  • Dear friends
Apologies, because of copyright infringement on soundtrack, I'm re-posting this video.
Usually when I do a foodie haunt of a certain location, I’d do some research of that particular place. Needless to say some history would be injected too but mostly importantly I only locate the better food outlets since my main format is on food recommendation. The best approach is to consult the locals of that particular area since getting recommendations from Google could only get you to commercialized outlets. For this episode I was very fortunate to get a buddy Danny Loke who happens to be a resident of Sri Petaling for 40 years. I’m sure our combined effort of these foodie haunts should get your approval. Please go and support our local street food, be it in Sri Petaling or otherwise. Thanks and see in the next.

The accuracy in explanation and facts cannot be denied especially on the later incidents . Anyway that being said , i used to work around that area back in late 90s.. did not realize that there are so many hidden food gems . The seafood porridge has been been there back then . Parking is an issue , i hope now its better. Will make a trip there & check out the food gems. Thanks Elmo for another great video !

There is a roadside fruit rojak that is very delicious. In front of Public Bank and during 4D draws days, in front of DaMaCai. Most food covered here is from the old shop lots.

Great episode featuring Sri Petaling this time. A few of my all time favorites was also filmed - namely Wat Tan Hor , Congee and a nice hot bowl of noodles with good innards / soup and also the ham Choy soup with ingredients served with a bowl of nice fragrant rice ( or yam rice ). Last but not least - it is difficult to predict the price of food as the price changes frequently due to the changes in the price of the materials for the cooking. Agree. Thank you Elmo for a well done episode again. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽 Yatt Lau !!!

I used to be very impressed with the Kai Woh Pow when they started. Then the quality went down so bad i couldn't finish a pow and the price just wasn't worth it. Maybe they've decided to regain the worthiness of their branding again and you find it nice. Maybe a revisiting is in order. Thanx to your recommendation. I should get back there and try other goodies especially the Choke.

I agree the price is not worth it, nothing special even it looks special. It taste the same, just order a tai pau and a loh mai kai, it is the same thing. Perhaps a mantou plus a loh mai kai will do the same trick too. Fancy looking does not mean it is good, try it for the sake of trying and forget about it.

any food review is incomplete without the price. you only need to state the price at the time you visited the place, regardless of what the price will be in the future. if the price goes up in the future, no one will blame you as it is totally unknown to you at time of filming.
