      Yeah but there are some brands out there that claim theirs can't be done that way even though I am 100% sure all kernels are the exact same thing just with a different brand name shoved on the bottle etc

      oil is mostly used to make food not stick to the pan, ur kitchen wont explode if u cook anything without oil LOL

    ... The vinegar is a good idea… I put it in a bag with lots of powdered nutritional yeast… That’s the fine nutritional yeast not the regular… If you have the regular nutritional yeast put it in the blender until you have a powder… Clings to the popcorn very nicely and I am sure the vinegar will help with the clinging… Thanks for your recipe🙏

    Your such a life saver I was actually not gonna eat popcorn again due to oil overload.after watching this video I literally threw the phone aside and ran to the microwave to give it a try.3 minutes later and guess what? I was smiling with excitement.

    1st method, just use big round glass heat resistant bowl with ceramic or glass plate as cover. It leaves kernels but these can be used again and the ones that are left finally become crunchy and edible. No need to add anything, they are fantastic as they are. Healthy. Addictive too.

      And not all oils are bad. Butter, peanut oil, olive oil, are not too bad. It is the refined palm oil and hydrogenated vegetable oil that are bad.

    During my non-nutritarian days (SOS), I used pickle-brine as a seasoning adherent ... worked well for dill-pickle flavoured popcorn.
    Nowadays like yourself though I use apple cider vinegar along with a ridiculous variety of herbs & spices ... I will give your Method #3 a shot next weekend thanks Brittany!

    I just tried the glass container and the stove methods and they both work perfectly fine. I was planning to order an air popper but now I won’t.

    I tried the first microwave method. Make sure the papertowel is tight around the glass container, my kernels did a bit of jumping! Also it might take one or two tries to perfect the timing, I burnt mine a bit the first time around. But then I was surprised and pleased with the results! Thank you!

    Thanks! The first vid I watched on this topic bragged they use 7 TABLESPOONS of butter.... I immediately went to find something else. These are great methods I will try asap!

    Oh my goodness... I thought oil was required in order to pop the popcorn, lol. I could never understand how popcorn could be "low calorie" with all that oil used, so this is definitely something I will be trying now!

    Thanks for this, as dumb as it sounds, I never knew you could microwave the kernels just like that. Always thought that you could only do it with the microwaveable ones. This makes it much more convenient to create a healthy, low calorie snack. There's absolutely no reason to go back to the unhealthy premade microwaveable popcorn now. Thanks so much.
    BTW, I find it funny at the end of your video it shows you have 445 subs, and now you're at 55.5K, congrats and wish you best of luck!

    Spraying pickle juice or coconut aminos is also good if you want no fat but they are obviously salty.

    I did it with my air fryer. Air pop the popcorn. Before you start get a spray bottle of water. Next gather your spices. Pop your popcorn. The second it's done spray it a little with water then quickly shake on toppings. I'm enjoying popcorn with dill and nooch. No oil no butter!!

    Oil as a whole isn't bad for you. The oils present in pre-made popcorn and movie theater popcorn are very likely terrible for you. However since I'm looking to make more low calorie snacks these methods are very helpful. Great video!

      Yeah, best fats to use would be coconut/avocado/olive oil, or clarified butter (a.k.a ghee).

    Thanks for sharing. I use the brown bag method. Organic kernels only. Why? I watched a food chef on tv who mentioned that tiny microscopic organisms were in conventional kernels that are able to get into the microbiome. Sorry to digress. I eat my popcorn without seasoning 🎉

    i tried with the 1st method and it worked for most of the popcorn, the catch is if you cook it for too long then your microwave might shut off to prevent overheating.

    NOTE- According to the FDA, the ink, glue, and recycled materials in brown paper bags may emit toxic fumes when the bag is heated. Also, paper bags ignite easily during heating. Heating glass is fine, but this was bad advice.

      Put about 3 kernels in the pan and wait for one to pop, then put the rest of the kernels and wiggle the pan often

      Dont go to a super high temperature i go for medium. When i go for high it starts to burn them

      It works very well with a nonstick pot. Just allow the pot to heat very well then put the corn and cover the pot. It will pop everything within 3-5 minutes

    Look up blackjewel popcorn online. I used to buy popcorn from crownjewelgourmet but they seem to have disappeared. Black Jewel, however, is very much still around. And their popcorn is so much better. Another company called tiny but might is pretty dang yummy too.

    For the best oil free microwave popcorn (and I’ve tried everything) I use the Lekue popcorn maker. It’s silicone, BPA free and is the best.

    Thank you, great ideas. You can make sweet low calorie popcorn by using supermarket sugar free sweetener such as Stevia or Zylotol, I recommend zylotol personally. You’ve rescued movie nights on my diet, good job!.

    This is huge! Do you think apple cider vinegar could be similarly sprayed onto french fries to season before baking? I've seen recipes that suggest Braggs or soy sauce, but I'm trying to cut down on sodium.
