- Dear friends
In the past one year I’ve posted over 50 videos whereby 90% were food features. I had more or less featured most the street food in PJ, sadly I’m now running out of food to feature. Also in order not to exhaust my limitations I even ventured beyond the Klang Valley for my foodie haunts. Usually the more popular dishes episodes enjoyed better viewership although not always. This episode on leicha isn’t a popular dish therefore I’m not expecting the response to be great. Honestly, I wasn’t a fan of leicha before but having eaten so many stalls for this episode, I realized how healthy and tasty this dish is. Maybe you should look at this dish with an open mind and who knows you might fall in love with it too. Meanwhile, as always please go out and support our street food. Thanks and see you in the next.

i used to subscribe to your channel under Ms Wong before I started a Utube Channel. I love your channel, always very informative. As I said before, your channel is under rated, as much effort is put into each video. Keep going when the going gets tough👍👍
Best feature ever, Mr Lee! I'm in my late 30's and I supa supa love lei cha!!
Congrats wong good choice
Thanks Mr. Lee! I'm your subscriber from the US and enjoy watching your videos since I love Malaysian food. Hopefully one day, I'll visit Malaysia and eat at some of the places you recommend. Take care!
Malaysia awaits u
This dish is very healthy dish and than for sharing is my favorite dish
Many thanks to Mr.Elmo 李文翰 for introducing various Kinds of food in Malaysia 👍 take care of yourself 🙏
擂茶的料切成颗粒状, 吃的时候要慢慢咀嚼, 细品各种香味。
Thank you Elmo. I enjoyed the Leicha video and the various places serving slightly different variation of this famous Hakka staple meal. Good job Elmo and great effort 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽. Tokong you 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼.
Thank you for having a list of the featured outlets at the end. Very useful. As a tourist, I like to take the MRT to some of the places you mentioned in your various videos. I went to Restoran Ho Poh at Puchong to have Lei Cha Ban Mian and Yellow Wine Egg. Near to the largest 7-11, so can 'collect cards' twice at one go.
You r a very adventurous tourist wong
Very good review of Hakka Leicha.....didn`t know so many shop selling this authentic Hakka speciality...!Thanks for the information.
Hi , Thanks for the entertaining video about leicha and really interesting history. I hope u can keep educating us about the history of food. My dad is also a fan of your videos. We have tried several places of restaurants that u have introduce before in your previous videos such as nasi lemak , fish ball noodles, pan mee and also pork noodles. Everything we tried from the restaurants that u have introduce was really good and honestly none of the restaurants that u have introduce taste awful. Based on my preferences, u guys can try the leicha at Rstoran Station 8 which is located in SS2 Chow Yang. The leicha there is also quite good based on my taste. I hope everyone reading the comments or watching the videos live and eat healthy throughout this pandemic.
Thanks for your confidence jayden

可以去Rawang country home 有一间可试下,很不錯的。
Like your videos. Always get to learn the history of the dishes as to how that they came about. 😀
Not a fan of lui cha, but that burger (5:51) got my attention. Where was that? Found it, Simple Garden Cafe. 👍
May you have a very prosperous and long life!! Still looking youthful but as they say you are as young as you feel!! It’s only a number!! I really enjoy your vlogs!! Not tried this dish before although hear about it!! Last known about it was at a display stall inside shopping mall during Chinese New Year a few years ago!! Definitely will have a go next opportunity!! Thanks!!
Wishing you and family Kong Hei Fatt Choi!! 🐯🐯
Thanks eddie
Thanks for featuring Lui Cha. Yeah, not everyone is into it but I am. Besides it's the healthy option for me

I love leicha although I seldom eat it. Guess I should eat more since it is healthy food. Thanks for featuring this Hakka food so that more people know about it. Lastly, please do take care of your health ya, Elmo.

Mr. Lee, thanks for sharing! Do you mind to share with us the famous grill fish/ ikan bakar around klang valley?

Thanks for another excellent food video. But Leicha is not for me. May I suggest you do an episode on Malaysian Nyonya Kuih? Nyonya kuih represents the multi colorful layers of the Malaysian society.

Mr Elmo Lee 中午好
Good afternoon poon
👏👏👏👏👏
The Lui Cha at Hor Poh restaurant in Kepong is not bad too
one of my fave !!! yes , blender and make the vege leaves too fine .. definately not good taste. i prefer authentic way of make this dishes.
OIC didn't know u like healthy food too
LEI CHA is a VERY tedious and laborious dish to make. I am a half Hokkien and Halk Hakka Girl...so i am used to eating lei cha since very young....though VERY few people dont realise that LEI CHA is native only to HOR POH Hakka clan. Other Hakka clans such as TAI PU, MOR YEN, FOOI ZHOU dont have LEI CHA.
There is 1 Hakka speciality restaurant in TAMAN SRI SINAR that serves really good LEI CHA.
Thanks for the info
👍👍👍
Greetings from singapore .加油↖(^ω^)↗
yea new episode again
Thanks Kent although not many watching since the dish is unpopular
bro you look lates 40s-early 50s only....)
As for leicha, how tasty the soup, is the upmost importance to me. I have tasted really awful leicha before, it is so hard to finish the dish, totally unenjoyable. The variety of condiments really gives various taste flavour, it is an art to give a correct mix of flavour with some crunchiness from the peanuts. Leicha is not my favourite food, I just eat it to feel healthy and to remind myself on how it taste like after a long period of avoidance. I think it is an alkaline base food.
Thanks lai very good observation
Kayel, its very tasty if you make it at home. Put in whatever veg you like. Outside Lei cha is very diluted and has no taste. When I make mine I take it like Cambell's Soup. Try it.💕
@@cookwithevevoon2518 Sorry, I don't cook. I would appreciate if you can share your best leicha stall/restaurant in Klang Valley for me try out. I found out most leicha is for lunch, hard to find one in the evening.
一定要介绍这集给我喜欢擂茶的朋友
可惜太少觀眾了
