No sir. The issues are with the phones. When i did tge video it was perfect with my S6. The S8 i now have had to update the radio software for Android 7.0 now 8.0 is out and causing similar issues mostly with Samsung. And 9.0 is in Beta so the issue is not with the radio but the constant version updates on android. I still have my S6 and that radio is near 2 years ond and works perfect with my S6 Edge plus.

I’ve tried on several occasions to contact Soundstream to look at purchasing this item. I am only able to get a recording that loops with no action regardless which selection I choose. Are they still in business?
Make sure you have accessed developer mode and have usb debugging on. Make sure you have paired Bluetooth. If you can not get it to work make sure the cable is a data cable not a charge only cable. If all of that is a go and still nothing download Autolink APP from app store. It's designed to work with android 7 and earlier it's not proven to work on all Android 8 models as of yet. This app is the closest thing I have for a fix
Did you also turn on USB debugging from developer options? And some phones work with a seccondary app. Soundstrem tech was telling me about it. You may want to call them if you can not get it to work. Ill also dig into it and find out.
explain just what cables are needed to mirror Android Showbox anything streaming to that screen I wanna get this I gave up on my 500$ pioneer nex unit for that purpose so what's the settings needed to mirror video or screen to the unit? Essentially I wanna use my phone data streaming and cast It to the sound streaming device . My nex required a dongle that needed wifi to work but it didn't cast at all.
So mine connects to.phone but the sexond part says failed to initialize to mob? Got bebug turn on and bluetooth is is my phone i got a note 8 or is it the stereo

marrlowepps it has to have the updated android 7.0 update from Soundstreams. If you have 1st version software must be updated. The update is available on their website under support.
Id call soundstream i sold my car with that radio. New radios like the kenwood and pioneer flag ships have wireless screen mirroring so thats the way I'd lean as ut should eleviate the need for constant firmware updates
JB BESLER no i work for Vickers AV and i own a shop called Audio Dreams we usually sell Pioneer, Kenwood, and Alpine. Its rare to have a off brand of this quality.
ZIGGY STARDUST what makes it relevant is the two gigantic DD Boob size vents above the radio that this install was able to still open up and work using both screens. Thanks for watching however.

Yes but they sell to dealers and with covid that number may just not be in play. Where are you located?

Aaron Hoehing i didnt try showbox but it should work showbox with your USB cable. No extra cables needed
It works with almost everything I try showbox torque app haven't try Netflix but am gonna lol

How did you get the SWC to work? I have 08 Silverado ltz w/ bose and could not retain the steering controls using the PAC module
Ezra Ivey hook the wire labeled IR its not IR its swc as a kenwood.
James Simpson I did, I hooked it to the wire coming out the swc port from the PAC that comes out right beside the AUX plug, is that right?

Cesar Baca not sure bc both installs are where the top is as far back as it will go due to fitment. However the bottom yes i know it does.
