard to transfer the info but you are correct , implying people only fly mode 2
