  • Hello guys, welcome to my channel and to my reaction to the tenth episode and the season finale of the first season of The Expanse.
Today, Miller, Semi and the Roci crew work their way back to their ship, Chrisjean understands how dangerous the situation is, we find out where we are going next and the bioweapon evolves.

Nice catch that Miller was initially more effected by the radiation because he was a Belter with weaker systems than Earthers.

At the risk of being the umpteenth person to tell you: this is the end of season one, but not the end of _book_ one! The climax of the first part of the story is still a few episodes away!

You've crossed the S1 Finale Line. Hold on to your seat because the ride now gets even more insane than anything you've seen this season! Looking forward to seeing you react to S2! Oh BTW, the one guy def recognized Miller so he knew exactly what was going on when Miller drew his pistol on him in the end.

"Did they want to try if that virus-thing is immune against radiation? Do they want to kill it with radiation?"
Remember what we know so far. Think of the reactor room on the Anubis, or Julie destroying all lights and electronics in her room. Radiation (any kind of) seems to activate it and make it grow.
"How will Miller react when he finds out Amos killed Semi?"
    Good question. ;)
So this was the finale of season 1, but remember it's not the end of book 1 which will happen in episode 2x05. So there will be another "finale" half through season 2. Same for book 2 which will end in the middle of season 3. They shifted a couple of things and had to build up a lot of stuff, so they decided not to stuff all of the first book into 10 episodes. Over all, the tell the story of the first 3 books in the first 3 seasons though.
Looking forward to see you react to the next few episodes (and seasons). Things are only going more crazy from here on. Be ready for some terrible cliffhangers. ;)

    Great reaction!
You're doing a really good job of keeping up with the story!
Season one was pretty good but it's kind of a grind to get through. The show really starts to going going in season two!
Dresden said Julie is going to save us all but he is sacrificing 100k belters just for a damn experiment! You seen what it has evolved into at the end of the episode! I don't think they know what they are dealing with!!
    Can't wait for season two!
    Subscribed for The Expanse!

"Season one was pretty good but it's kind of a grind to get through."
I read this so often and never really understand it. I think season 1 is a fucking masterpiece. It's so dense with information that even after watching it several times you still find hidden stuff in it. Also, especially the first episode is just sooo amazing. I will probably never get it why so many people struggle with the pilot and don't get hooked right away or need several attempts.
When we flew from space through the docks into Ceres right to the Medina, and when the Cant made its first flip&burn I was like: "Boah, this is the SciFi-show I was waiting for my whole life". And I was not wrong with this.
I admit that ep.2 is kinda lame, but all the other episodes of S1 are fantastic imho, building up the mystery, building up the universe, introducing all the factions and characters, but keeping things interesting and thrilling all the time.
I agree that things get even more crazy from here on, but season 1 did an amazing good job bringing us here I think.

@@madux42 Agree, I was hooked on this show right away. Just the look of it, the physics, the music, the intrigue, the characters were all top notch. I never realized that I wasn’t supposed to think that season 1 was all that great until I read a bunch of comments saying it was a little hard to get through. I do have to admit that season 3 is my favorite, though.

@@madux42 never meant to offend you. I personally love every single season and every single episode of this show! The thought I was expressing is that " most" people feel a little overwhelmed by everything thrown at them in such a short period of time. You have to grind through it until you are familiar with the world enough. That's all I was trying to convey.

@@jamesholland5761 Never mind, you didn't offend me at all. I'm just always wondering why so many people have a hard time getting into the show. Even people calling themselves scifi fans. There are tons of them as you can see over on Reddit, and I have really a hard time understanding how you can NOT be hooked right away by a show like this. So many people drop the show even before ep.1 ends or after 2-3 eps, or they needed several attemps, sometimes years to finally get into it. I find this kinda odd.

In addition to Miller possibly being more vulnerable to illness due to his being a belter, I heard in comments and such (so I cannot attest to the veracity of this) that Thomas Jane found the vomiting scenes hilarious, and kept asking the director for more goop (probably condensed soup) to “throw up” while shooting these scenes.

That's definitely a hilarious story, hope it's true. xD
