Thanks for the review Kat! I think they've done this collection so well - it actually fits the vibe of that 90s alt-grunge girl, I definitely had stuff with that lace/butterfly pattern on it.
I’ve always been a quad and single eyeshadow girl. Glad to see quads making more of an appearance in the makeup landscape.
For some reason I read the last line as “makeup lasagna” and I kinda fuck with that
Cognac makes my soul happy. I was in my 20s during the 90s and I was confident enough back then to rock lipsticks this color, MAN. Tempting. Verrrrrry tempting. The box gives me Charmed or even Buffy vibes.
I was 10-20yrs in the 90s & this collection truly recreates the mid 90s aesthetic. I bought Cold Brew and Dreamwalk blush as bright blue based pink blushes give my vampire pale skintone a natural just in from the cold flush. I have multiple blushes in similar shades and it reminds me of my beloved Dior Rosy Glow blush in Pink, which is the only backup product I own (I bought it when it first launched, before TikTok got to it). I wish I had watched your review before buying Cold Brew as I'm not a fan of sheer glittery metallics but I thought it would sell out right away and this is my first Kaleidos purchase; all the previous eyeshadow palettes were too bright, colorful or warm toned for me. I'm surprised the entire collection is still available on their site.

I’ve watched a few videos of this collection & so far Kat’s is the one that’s made me actually want the quads, those sparkly shades looked different to me. I’ve wanted the blushes, lippies and that gorgeous box but wasn’t sure about the quads. Thanks Kat for sharing those brushes, I’ll have to pick them up. I moved a few months ago & I’m still unpacking and now realise I haven’t seen my Ella brushes. Hopefully they’re still in a box that needs unpacking & they haven’t gotten lost 😑

I love bits and pieces of this collection. it's definitely nostalgic (also being a teenager in the 90s) and I would buy the lip clays and the chest. But it's too much wait time and I haven't gotten around to ordering any lip clays. Maybe, after I buy my new Kitchenaid this Saturday and I have money left, I will buy some lip clays. :)
I was also a teenager in the 90s (1980 baby) and this is one of the few 90s nostalgia products/collections that actually stay true to the mid 90s aesthetic. Brands seem to think a brown lipstick with darker brown liner transforms any look into a 90s grunge 🙄

Wow, i love the simple eyelook on you! And these are beautiful eyequats and blushes. What i do think is that non of the lip products match the quats. The quats are cool toned and the lipproducts are very warm toned. Also the lippies doesn't represent the 90's in my opinion. Maybe the concealerlip one?
I really want to buy some of the blushes!! Dang No Buy! When I wanted a true red blush the only one I could find was from NARS, which I love, but I do like that this one has a deeper tone to it.
Ooh that skinship shade of lippie made think it’ll go fabulously with the ud naked honey palette, but that red is lovely
Teenager me loves this aesthetic. It’s quite tempting.
That's why I bought the Cold Brew quad. I was a teenager in the 90s also and even though I have the shades in this quad many times over (I only wear cool tones), I bought it not only to finally try the Kaleidos formula but bc this is one of the few collections that got the mid 90s aesthetic right. Contrary to what many brands think, a brown lipstick doesn't turn every look into 90s grunge 🙄
Fun fact: "skinship" is a term that kind of means like 'friendly touching' (that sounds like a shit description but idk how else to explain it). Actions like hand-holding, hugging, etc. are examples of skinship, which can be platonic or romantic. It's basically skin-to-skin contact. I think the term is a combination of 'skin' and 'relationship,' but I could be wrong.
I was excited for this collection when it was first sneaked, and I still think it's beautiful, but I don't think it would bring anything new or special to my collection. Seeing as I live in the UK, getting it shipped over is just too much of a hassle, for something that isn't really that special. Maybe the next collection will be the one for me :)
i recently started using a satin lavender eyeshadow to mix with my blush when i want a cooler tone and i gotta admit, that fluorescent pink blush kind of intrigues me
and i have to say, your recommendation already got me the mahigany shade in the lip clays and as Soon as i have the spare cash i will be getting cold smoke because the tone is Stunning
Thank you so much for the swatch comparisons of the lip clays! I was looking at them as I love the formula and already habe 8 of their lip clays and the comparisons you showed really helped me consider if I want to pick any of them up in the future.
It would be great if you could do a video comparing and doing lipswatches of all of the kaleidos lip clays! Since they can only be bought online, it's difficult to really imagine them compared
12 year old me was obsessed with this vibe and part of me reaaaally wants to pick up that smeared blush lip color👀
The cold brew eyeshadow palette looks good on you! I ordered both of the palettes, can't wait to get my hands on them. I couldn't decide which blush to buy so I ended up buying none of the blushes lol.

Thanks for the great overview, Kat! I wasn’t planning on buying anything from this collection but you’ve sold me on the Cold Brew shadow palette. I love the Kaleidos formula so I’m happy to have some nude shades with their buttery mattes.
I appreciate the swatch comparisons of the lip products - I think I have a fair number of similar shades from the Flower Punk collection so I’m passing on the Lip Clays.

They do sell the box separately 😉 I love cool tones as I am a cool toned person so I bought the whole thing. Couldn't resist
The brow palette is pretty, but the massive glitter fallout kills it for me. That’s not something I'd want to deal with every day and I can pick up a brown palette without glitter at any drugstore. Packaging has to be practical and this one is especially bad to clean.
I see why Kaleidos did this, but to me it’s not special enough to have shipped halfway across the globe.
Yeah its definitely not a special palette... its three brown mattes and a brown shimmer. It is different for them, but by no means ground breaking. I don't mind glitter fallout, it's not very noticeable and it dusts off fairly easily.
