It's a tough call as to whether the dandelion or the nettle is the "most powerful" weed. I suspect that the nettle is the most unwanted because of its protective sting but look at the benefits - it reduces inflammation, improves osteoarthritis pain and eases gout. Researchers have found that stinging nettles are antimicrobial, antioxidant, pain-relieving, and anti-ulcer. They have been used to treat some cancers and diabetes and been found to boost the immune system.
I often wonder whether our common attitude to these "weeds" is largely driven by the pharmaceutical industry that has a vested interest in weed-killer and chemical medicines.
so much this, man. I actually started learning about the dandelion after there was a clip in an animated movie about wanting to eat the only dandelion as a salad. Since then I've learned so much.
@@chrystalminor1422I learned they broke up compacted soils, and are so adaptable.... Then I learned there were other colors, and that the Japanese bred them into coppers, reds, and even black. I have white dandelions, and pink ones, that have a deep yellow eye. I'm working on naturalizing them on my 32 acres, and I'm always keeping an eye out for different colors, I'd love to grow black and orange together for Halloween!
Thank you- the sun moon and stars connection blew my mind!
In growing up back in Jamaica, my grand-father, was a community VET. He once told me, any plant that bleeds is good for the body. During my 50+ yrs here, I've followed his advise, which has worked perfectly for me & my family..."DANDELION" is wonderful. Is that Y pharmaceutical companies are trying to eradicate it?...ASE'.
Yes and no Dr. Know it's value when it comes to the Heart rebuilding itself
Dandelions safe my Life! 😇🙏❤️
That's why the evil in this word wanted us to destroy this beautiful plant with Round-Up! I'm so happy I've found this channel!
Ase🤞🏾
My mom had my brother, sister & me out in the field picking the blossoms & filling peach baskets. She made some pretty good wine!
The Lord provides. Dandelion is my fav too, the flowers are delicious and the roots are even better. The root tea beats coffee in my opinion and has none of the negatives.
God bless.
Bout to send this to my hoa

Great advice. My husband (Italian) was the only person I knew who ate dandelion
So I’ve been using pesticide for the past five years in the yard and I wanna go pick up the dandelions to make tea however I think that’s a bad idea I’m going to grow a separate bed just for dandelions, it seems we have to take care of ourselves better than ever now.

This is how it should be , A Lovely guy in real life outside in nature making his videos / not like all the other over americanised shouty voices with animated graphics videos on CZcams that irritate continuously. You certainly come across as a guy that everyone would love to have as a best friend. Keep Smiling and teaching us all.
Learned so much from this video. I never new how the dandelion got its name. Lots of uses for this amazing flower
Thank you for this video, very inspirational! Just almost cried yesterday, as neighborhood norms forced me to mow down a field of purple dog violets, our Illinois state flower in the US, and a childhood favorite. The dandelions went as well, but you know dandelions, they'll be back soon and welcome to them!
Dandelions are my second favorite flower! I eat them in salads (the flowers) and make tea out of the leaves and roots. 😊
Awesome
Awesome 😎👍 thanks 🙏

I was thinking this too, which bits can you eat and what can you put them in?
Hi, I was looking fwd to explaining the benefits of "soldier's coffee" made fr charring its deep invasive roots. A English gentleman explained that to me when I was walking at The Peak District .
I knew a lot of people ate dandelions but I didn't know they had that much nutrition to them. 🤣💖👋
Super rich in nutrition 😁
Cant wait to collect a few
Excelllllllllllent👌
Roy Gherbil approves!
My parents make dandelion jam. Heaven knows why...
You remind me of David Attenborough but the herbalist version.
And party on dudes!
🌼🌼🌼
The same company that owns round-up also owns heart medicine.
Here, here! My favorite flower too. I’m actually grateful that the world hates it because that makes it safe from being GMO’d or copyrighted by Monsanto.
Why the hell do my parents want these out of our lawns smh
Weed killing companies paid big money to advertise certain plants as bad so people would buy the chemicals.
Need some of the giant ones from tmnt!!
ive come to appreciate the dandelion which i always disliked because ive had to pull so many out of my yard. thank you
Anyone know the name of the song? Thanks!
I knew an Italian gentleman who made a very delicately flavored white wine from dandelion flowers. Now I know where dandelions got the name from the French, nevertheless in French Canada they are called pissenlit which means piss in the bed, and the Scots know them colloquially as pee the beds. Jus' sayin'.
Fuck yeah!!
✌️😁
Ok so you said so many things about this weed but I dont see you eating it???
We've other videos showing you how to cook it and eat it 🙂
@@homeiswhereourheartis ok thanks Ill look for them.

What is the best way to lower blood pressure naturally?

@@homeiswhereourheartis what supplements do you recommend?

The problem is like you say knowledge is power and 98% of people these days don't know what its is other than a 'weed' companies like that though £££££
I'm going have to research into into more to see if companies actually invested into convincing people things are weeds
Psssst You can make wine out of the petals!
great vid thank you!
