- In today's video, I'll be flying out the F4U-4B Corsair.
This plane sits at 5.7 BR and, in my opinion, Is one of the best planes BR-for-BR in the entire game. This plane has not just a great flight model, but has amazing guns, arguably the best guns on any prop in the entire game too.
The things you can get away with in the 4B Corsair is ridiculous. Reversals, 1.1km snipes, headons, etc.

Another big advantage of the corsair is the fact that you wont have to fight p51hs in uptiers

Nice flying! F4U-4B is one of my favourite U.S. props even though I mostly do arcade, I'm just not that good at realistic, anyway liked and subbed.
The way to beat the BFs is by making them fast because they compress a lot at high speed. Also The F4U is quite faster on the deck. Good shite
im suprised you dont have more subscribers,your videos are on par with defyns,4 deaths 80 kills is fucking wild, The only plane i consistantly have trouble fighting while im in the f4u4b is fighting the ta 152,any tips on beating them in a dogfight?

For fighting the ta-H, you need to either run from them / shallow climb away from them and BnZ, or if they are catching you, bring them to high speeds and use your better roll and control to reverse them.
The 4B is definitely one of my favorites. Used to be 5.7, then it went to 6.0. I had no idea it went back down to 5.7, might have to take it for a spin
it went to 6.0, got a handling nerf and an engine buff, but people didn't really do well with the new flight model (honestly it was quite garbage at slow speed because you would flat spin in such a fashion you would never come out of it unlike when you yourself induce it with sim mode) but that happened when people saw they had insane engine power and started playing it like a 109 by stall fighting. That's why it went down again. I preferred the old flight model because of how hard it pulled. Ridiculous to Think it outdid the sea fury at what sea fury shines at: high speed maneuverability.

Do they have the true speed? It was the fastest single engine piston driven plane of ww2 at 444 mph
I blame the LF9 for the ridiculous powercreep it enabled.
This Corsair and Yak-3u are the direct result of Gaijin thinking that a superprop with a limitation can be a 5.7 instead of 6.0-6.7.
As the result the real victims are K4 and 5.0 planes.
It really threw me off how weakly the elevator pulls now compared to how I remember it. Still super strong, clearly.

I played SB from 2014 to 2016. And revisited a couple of times, and never ever were the guns in general as strong as they are now. Everything gets obliterated when under cannon fire.

Good job! Love this plain too. Did the first and still the only one 9 kill game in air rb on it. Unfortunately, it's really funny to play only against germans. Spit LF, yak 3u and ki-84 are just regular sponsors on ass pain. Of course they can't get you, cause they are too slow for corsair, but in equal energy states there is nothing to do apart from headons. Seeing three spits above in every match against britain is always so frustrating to play
Yeah fighting planes that turn better than you can be frustrating, but you win if you’re patient enough :)

It was even better before they nerfed the 20mm's
They actually also nerfed the flight model too! More compression at higher speeds, but it’s still bearable.
And with nerfed you mean they sometimes require two hits to take a wing off instead of one?
The damage from 20mm cannons is just ridiculous at the moment.
Doesn’t matter, if the round has 5g TNT equivalent or 15g.
They cranked up the fragment damage to the max, ripping wings and killing engines like there is no tomorrow, yet still haven’t implemented a kinetic component to the fragments.
We have 27mm PELET ammunition in the game and how does it work?
They just made it into APHE because all ammo in-game is either kinetic or explosive.
@@kimjanek646 they nerfed the guns during the realshatter update but then reverted them, so the 20mms work the same as they used to

If you want to talk about disgusting and absolutely criminal aircraft, can we talk British Wyvern (a POST-WAR FIGHTER) and it being ridiculously under-tiered at 4.3?
In the American tree you have things like the P-38K (5.3) and P-47M (5.7!!!). The Wyvern is ever lower ranked than the Bearcat. WHY?! Granted, it is not as fast and capable in a dive as those aircraft... But they are also (except for the P-38K) non-cannon aircraft. Why the literal hell is a 4x 20mm aircraft with a rate of climb 4,528 feet/minute (almost on part with the P-38K!) with a top speed of 404 MPH sitting at 4.3BR? It has no business being there. And, oh, it's a pack aircraft that you have to shell out money for. Isn't it just a coincidence any time I'm flying at 4.0 half the enemy team is filled with Wyverns?
Yeah the Wyvern is only 4.3 because people don’t know how to fly it. If someone who knows what they’re doing is in a wyvern, the enemy team is cooked 😆

the f4u-4b is one of my favorite planes in game but the matchmaker near 6.0 br is just absolute fucking dogshit where you'll regularly find only 288 matches with maybe 2 fighters
wow i see they reverted it to it's old flight model; i remember when i started playing it i would get a solid half of my kills being high speed reversals but then it got it's engine power buffed and it's high speed pull decreased from the amazing 9g's to literally 5g's and you would have to play it like an I225. Also it has been 6.0 for a month, right before it got changed to more stiffness and high altitude's third supercharger gear.
the plane is fantastic, but the usa teams maan, its awful, we lose 9 out 10 games, for some reason nobody climb and 3/4 of the team get smoked while on the deck
4B is a monster but so is 1C.

Tutorials also help, I learned a lot from DEFYN.
Pick a single playstyle and a single family of planes and fly them until you start getting consistent 3-5 kill games and late game carry matches.
Personally I would suggest either Yak-1B/9 to Yak-3P OR Bf109 F2 to Bf-109 G6 lines.
Also there seems to be a clear progression on Mustangs through C10 to H5.
