How to make Popcorn WITHOUT oil or butter! It's very EASY!

- Popcorn can be a healthy snack but microwaveable popcorn or movie popcorn is popped using oil or butter or both! Making popcorn with oil or butter is unnecessary so in this video, I'll show you how to make popcorn without any oil or butter so you can enjoy it guilt-free...like me!
Step 1: Heat up a pot on very low heat and use a cover.
Step 2: Once the pot is hot, put the kernels in.
(Depending on the size of the pot I would recommend testing between 60-100grams to see what works for you)
Step 3: Shake the pot every 60-90 seconds so the kernels don't burn. The popcorn should start popping after 5-10 minutes
Step 4: Once the popping slows down, pay close attention to the popcorn. If no more kernels pop for 5 seconds, it is done.
Step 5: Pour into a bowl and enjoy! (you may add salt, sugar, cinnamon, as you wish)

My father always used oil so I for many years used oil, butter, etc. I didn't know you could pop popcorn without oil. I'm going to try this right now. Thanks!
Did it work
@@user-qp7ng7ii3v yes
I had no idea you could make popcorn without any butter or oil. Thanks, this will save a lot of calories on diet. Cheers!
@@alicantuncer4800 yes it really will, and you’ll be able to eat all the popcorn you want !
Dr. Alan Mandell's shorts on "What Popcorn Can Do for Your Body" led me to searching air popped popcorn. It's a healthy snack. I'm thankful I found this vid that doesn't use microwave and keeps the popcorn plain. Perfect for what doc promotes. Really appreciate this. =)
Same- dr Alan!
@@prosperitymagnet888 I made this video because I needed to figure out another way other than using the microwave
had my doubts but it worked, even better than in oil - thank you!
Thank you. I had no money to buy oil because i am on a low budget, l thought is it possible to make popcorn without oil: and there you were.
Again, thank you.
I did not know this was possible.
Me too! I was desperate for popcorn but have no oil and can’t get any from the store, so I’m so glad I found this guy.
This was absolute perfection! Thank you!! Ive been getting very frustrated with popcorn lately and that frustration is officially gone!
Yay 😁
It wasn't working when i tried it....
It works also if you set it to high heat as long as you keep shaking the pan slightly enough for the kernels to be constantly moving.
Once they start popping, lower the heat and keep moving the pan until the popping stops.
Using a microwave is much easier, specially after you figure out the exact amount of time and heat is needed. On a cheap one, 100g kernels should be done popping after 3 and half minutes.
Thanks for sharing the tip!
Microwaving is very dangerous
@@bitesizedguidevery fake video little kid
Just tried your method and it worked! 👍🏽My kernels took about 10 minutes to start popping.
Thank you so much for this. I was really wondering how I’m going to make popcorn without oil. Let me head to the kitchen and try this method

Did it work? :)
@@bitesizedguide yes! On my second try 😂
I honestly can't believe it work 😂
definitely not as good as the ones with oil or butter .. but still thanks alot
For whom it didn't work with , there is 2 factors he didn't mention :
1 - the size of the oventop (don't use the small one) probably close to size of the pot is the key (not sure)
2 - there is a serten type of pot , i think its called non-stick
Thanks for the popcorn lesson! 😅
i'm on a diet and i'm craving popcorn..so this is gonna help me a lot..thank you!
I sprinkle some nutritional yeast on my popcorn. This was fantastic, Thank you! I can't imagine choosing not to use oil for health reasons then still using "salt or sugar or butter" Try some nutritional yeast, friends, it's kind of buttery and pretty good for ya!👌🦋🌽🍿
Appreciate the tip!

Some sources say the fiber needs a little fat to pass though system, which is why cereal adds milk too. Without oil is good option to know though, nice video.
Thank you! ❤ finally simply and healthy!
You know it’s fake
You saved my Sunday evening mannnnnn😂💯

Love this ❤🤗
your lovely and a great help to this WW
It works! But i think the measurement is depends on how small or big our pot is. I have a smaller pot and 100 gr still too much
Thanks for sharing. Have you tried popping in brown bag in microwave?. I also have a gigantic bowl 😅 nothing added delicious. Looking forward to trying your method🎉
Superb Video dude 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

What type of pot do you use?
I burned my popcorn, so I'm here now
likee the video.do shre more healthy video like this👍
I just found out that kernels pop at 180 C degrees and that's why people use oil or butter.
P.s. Love the pot.
Its pretty simple isn’t it? I prefer to eat guilt free and in bulk!
I know as an Indian myself I can recognise you that you are from the Indian origin as well. But damn bro you look like Rishi Sunak!!!
Thankfully this man in the video is not that WEF schill.
easy way to make popcorn

& put it in the microwave..

Me too, it's delicious 😋

Same man wtf) nothing comes out of it
Lmaoooo
Time to make some popcorn 🍿
Did you try it? :)
you can put a lot of popcorn you do not need to worry if you just shake the pan
As long as the pot is big enough to handle the amount of popcorn 🍿:)
Didn't work for me :(
It took ages before it started to pop and only 10% of them did, the others became almost black.
🤣🤣🤣🤣Mine and am trying again
@@gigimash4043 Lol let me know if you find a solution. Good thing popcorn is cheap.
eBay sells this “ vintage pop corn pan- see long handle on lid? Amazon sells similar one but reviews are very bad. Singapore has different pots, different culture.
Sounds like your kernels may have been dried out.
good video ...:)
idk why but this didnt work out for me the kernels didnt pop at all and they got burnt
Bro youre adorable
Hey can i do it in a pressure cooker?
I guess it's going to be burt. Since it uses higher temperatures
I need my salt n light oil
Nice dude thx u
Anytime! Did it work for you? :)
Yeah. See U when you'r immune system is completely wracked and U be another of characters of future dr house series. Thanks.
Where did you get that pot?
Calphalon
Can pressure cooker do this
inko diet m kha skty hn?
wow...
I am so surprised it actually worked!
Would be great with truffle salt!
true, good suggestion
Thanks, I wanted an alternative to using vegetable oils which I found out are bad for my liver!
Anyone have an electric stove and will it work.
Is your popcorn 80 cals per serving of 28g? Cause on google it says 65 cals per 100g of kernels, I'm confused now
100g of kernels is about 380calories
Hey!!!
No way this works, won't you burn the pot / pan!?!?!?
I don't have a microwave and here in Poland it's hard to even find popcorn just with kernals. Not to mention i don't think it's generally long term health wise safe to be using a microwave not to mention popcorn bags contain chemicals.
Anyways, long story short I'm going to try this lets pray for my pot!! 🤞🙏 Ahaha.
Also: Yea it's an amazing snack if someone can pull it off this way that's why I've been trying to figure out a way to interpret this into my diet. I lift weights im around 10% body fat trying to reach 9% for fun haha.
Thanks for the vid, and sorry for the long comment ❤️ 😄
I live in Singapore but I ordered the kernels online from Amazon. Good point about the pot, think maybe a heavy duty one would work better? I feel the key is to keep the fire really really low and let the heat build up inside. Hope it worked for you mate !!
I was also 10% body fat but ive got a torn rotator cuff at the moment, haven’t been able to lift for a year. Doing lots of Physio!
@@bitesizedguide thanks for the tip (my rotary cuff is torn too haha) im at 25% body fat n been trying to go under 20% n im at 48kg. This popcorn trick is perfect!
@@eminences its such a frustrating injury! Dying to get back to the weights haha How’s your recovery process?
@@bitesizedguide Im doin physio at changi general hosp too. They r trying to strengthen the muscle connecting the rotary cuffs. Im using resistance bands at home for the exercise im told to do. But.. sheesh i secretly still do weights lol.
