No mobile phones were required back then just lots of laughter and long hair.

    You've done it again Ross
👍🏻👍🏿 Thanks for these memories. Always good to see these for a child of the 60's and 70's who grew up in the Shire (Burraneer Bay - Bundeena) some familiar faces there

Brilliant as ever Rossco. I still reckon the Shire Council should bestow some sort of award on you for your achival footage. best videographer bar none. I love your work.

Just watching your vids after returning from Cronulla to Canberra yesterday evening. I bet you never imagined making these films all those years ago that one day you'd be publishing them on the internet! I grew up at East Hills on Georges River back in the 70s and 80s. Awesome nostalgia man!

I use to have film nights years ago at my family home in Cronulla when I first filmed all this & I was always very excited when 30 people turned up. Who would have thought anyone would want to see them almost 50 years later. Thanks for you nice comments!

I don't think I would've been that interested in seeing these home movies back in the 70s, but now it's like looking back In time.
I probably don't know anyone in these films, but I bet I've at least crossed paths with them at some stage or know someone they know.
These are really well made though, very creatively done. There was something about shooting on Super 8 too that made home movies move disciplined (cause it was so expensive!).

Had a great experience spearfishing at Kiama a few years ago catching eastern rock lobsters by hand. It was a calm day and the tide was low so we went into the blowhole. Its beautiful inside with the sun shining through the blowhole illuminating the deep body of water underneath and it is home to many large stingrays. The tourists freaked out when they saw us waving to them from inside 😂

@@ramdarookDid you film other parts of Sydney like the Sydney harbour in the 70/80s era.
