then at the other end of the scale we had the modified touring cars. the most popular class was the stock touring car class running 17.5 turn brushless.
Mark continues with his budget racer journey but I think this might be the last chapter.www.kingofclubs.uk/

The 2nd race was really good. Mark did well to keep the yellow car at bay.
9:46 is frigging hilarious & gut wrenching!!! Talk about The Breaks.
Nice footage of Mark's 2nd final and great commentary by Carl
Thanks Ian
Good job keeping your cool and holding on to 2nd place. Pressure would have gotten to me, and I would have made so many mistakes.
Great result 2nd place Mark well done...
That was awesome fella's!! And beautiful driving Mark you held your nerve so well and frustrated him in to a mistake.. Great stuff! Looking forward to some sunny day with you lads drifting the Muraco and Talion out on the grass..
Cheers Mal thanks for watching
Aww man, marks 2nd race was really enjoyable, good racing. Looks like it was a really fun day or racing! :D
It was a great race!! Very enjoyable
Well done mark i was pole 3rd C main chrome body shell. Had bad luck both finals.
That is racing
Nice driving in the second final mark, very consistent 👍
Fun vid guys. Mark's driving was really good I thought, very smooth, few mistakes, which is everything. Keep doing that! Results will come.
Also, I for one am shocked that it rains in England.
Hahahahahahaha Rain is a thing here
Great video guys. Exciting race to watch at the end there. I managed to find the problem on mine which turned out to be a dodgy sensor wire, just in time for the second final... however, 4 laps in and the steering link popped off. Wasn't my day in the slightest!
We have all had days like those
Great videos as always guys
Cheers Billy
Great drive from you … looking good with the new Schumacher
Great race 2 Mark, well played.
Cheers Marco
First time I've really enjoyed an RC car race end to end....great driving well done mate!
Cheers buddy
Thanks for watching
@@PopalongRC Did you actually finish 2nd? Didn't see your trophy if you did!
@@demmymalik3353 yes, joint 2nd, no trophy as it’s a series😢
Awesome job mark.
Thanks Adrian, it’s definitely got us fired up for iconic👍
@@PopalongRC been tuning my iconic car in the street. Much better than it was.
Looking forward to iconic
To be fair, that yellow car that Marks was facing in the second final looked super planted whereas mark had understeer
Yes that’s true, a few tweaks still needed👍
Great video! Beautiful facility! 🍁
Yeah it really is a great track
Awesome video ! 🔥
Cheers buddy
Great job by Mark holding off the yellow car!
Cheers Michael
Just finished my first Tamiya TT02R kit 👍 we'll see what happens lol. My setup says I'll be in the GT class at a track in South Carolina.
Sounds good 👌🏻 we hope to Popalong to clubs further a field in the years to come
nice racing
🥰
Thanks
Nice driving mark! Well done 👍🏻
Cheers Scott
We need those TP chassis in the US. Touring cars in the US go from cheap Tamiya to X-Ray with little in between.
Yeah team powers are nice chassis perform good and electrics are top notch ps I’m not saying this just because I’m sponsored by them.
We are enjoying the cars
@@PopalongRC great to hear
Well done in that second race, fended off the challenge superbly, I bet your eyes were on stalks and the heart was pounding 🤣 well done 👊
It’s amazing how driving an RC car detached from your body can impact on you physically. Got to love a close race when the adrenaline starts pumping
Good video guys from fellow team powers driver there a good car for racing on a budget keep it up
Cheers buddy
Hey its ok look forward to seeing you do more on the circuit with this
Great racing and I love the commentating over the race footage. That really brings a level of excitement to it. Looks like it was a great time! My next race is this Friday at the local indoor carpet (buggy) track. Picked up a 4PM last week from their consignment cabinet and can't wait to try it. I'm stepping up from a 3PK for the buggy and my drift car was on a Flysky G7P. Crazy thing about the drift car is I could not believe how smooth the steering looked after the swap, plus I swear it made my fast servo faster. Great stuff gents, looking forward to the next as always
Cheers Andy
Hope it goes well
Nice one Mark, you did really well to keep 2nd in that final. Your car still looked a little slow, but it seemed to be handling nicely. Top job!!
Yes Barry I agree, I’m running the Hobbywing G4 motor which apparently isn’t the best, looks like I’ll be spending some money 💰 😂
Those Team Powers/SNRCs are highly underrated😅 Thankfully I've just bought two R3Gs for my return to racing after nearly 20yrs away.
Only discovered what Str/Thr EPA is and applied it to my config in VirtualRC with great results😁 I'm training with it to get myself back up to speed before local clubs winter carpet season starts, when I left RC before in the early 2000s, 19t motors were still rather new (we were running 27t) but everything seemed to leap forward in the earlier days of NiMh cell.
🍻 Learned a lot from you lads!
Awesome keep us posted on your progress
Nice job driving mark,it so hard to remain calm and continue driving correctly when a faster guy is all over ya...Good job
Cheers Walter thanks for commenting
Dam I wanted to see you guys run in the rain because it is cooler to watch.😁
It can be fun but we have blown to many electrics in the wet
@@PopalongRC that's why you buy waterproof electronics and waterproof or you waterproof the receivers.
Letting one go all ways was the best area clearer…. I call it crop dusting..🍻😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣💨💨💨💨
What touring body are most of these cars running?
Wow. Your race scene over in UK always has a huge turnout
We are lucky in that respect
What car were you driving Mark? Was it the FTx Banzai, suped up?
Yakuza 0 brought me here lol
5.33 . thats my arse !
Nice
@@PopalongRC thanks
