In the video, I cover the topic, but I would like to explain some things here too. A facelift is called a rhytidectomy, and is a procedure in which sagging or wrinkled skin is cut, lifted, and tightened.
The average cost of a facelift is around $7500, however when you add in all of the other costs, such as anesthesia, hotels, food, nurses, travel, medication, and other miscellaneous expenses, it can be anywhere from $15,000 - $28,000. The facelift is a long procedure, and needs to be done meticulously by a well trained and specialized surgeon. ( My surgeonâs information is down below)
The way you find a surgeon that works for you, is to be meticulous and do your research. Make sure they are board certified in plastic surgery, have extensive fellowships and training in the particular procedure you are looking to do, and that you like the outcomes on the before and afters of their previous patients. Make sure to interview the surgeon too, so that you feel comfortable with them and can follow your gut feeling on whether or not they are right for you.
Also, just remember that with any facelift, you need to make sure it is something you really want to do, and plan for it well ahead of time. This is not something you do on a whim, as there are some possible side effects to be aware of, such as Complications with anesthesia, bleeding, infections, blood clots, scarring, swelling, and issues healing. These are typical possible side effects of any surgery on any part of your body, so it is not something to take lightly.
After a facelift procedure, the recovery is long, and swelling stays for a long time, and discomfort and pain is to be expected. not only will you not feel well for a while, your face will be swollen, bruised, and abnormal looking for typically 4 weeks. you may end up needing to cover it with makeup to feel normal in the beginning. also, It is important to have support from people around you such as family, and friends. I share my experience with this in the video, which I am sure you are currently watching anyways.
Be sure to stay tuned for part 2, where I will reveal my before images, and more, and an upcoming interview with my surgeon. Also be sure to subscribe tot he channel for more videos on cosmetic procedures, cosmetics, makeup, skincare, beauty, and so much more. Thank you, and I love you all.

I know the feeling about being a "bother" for an 8 hour surgery, thankful for a great medical team.
However my surgery is because of a very bad bicycle accident. I hit a huge pothole flew over my handlebar and face forward straight into the sidewalk. I could have died or become a vegetable. My surgeon confirmed this. Thing is, had I hit the side of head (temple) I surely would not be alive or able person today.
My face took the hit (which is said to be the good thing) I suffered a lot. Had my full jaw broken , the 4 mandibles . I had to have my jaw rebooked to insure a better inclusion . I looked like a monster several times (with each surgery) and it was very hard to go through this again, so swollen , just like you are in this video. My surgeries were so I could eat and not just soup for the rest of my life. I went through it all...with a sense of humour as best I could. I'm alive and that is what I am thankful for.
Wish you the best! And I agree humor is quite a good medicine for my soul also.đ»

I had lower jaw surgery a few years ago and I felt like the boredom and feeling of helplessness were way worse than the physical pain
Langeweile?
Have you thought of doing your makeup more youthful lorry? Like a dewy skin korean style? I think it would look bomb on your new face.
I think youâre right. If she used less intense eye makeup I bet sheâd look really young. Her complexion is flawless.
@@ALT-vz3jn Right. And less Botox in her forehead would make her look more natural too
@x x Betcha bottom dollar she's had botox đ€Ł
FYI A facelift doesn't lift the forehead. Watch again đđ

I'm so happy you're a CZcamsr †just everything you bring to the table-- you keep it positive, you keep it real, and you keep it transparent. Thank you
Aww thanks for this sweet comment â€ïž
Your kindness is what really shines through the most about you, Lorry. So happy you are past the recovery period, and feeling and looking great! đ
Agree
I feel bad women think they have no value unless they look young/fertile. Thatâs what society puts in our heads. We just as valuable if not more the older we are. We have had kids, given everything to the people in our lives. Our value is not based on our looks or what we can sacrifice of ourselves at our own expense. Love yourself â€
Ummm yes it is
You look beautiful before and now, WE LOVE YOU ilysm
aww love!
@@LorryHill Omg, you responded! You are a true inspiration to all the young people who are self-conscious about doing these procedures!
Thank you thatâs so nice đđ»
@@LorryHill It's my pleasure ily
You are an angel for being so open and honest about everything. This is so helpful for so many people. You look amazing! Your doctor was worth every penny!
Seriously, thank you for these videos! I had been thinking about plastic surgery for a while but it seems to be such a taboo topic so itâs very refreshing to see someone speak about it so openly as well as sharing your own experiences with the actual process.
I love your boldness and honesty. Especially saying "there's nothing you could say that would make me feel bad about my decision.', and ' I know I'm beautiful". . I know you say you're not a "Dr". But you are a "Dr." of education on plastic surgery.đđđ
I really admire your cadence and openness. Iâm unsure if I would ever touch my body or face but I commend your on your confidence in not only talking about what procedures youâve done especially since you are still healing but also educating us on it. đâšđâš Sending you love & light xx
you look ten years younger than you did 6 months ago!
Aww thank you đđ»
I know right! He did a great job.
@@LorryHill I almost fell out of bed when you said you were 43.
You are so brave and generous to share this journey with us! Thank you! Beautiful inside and out!

Lorry has great energy. You just get this feeling sheâs a good person and pleasant to be around.
that cooling mask looks kind of relaxing and amazing lol I want one
Lol it definitely was !
This is crazy. Thanks for posting. I was considering this but you have cured me of that foolish notionđđ
I think it's so nice of you to share your journey because it can be really scary if people don't know what to expect. But if you know the first days are going to be rough then you can prepare mentally for the recover period.
You said âI love you guysâ in the vid clip of you just hours after surgery. â€ïž So sweet. đ„°
This isnt in my personal realm ( I dont even wear makeup) and I am terrified of surgery but i find your videos very logical, honest and open. Thanks for the facelift knowledge. Glad your healing process seems to be going smoothly
Iâve never even considered plastic surgery but I was so curious to see and hear about the facelift process. Thank you for documenting your journey. You look fabulous.
Omg! This is GOLD!
Thanks for sharing your journey and giving us SO MUCH PRECIOUS INFO!

Thank you â€ïž
You've got a great mother in law!
My mother in law would shame me no end if I did this! I am trying to find a place I can have it done in secret and recover away from the prying eyes of family
I think you don't give yourself enough credit, thank you so much for sharing this journey with us!!!! â€ïž
You're so brave for showing us this. Thanks! Was fun to watch. Onto part 2!
Wow, those before & after photos of your doctorâs work are simply AMAZING. Not just more youthful, but really accentuated the personâs best features.
I know!
I love watching Lorry glow up mentally and physically with every video omg
You look awesome! I told my husband before we got married that the one thing I will be saving money for is a necklift and facelift when I'm 40. 15 years of marriage later, and I've got 4 years to go till 40 now, and I can't wait! The only thing I worry about is looking different or too tight. I'll Be researching like crazy. Thanks for making me feel better about getting this done! You're an amazing woman.
I think the days immediately after, you look surprisingly better than I'd have imagined! Especially after an 8 hour surgery. Thank you for sharing your journey
thank you so much for sharing Lorry, you are awesome for being so vulnerable. I cried watching your recovery, I just wanted to take care of you! im glad you had help. I can't imagine the toll it took on you recovering. You're such a badass! â€ïž
when she said âwhen i was 42â đłđłđł i thought she was like 30
She does not look 30
Me too she looks so beautiful ... I alwaaaays thought that she was in her 30âs ...
Goals
I remember her saying she was like 27 in her past videos....
I thought 35
You're amazing for being so transparent and providing people with such valuable information đ
Thank you so much for doing this. I am going through recovery myself, and if I hadn't watched your videos first I would be freaking out right now. I am so grateful for your honesty and bravery. You have truly helped me manage this process with less fear.
So glad to have helped ! Happy healing love !
