“If I’m not having fun, I’m doing my job wrong”
I loved that!
Sounded like Howie Mandel in Little Monsters lol
That's actually a good quote.. hm
Now that is proper work mentality.
Basically the Groucho Marx line, "If you're not having fun, you're doing something wrong."
So cute 🥰
Jason Momoa embracing his "teddy bear huggable-ness" more than ever before!
Would be great if LeBron James followed suit after voicing Gwangi in Smallfoot
Jason momoa ❤❤❤
Imagine turning a blind eye to what he was doing to his kid
You sound like a movie critic that got paid to say good things about shit movies.
nice way of saying he's fat
I lost my mom a couple years ago….and this made me cry as soon as she said “I just wanna see my dad again” I’m 40…and sometimes I still say “I don’t want to wake up”
so am I
53. same.
Hugs Jessica!
I'm in almost the same situation as you, my father stopped taking care of me when I was little and now I only have my mother, so I sympathize with you
33 and lost my mom 9 years ago. I prayed so many times to see my mom in my dreams. Didn’t happen for the longest time
Just finished this movie. Not gonna lie, i cried. And I'm almost 30 lol. Lost my dad when i was young so this hit home. Thank you Netflix.
I am so sorry for that, may your father rest in peace 🕊️❤️ God bless you ❤️
Part of Momoa's appeal is his relationship with his children and the dad energy he gleefully embraces. It's not a part of his character we've seen captured on film and I for one am excited to see this.
Have you seen See yet? So good! Love those kids like his own
Hollywood lifestyle. They prey on little children while low iq Maggots like you praise it
what weird made up fan shit.
I was just thinking about See... very fatherly and badass in that
You haven't seen 'see'
Jason Momoa never disappoints in his films. Cannot wait
He is like Tim Curry. He is often 'the good part' of a bad movie.
Except Dune
Have you seen his Conan the Barbarian movie?
I literally just said that to myself. I perked up when he popped on screen
@@manuelorozco7760 sorry to disappoint you but most people love Dune
This movie got me crying legit. I recently lost my mother, and the only thing I have ever wanted since is to see her again. This movie hits so hard. Terrific movie.
For real 💯🥹
For someone like me, with serious war related PTSD issues, this movie is a masterpiece. I really think dreams were the one thing that kept me sane during my darkest moments. This movie is profound, more than you think. Still just watching the trailer gives me goosebumps.
Edit: it's true, no dream lasts forever. Sooner or later it's time to wake up. Like I said, dreams kept me sane, but then something... someone more important came along. I was barely 20 years old and met a girl at a club. Little did I know she would make my dreams come true. That was almost 12 years ago, she's now my wife. Watched this movie with her, I just kept crying and laughing at the same time. She didn't think I was crazy, that was never the case. She just listened and told me that our past should not define who are today and who we want to be one day.
Hold on to your dreams, but learn to let go when the time is right. Good luck.
As somebody who had lost her dad. This trailer really hits home.... There was a time where I'd rather sleep long or sleep the whole day because in my dreams I could meet my dad again. I could hug and talk to him and even said my sorry- the words I haven't said when he passed away. You see I have a little argument with him before going to another place and when I returned home he was already in a coma(he had stroke). He pass away a week later. So dreaming of him was the only time I could say my heartfelt thanks, love and my sincerest apology.
I can't wait to watch this...
You never really know how much you love someone until there gone 😭
They say dreams are a gateway to the next life, so you are meeting him, and he knows you love him.
That is hard to go through that. Thank you for sharing. I do not know you or your father but I am sure your Dad knew you loved him and because he loved you, I am sure he does not want you to carry any guilt or regret.
Seeing my deceased father alive in dreams is so precious . Waking up, not so good. Those who we love. Never fully die. They live on our hearts and memories. I await to see my parents in another dream.
A billion hugs. Times infinity. I’m so sorry for your loss. Love him for always, times infinity.
Netflix is on a roll lately, coming out with some unique movie ideas.
I’m still upset with Netflix for cancelling production on Bone. But this helps a little.
Look up Nemo in Slumberland. Studio Ghibli made a whole anime movie in the 90’s
@@victorhernandez8723 Im upset they cancelled Dark Crystal what a gem.
Lol good one
This is a live action remake of Little Nemo. Cartoon about a boy named Nemo who goes to Slumberland to be the princesses playmate. It was originally a newspaper comic strip from the 20's.
The 80's animated one was one of my FAVORITE childhood movies but almost nobody knew about it, this is so crazy & awesome they remade it. I literally would watch this on repeat on VHS lol
Yes we owned the VHS Little Nemo Adventures in Slumberland
I've got it on dvd and make my 5 year old watch it all the time lol
This doesn't really look anything like that movie though does it?

Cause its based on little nemo movie that was animated, and didn't do anything different to be original.
@@LegendarySkypenis If its based on then I don't think they had a way to change much, but hey, thanks anyway, I didn't know about Little Nemo 1989 and now I'm going to watch it.
The Little Nemo game and old cartoon have been in my head for MONTHS and now this. My nostalgia is ready.
it's a sign!!
Have heard about the kickstarters to remake the game and rerelease the old comics

God, yes! Same feeling!! My kids watch Little Nemo and love it. When I was a child it was my favorite 🙏🏻🌠
Little Nemo in Slumberland is probably my favourite childhood cartoon, but this seems to be based on it veeeery loosely.
Im so glad to see this get another shot at a film adaptation! The comic is iconic!
Agreed! I am happy a new generation gets to discover McCay's masterpiece.
An absolute MUST see. It was funny, adventurous and immensely emotional. Fantastic acting, effects and story. Be sure to have tissues especially if you’ve lost a parent or loved one.

Absolutely loved this movie. I watched it with my kids and I wasn't expecting to be sent on an emotional rollercoaster. It really resonates with people who have lost a loved one. A great message.

OMG XAVIE-
Recently my father loss his battle to cancer while I was caring for him in hospice at our home. It was an experience I will never forget, I miss him with every heart beat. Now this movie will hit many that have lost a loved one.
I lost my father a few years back to cancer as well. I hadn't been able to see him for several years because of distance and he slipped into a strange delirium, so contact and updates of his slow death were through texts with his wife who I had never met in person. Anyways, the week following his death, I had several extremely vivid lucid dreams that let me hug him and hear his voice and almost smell him. Sooo vivid. It was like magic. If you need some sort of closure like that, I hope your mind makes that happen.
I just came to this video to leave a comment for the makers of the movie. Thank you, for making it. Made me cry and it captured my attention the entire time. I haven't had a movie do that for some time.
This is not just a simple movie, you get to watch everyday.. this is masterpiece, art, pure form of imagination. I am 30 and I feel like a 5 year old happy kiddo again ready to explore dreamland after watching this 😄
When she says 'I don't wanna wake up.' I FEEL THAT.
That one line actually made me tear up a lil bit. Life is hard...and it feels so much harder when you lose the ones you love along the way.
Jokes on you because you're in the dream world right now.
@@VincentVoidheart they're not ready for that conversation lol

One of the best movies of the year. Loved it. Jason Momoa was PERFECT
I really missed this type of movies, something of where the wild things are, bridge to terabithia and a monster call. Something of bittersweet childhood experience
The original animated movie has been an all time favorite of mine. I bought it on Blu-ray forever ago and love re-watching it. The original comics are wonderful as well. It's so nice to see it re-imagined again. And I have to admit. It looks stunning! Can't wait to watch it and be pulled into Slumberland again.
I remember watching it on VHS every time I went to my Grandparents house when I was a kid.
Oh, this is based on the nemo movie I saw when I was a kid :O HOLY SHIT
yeah i just thinking i loved this as a kid, i wondered how many other people know about Little Nemo
Okay okay! I knew it was familiar when i hear the names then i was like, oh SLUMBER LAND and then the bed and yeah it was like a memory came flooding back of this VHS. Thanks for the confirmation
Loved this movie growing up. Its actually a jp anime movie.
I always love seeing big bad action actors do kids movies. Especially kids fantasy. It's nice to see them have so much fun with a part.
I finally got around to watching this movie. Just wonderful! Great performances, music and visuals all around! And please, give everyone who worked on Pig, especially the animators, a huge raise! He is the cutest thing I've seen in a long while. Every time he was on screen my eyes were glued to him. He stole the show with every little puppylike animation, reaction and his floppy ears. So incredibly adorable!
Screenwriters deserve a raise. I cried out everything that was inside 30 years. The movie I've been waiting for all my life.
That's the motto I want my life (and job) to be about: "If I'm not having fun I'm doing my job wrong"
“Live a life you don’t have to vacate from”
Hello ,how are you doing
Looks good when in “double quotes“.
Imagine if you were a lucid dreamer in Slumberland. That would be some powerful stuff.
That’s just basically the plot to Inception
@@sleepysnoozin I hate that you're right
Wow! Hands down.. I loved it. My daughter loved it too.
Asked her in one part of the movie if she was crying she said "nope" with her lower lip wobbling. So I told her that it's okey to feel sad and cry then she burst into tears and threw herself onto my lap.
Well made movie with all kinds of rollercoaster emotions. It really drew me in. Only lion king had me emotionally like this one.
I'm not ashamed to say that I shed a few tears too...and I'm old.
I'm with ya brotha David
I have just watched this movie on Netflix. Totally loved it. Marlo Barkley is adorable, Lots of love to her and keep it up.
I know he was in other projects before Game of Thrones but I first knew of Jason Mamoa when be played Khal Drogo.
And at that time, the way that character was written and how he played it, I could've never pictured him in a role like this.
I salute this man and I'll continue watch and support anything he's in
He does such a good job to immersive himself in his roles, so adaptable!
I knew him from Atlantis!
Slumberland - Film synopsis :
A young girl discovers a secret map to the dreamworld of Slumberland, and with the help of an eccentric outlaw, she traverses dreams and flees nightmares, with the hope that she will be able to see her late father again.
This seems to be the perfect role for Jason Momoa and i don't know why.
I used to love and be terrified of Adventures in Slumberland when I was a kid. Looks like they captured the wondrous feeling of the dream world, the nightmare realm is probably pretty great as well.
Really looking forward to seeing this!
I was just saying this is definitely little Nemo and the adventures of slumberland a Classic
WHAT! This is NOTHING Like the Little nemo movies WTF are u talking about
I adored the vintage comics of Slumberland as a child and still read them to this day. You'd best believe I'll be watching this excited to see the imagery on the screen.
Just the walking bed alone brought memories.
Yes, I came here to say this! There was something especially fascinating about a comic that was nearly 100 years old. The imagery is unforgettable.
This is based on the stories by one of the fathers of both comics and animation: Windsor McKay. His comic "Little Nemo In Dreamland" is an astounding piece of art, and I'm glad someone dug it up from the archives to make this. Go check out his art!
Little Nemo Adventures in Slumberland is better. This doesn't look like it will include the nightmare or be anywhere near as close to as dark as that movie.
It was already a movie, and this looks like it does the original no justice which is really, really sad.
Pisses me off that they made this into a woman too. Its too fkn much i wanna see little nemo and icarus. And him and princess camille and the goodgoblins not this little friggen girl man who tf is this 😤😤😤😤😤
My favorite childhood cartoon movie
Is it a book or a comic or something?
Am I the age demographic for this? No. Am I going to watch it because it looks fun and Momoa and Barkley's chemistry looks absolutely adorable? Hell yeah.
Ha, I was just thinking the same thing!
If you ever needed proof that film 'critics' don't know what they are talking about, this is it. A fantastic, beautiful and heart warming film, absolutely and definitely worth a watch for kids and adults. My one complaint (but not a complaint because he was excellent) is that its billed as Jason Momoa's film, for me Chris o'Dowd stole the show and delivered an exceptionally moving performance (accent aside!), the scenes between him and Marlow Barkley were genuinely emotional and completely believable. The cgi is fantatstic and the soundtrack binds it all together.
Momoa is giving off some serious Beetlejuice vibes! I love it!!!
I remember watching the original movie as a kid. Can't wait for this one!
Now I want a Beetlejuice remake with Momoa... thanks. :P

We’re so use to seeing his brutality in movies as he is a fierce actor. First noticed that in Stargate Atlantis, thinking this guy needs bigger gigs (here we are today now).
