Nice fishing. I once took a Tench on a dry fly while fishing for Rudd, which was a bit of a surprise.
Is quite hard to catch them they are sensitive fish :( they reacting to the line splashing in to the water, and I believe fishing for tench It would be more like stalking becouse it will be taf to catch them from the same spot i believe.

What setup are you using, what a lovely way to fish and not having to lug a lot of gear, nothing wrong in that, I have fly rod and only thought I can fish for trout, but you have inspired me
Thanks mate 👍 with a fly rod you can fish almost all species, I'm hooked on pikefly fishing is just something insane 💥👌 I'm using cheap rod from wish same real and line 👍🎣
Dont forget perch!! Ive had more perch this season with fly gear than with a spinning reel & soft lures.
Yes I did couple of sessions for perch and is a lot funnier to catch perch on a fly than on a spinning rod 👌🎣

Great fishing! That Tinca was a surprise, sure to bend your rod! Great Rainbow at the end, real scrapper.. Have you tried Chub on foam beetles? Its a game of 'keep 'em out of the tree roots"
Thanks mate! I haven't try yet as I don't really know the places to fish for chubs in UK but, I have done it in Lithuania its a game that I like it !!
@@EUAngler Mainly Chub are a river fish, the smaller rivers are easiest for fish location, often in the slack water near fast flowing water.. Dunno whereabouts you are but the river Soar in Leicestershire is a good Chub river, I have had Pike and Chub from the Soar on flies

I've never fished a fly on the canal but I've always fancied giving it a go. Do you have issues with the back cast on a canal?
In some places yes mate it is hard to make a good cast, but is always fun to fish on the canal with fly rod. 👌🎣

My rod set up is cheap one from wish as I was a beginner but still did the job. Rod is 9ft #6, line #6 floating with fluoro carbon leader and bloodworm imitation mate 👌 thanks for watching !:)

What is the difference between using a fly rod here and a pole? You aren't casting, or retrieving, just dangling - embarrassing!
Is that a problem to you ? Than don't watch simple as that 👌 by the way there are the fence behind me and no casting room so when I fish with fly rod sometimes I need to improvise, so you can fish with your pole and I will chose my way to fish 👌🎣
