  • Dear friends
For this episode I’m revisiting the outlets I frequented in the 80s, today we’re be checking out Damansara Kim. Apart from the kopitiams, I used to come to this area a lot cos one of my suppliers is located here. This supplier happened to be a recording studio where I come to supervise voice over recordings. If I work over lunch my supplier would take me to have live seafood opposite his office but if I work late, they’d bring me to Online pub for a pint of two. LOL, Also, I was treated for a mild stroke at KPJ. So Damansara Kim does give me fond memories. Thanks, and see you in the next.

Have been following your video for some time. Many Thnx.
Your recent visits to kopitiam is certainly interesting but I find your thumbs up to nearly every stall in a kopitiam dilutes your judgement value..
    Just my observation. Cheers

A very good introduction from Hypermarkets to Emporiums and the initial sundry shops evolution. Nowadays - I guessed it has evolved to doing your payment yourself after shopping groceries at larger supermarkets. Great continuation on ELMO’s storyline for this epidode. Well done 👍🏽 and I learn something new too on how a wrong spelling has become a well known District - Damansara. In this episode - the Wantan mee caught my attention as it not only fulfills it’s tastiness - but also on its cleanliness. Another thing that really hits is that ‘Feng Shui Lau Lau Chuen’ ( I think in English it’s translated into ‘ what goes up must come down & vice Versa ). Thank you Elmo for a great episode and I think when we were young - we also like a good toy present from Grandma and Grandpa. In the older days in Ipoh - there’s a shop named Kok Choong Kee that sells all sorts of toys for children. DejaVu indeed. Yatt Lau 👍🏽and Mou Tak Deng 👍🏽 episode from Elmo 👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽

Elmo: I love fish head noodle too. There is 1 stall in Taman Gembira, old klang road that serves very good fish head noodle. Restoran Choy Kei. So far, the best fish head noodle I have ever tried.
Another fish head noodle which is quite special and received Michelin award is in Cheras... went for it twice, so far very satisfying. The shop name is Hai Kah Lang Seafood Noodle and Fish Head Noodle

The kolo mee doesn't look appetizing to me (to me only) as I am sick of it during my stay in Kuching . I found it nothing to shout about. All my friends who are from KL visited me in Kuching, all asked me the same question, how can you survive here ? I said I hardly eat kolo mee here ... Moreover the noodle she is using is of a different type than in Sarawak . I suspect the kolo mee sellers in Kuching all are getting their supply from the same manufacturer, same design of plastic
