Right before Miller is seen on Eros, there is a cameo of the two book authors in this episode. They walk out just before him, they were on the same shuttle as Miller. ;)

Bullet proof couches come in handy, lol. Amos sure has a sixth sense of reading a room. He doesn't even need Martian focus drugs.

Recall that when you see Holden and crew on the the Anubis, that ship had that blue glowing stuff all over it, and Julie was being held captive there. She easily could have touched some of it on her way to the shuttle that she took to Eros.
Fun fact about Kenzo: he does not appear in the books at all. He’s a clever plot device to explain things about what’s going on. In the books, the authors can just explain stuff but in a show, you need characters to say things.

    Great reaction and analysis!
Yes that's the ship Julie was on! Like someone has already said, there are no wasted lines or scenes in this show!
Always loved the scene where Miller and the Rocinante crew meet up!
Chrisjen Avasarala losing her old friend was tough but she is playing hard core because she knows someone is playing a deadly game and she really doesn't know who are the players.
Can't wait for the next one!

Very observatice as always, I really enjoy your reactions and I‘m certain you will like the rest of the show. There are so many details in this show, nearly every shot or sentence that is spoken will give you infos for what‘s coming next or how it will affect characterdecisions. Keep it up! :)

Amos demonstating he is the most intelligent and emotionally well-adjusted adult in the room, with the other crew members following his guiding light.

We're finally done with the character building and dropping clues to the mystery, now the scheiss has hit the ventilator, and it's a downhill bobsled ride to the shocking denouement.

In case you didn't know: the season finale is _not_ the end of book one! Which was a weird decision by the showrunners that I still don't understand. Anyway, it's a good episode, but it may not provide _all_ the answers you want.
The actor who plays Miller's friend Sematimba ("where's my hat?") was one of the main cast members of the Canadian show, _Orphan Black,_ which might be my second favorite SF show, after _The Expanse,_ so I was very happy to see him!

The decision that season 1 does not end with book 1 is easy enough to understand: the showrunner felt that he couldn't do all the work of establishing world and characters, and tell the entire story, in the 10 episodes they were given. Keep in mind that Avasarala and the entire Earth viewpoint wasn't even in book 1.
Later seasons of the show do align with the books, which again was a decision by the showrunner, and not a result of the very brief "cancellation", that people sometimes incorrectly believe responsible.

@@amarokorama Ok, maybe it's not the showrunners I should be blaming, but whoever decided that the first season should only be 10 episodes. I know the show was so expensive that it barely got made, but I can still wish it had been properly funded from the start! :) (And yes, I've read all the books, and know the things they changed for the show.)

Dude. You should do a Belter haircut. :) Great job following what's going on. I guess this and the next episodes were aired together but it's a great cliffhager. More answers coming!

Remember I told you that there are no throwaway lines in The Expanse and that there was relevant info in the dialog between Miller and Diogo the water thief back in 1x02?
It starts playing out in this (and the next) episode.
The matching lines are below. This may be considered as a minor spoiler for next episode. If you've already watched it, you can read on.

"Griegas all gone" Dioge said, and Miller answered: "Nobody abandons their territory to a bunch of street punks".
Sematimba: "The CPM guys are a pack of criminals with batches".

"The lock was forced from the inside" - Ding ding ding, man sieht richtig die gedanklichen Glühbirnen angehen 😅
Und jup, genau dass gleiche habe ich bei der Explosion der Anubis auch gedacht, Seismic Charges aus SW-E2! 😁

Semitembe told Miller that the new CPM force on Eros were a bunch of criminals with badges. Remember that Diogo the water thief had told Miller that the major gangsters had left Ceres, and the big bald guy Kothari had said that spiking Havelock was a "going away present."
Miller told Semitembe, "Julie is all I've got." Then he lost Julie. But Dawes had told Miller, "When you have lost everything, you will find your way home, and it will welcome you."
