Good to see Jimmy again! I spent a lot of time watching his videos back waiting for the release of the Archon Type B after my preorder in 2017-2018.
and good to see you!
So cool that PTR is the new US distributor! Cant wait to check them out at Shot Show.
Awesome seeing you again Jimmy!
Thanks... You too! :)
I have a Type B that I bought in Aug 19 and it is my favorite firearm I own. I am excited to get my hands on a Gen 2 Type B sooner than later I hope. Great rundown on this video!
Pretty good video and explanation on all the different versions! Thank you Jimi!!!
Glad it was helpful!
Good overview of a really innovative gun. Have a gen 1 strike one and still love it along with a CZ Shadow 2., which shoot about equal in accuracy. Will most likely get the APF Strike one speed. Good to see you back on youtube.
Thanks for the update Jimmy . Much appreciated.
You also sent me some parts a little bit ago to freshen up my GEN one type B I appreciate that also.
Recently, I put a window in the top of my slide and three ports in the barrel of my Archon , talking about shooting flat … That thing is silly flat now !
Look forward to getting my hands on a GEN two soon also.
Take it easy man talk soon
I was considering asking if a 5" non-threaded barrel was possible so I could get it mag-na-ported.
Just port the 4” barrel , definitely makes a difference. The gun shoots flat to begin with , but with the ports it’s better
@@540PewPew nah, then I need to port the slide. I'd rather have the 5" barrel, it'll cover the loss in velocity and shoot even flatter than what a standard port would.
@@AverageGunPerson
I hear ya man and agree either way would work fine … the 5” shooting flatter , idk maybe but it would be hardly noticeable I’d suspect.
I cut a window in the slide for the barrel ports , so lost little weight off the slide too.
Good luck with how ever you go man , post up some videos too if you shoot it in competition!
@@540PewPew I will consider it, I'd like to see more Archon Videos & shorts for sure.
Strike one, Strike one speed, LRC kit, Type B. I like them
Thanks for the history. I had sent a "ravenous" email & got a reply adding me to the pre-order/waitlist but idk if they are still doing it, my recent inquiry just got a responce of it "releases very soon."
Either way i just bought a Lead & Steel Pandora's Box Red Dot for this gun. Hope to be impressed, maybe ill buy some stuff from you guys for it too
You will be contacted Tuesday.
I can't wait Jimmy "List Me" 😎
You got it brother!
I Love mine. I have two of the Arsenal Strike One they both have been sent to Salient Arm's International ( SAI )
One is still new in the box and will remain in the safe.
now that's cool, one of my favorite shooting guns in the SAI v. and if you put the solid guide rod and 10 lbs. spring with ported barrel... it turns into a cute lil kitten.
🔥🔥🙌🙌
I believe PTR just announced that they are now bringing the Archon B Gen1 & 2 for distribution?
Available for pre-order on their website. I just checked the press release, shipping to distributors this month and also manufacturing the firearm as well. I wonder if they are still going to honor the pre-orders from their original announcement video....
I don't think they had taken any pre-orders, at least not that I've heard of, I know a lot happening with these guns, but not everything ;) @@AB1138-
@@rain6firearmsandlifestyle131 I need to be better with my words, there was a wait-list invitation in the first 2023 video. Now PTR website has them for sale but no listed shipping date. Only standard irons atm
@@AB1138- Oh yes, everyone on that list from the video earlier this year will be contacted by mid week I believe.
I saw the Gen 1 and Gen 2 at the PTR booth at CanCon and Suppressfest, it's crazy quiet with PTR's new Vent suppressor
A handful of Sears? I broke so many Sears in both my archons they just started shipping them to me to install myself. I think approximately 6 Sears? They broke around the 2k round mark every time. Factory ammo equivalent to federal 124gr. I also had a slide crack and a trigger housing crack. My Arsenal strike one is over 3k rounds nothing broke yet.
Good to know, that's the first I've heard and we've moved and warranty'd more guns than anyone else. Thanks for the input, I hope you have a great experience with you Strike One. Which gen is your strike one?
Will PTR warranty my broken slide? Archon said they would but it’s been over a year, still no results.
Can you get any ergle frames for sale? Just the frame? For the Arsenal strike one not the archon.
That would be rad, but not currently and I don't see that happening unfortunately.
These new guns need to come ready for optics.
(I have 3 gen 1 strike ones, a salient strike one, and a nocturne.)
They offer optics cut for shield & acro.
They are on the way too.
I have new Type B, it has same firing pin indicator like Strike One.
Wow, what markings are on the gun? That is an anomaly, but can occur under certain circumstances. Are you original owner? Be Awesome!
@@rain6firearmsandlifestyle131 Yes I am original owner. It is with Archon Firearms Type B markings..Proud owner less than a month. Can send you some pictures if u want something particular to see. cheers
Are you going to be doing a Raven version of the Gen2?
Yes, they are being worked on now. Thank you
@@rain6firearmsandlifestyle131 I have 0017 for the first run. Would definitely be interested in the gen2.
That's awesome, 17 is a great number! You will see it soon. @@bleedsblue05esk8
Will they ever have an optics ready model?
I guess he should have mentioned that. The gen 2's have listed options for Optic Ready, Suppressor Ready, and OSR. Only milled for Shield RMSc & Acro footprints. Apparently you can still put on a full size holosun EPS on the shield footprint if you want.
Yeah I get that, the next video is all Gen II and versions, and pricing. 10 days out approx.
@@rain6firearmsandlifestyle131 10 days until the video or 10 days until the launch itself? Thanks for sharing, it's been near total silence!
@@AverageGunPerson We're set to record the video now that guns are in, they'll likely go live for sale in two weeks about.
Well that was horribly confusing.
Are we a gang?, like spanky? If we like guns and are a gang now, are we a bang gang? Are we bang gang members?
I actually upgrade these triggers to sub 3 pounds with my special springs.
I've seen you around the archon videos on CZcams, some shooters in Europe are doing that too, that honza shooter guy maybe? Is there an option for me to figure out how to get it to a 4lb pull? Or should I just ask for a factory trigger job?
With some work I got my trigger down to 1.89lbs … have over 20,000rds though it now
@@AverageGunPerson Yes use just one of the springs I have instead of both you’ll probably be around 3.5-4 pounds. So I don’t know how to contact people on here to trade things but I can at least tell you what I did. I used a caliper to measure the original springs and then bought several variations thinner but kept the same length and coils coil count to get a lighter feel. You only need to replace the sear and trigger plunger spring. Or in your case just replace the trigger plunger spring.
@@AverageGunPerson Are you a member on the Brianenos forums? I’m twilk73 over there.
@@540PewPew Interesting! I haven’t tried to get the strike one below 2 pounds. However, with the archon anytime I got the trigger below 2 pounds on both my archons I had reset issues. The trigger safety would not clear the housing because the spring was too weak. What springs are you replacing, are you removing some springs completely? I only mess with the trigger plunger spring and the sear spring, they’re the only coil springs the rest are flat wire springs and I just don’t mess with them.
i'm s tarting to think the type d is the exact same thing as the type b. someone help me out here.
It is except traditional slide shape!
@@rain6firearmsandlifestyle131
what does that mean?
I mean, it is the exact same gun. The only difference is the slide is like a regular rectangular shaped slide. No notch out of the front press check area of the Archon type bravo.
@@ironhorsefirearms4593oh, now i see...
why the hell would they bother doing that?
@thatguy5358 I've read a decent amount of whinging in other comments / forum threads. The Type D looks less conspicuous... but I prefer the Type B
I won't support Archon again since they don't stand behind their products. I sent my type B gen 1 to them for an optic cut, then waited 2 years in radio silence to get it back; they did not even bother to sent back my mags. Good gun, crap company.
I hear you, that company is out of business.
