    Life was so much simpler and and fun back then, with more freedom.
    Australia was heaven on Earth back in the 70’s.
    Cool video.

    That's what Saturday Arvo was back then, Kurnell sand hills, bikes , babes, cars, = fun. And surf, thanks for the memories .

      I've been gone form the shire since the early 80's. ... but coming back many years later to visit old friends...the disappearance of the sandhills freaked me out... what the @#@#*$$$$ 😖

    My father would load us all into our Statesman and we would drive from Smithfield to Kurnell, where he would load up a trailer with Kurnell Sand.
    Sand, which he would use to make concrete, to concrete our driveway.

    Those were the days - complete lack of safety equipment, helmets!

      I happen to read you comment just passing the open-face helmet shown at 2:27. :) They were not mandatory for sure.

    No helmets, fireworks, and nobody mandating us to lockdown, and yet somehow we survived.

    I love the thongs as safety foot wear .

    0:57 O 'Donnel Griffin TV van, I worked for them in the 70s, could that be Caronia Avenue?

      @ramdarook  Před 3 lety

      Yes it is Caronia Ave, you can see Cronulla Theatre in the Distance. When I was 1 year old my family lived in Caronia Ave & then we moved to 3 Short St Woolooware for about 8 years & then onto 24a Darook Park Rd South Cronulla (My dad built all 3 houses) p.s. I have never noticed that van thanks for pointing it out.

      @@ramdarook Amazing story Ross, yes me and my future wife lived at 6/12, I think the van was owned by workmate of mine, who lived next door to the flats I think his first name was Earl but not sure , Ian H.

      Wish I’d seen this earlier. Caronia Ave! I’ve been up and down North Cronulla streets on google maps trying to work out that location. Should have realised the way the cinema was facing. Doh.
