I feel like the leaks help the game because it builds up anticipation. Most the time I’m the only one of my friends that plays a game that actually notices this stuff so I’m sure there’s an abundance of players that don’t even know what’s coming unless they’re absolutely nerds like me.

Apex has changed soooo much since it came out from simple things like the ui to big changes like legends and gameplay. It's pretty impressive to see how far it has come I just hope that they would listen to the player base a little more and try to keep the game healthy instead of trying to pull every cent from us.

Hi, I missed the first weeks off the breakout challenges anybody, so I missed the free gifts, can I just just gift random skins or cheap stuffs to get that gift challenge done?, or has to be battle pass only?
Also; in the end of the trailer alter is seen in a fractured world almost as if she caused a rift to form between worlds. Similar to that one multiverse dr strange and spider man movie. That would explain why a different Olympus crashed into broken moon. She kept going from dimension to dimension so much it caused a rift that led to Olympus just appearing at broken moon, crashing into it.
Don’t forget how it could possibly effect the already existing rift in olympus

The joke about her being a futbol player is part of her story though. One way you could interpret her backstory is that she probably used her abilities to traverse through time and dimensions to either see those famous stories or replace the person in those stories. For example; the born from stone trying to attain immortality bit is completely the story of the journey to the west or the monkey king. She travels dimensions so it wouldn’t be far off the mark to think she lost her mind in the process going from dimension to dimension.

That beginning clip with Horizon is what I imagine people will be doing with Alter. Scan, and then Alter drops them from the 2nd floor into the bottom to get gased and 3v1ed. A more reliable teleport capture that they can't escape.

If devs are okay with it then I think leaks are fine, but if the company takes too long releasing whatever then unauthorized leaks are okay
They're so out of touch with their community, leaks create hype, expectation and positive interest
The amount of friends who have left apex "For good this time" who then ask me what's coming next season, i tell them "A free r99 reactive, probably akimbo p20 and mozam, updates to broken moon etc."
And they get interested enough to play once again after 1 full season just to warm up and be ready for the launch of the next season, if leaks weren't a thing I wouldn't be able to tell them any of this and therefore they wouldn't give a damn about the game anymore.

I like most leaks to be honest. Maybe trailers can hold off but upcoming skins and sales I like to know about. Arc prices are insane so gotta budget like a month in advance
Mostly maps in Apex my teammates and my friends keep on getting third-party
I honestly enjoy the leaks. Except I'd wish they'd make more use of the red tokens.. I still think all the recolor should've been redeemable by using red tokens. But that's EA for you!

Most of the time in past leaks would make me excited for what's coming in future, like new events, skins etc. But I understand why devs don't want them in game so I wouldn't be surprised if they start going after leakers

Im pissed off the Revelations recolor for Revenant is in a 3000 coin bundle instead of being baught with legend tokens like a regular recolor. I only crafted the Revelations skin so i cud get the recolor
Leaks are important, especially so when it comes to Apex. They don't update the community on anything, well, almost anything. They do love telling us about their future store sales.

There will be people, no matter what that will leak major things for upcoming seasons. It's more fun to not really see/ look for leaks, so there are surprises for the future of the game.

So is Alter a cyborg or simulacrum? Her voice is layered and\or modified in the trailer. Almost mechanical at times...
The thing is, I don’t think EA/Respawn hype their own game much anymore so the leaks help keep players invested. Remember broken ghost and the Crypto in game teasers we used to get, that was peak hype right there but now the hype efforts just seem lack-luster and lazy.
Some leaks do get me excited to play new content but i do feel like some cause more harm than good

I hate how respawn keeps holding off on content, have always said this game had content to last 5 years but they cut it in half to make it the 10 years they wanted, they cut play testers which makes things longer to come out, the new map was supposed to be here last season but noooooo we gotta wait till next next season

I personally don’t think leaks are alright for the simple basis of the player base.
A lot of people go to the internet to satisfy they’re curiosity for what’s to come to get an edge above others, so when that becomes their main source of information down the pipeline, they feel privileged, and anyone challenging that privilege, say, the devs changing the script a little or something not being what the player base expected, they feel betrayed and take it out on the wrong people.
Not saying any dev/Respawn is perfect, but they are human, and I feel like leaks promote a sense of negligence towards that fact, and kills anticipation towards the game, therefore, overall view.
Just me though.
The only leaks I ever look at are leaks regarding upcoming skins because it helps me save up crafting materials for when I really wanna get something.
Don't care for the other kinds of leaks tbh. I avoid them.
Being around for the Rev Reborn stuff and steering away from leaks resulted in such a fun experience. It sucks to think some people had it spoiled.

Leaks are actually pretty healthy for apex. Its not like people are leaking the entire story line of a campaign oriented game, and as a result people dont play it cause they seen it already. People see leaks, get hype and want to play upcoming content even more. Thats why teasers exist. Lets be real without leaks nobody would know why we should be getting hyped about a mahjong piece falling out of a wraith portal. Without context that could mean anything. "IS MAHJONG COMING TO APEX LEGENDS?? IS THE NEW LEGENDS ABILITIES THROWING BOARD PIECES??"
I will say it again, versioning in code is not that hard for Respawn to be shipping future code

They’re fools. Leaks generate buzz within the community and to extent outside as well. If the leaks get negative responses they can try to do damage control like that terrible recolor event

Honestly, at this point… it’s just karma. This is what EA gets for laying off so many people when they didn’t have to. They just got super greedy and wanted to save a penny.

I wish they were pranking us with all of these leaks, it would be cool to have another Revenant situation and they throw a curve ball at us where Alter isn’t the next legend. They really need to update their servers and just eliminate the leaks. I enjoy being surprised.
