Did it affect your rearview camera?
No it integrates just like a factory if you have an OEM camera. My camera is aftermarket anyway.

Yes it does as I’ve stated it’s a few years old now and I sold the car a while ago. I’m not sure how the updates will have effected new radio options since my video

This was a inside joke because another dealer kept putting these in a upfire box in the back of a corvette. The glue used on the cone is a rubberized cement and he kept returning them as blown because the cones would seperate in extreme heat. It wouldn’t make sense if you weren’t in the know. This entire post was a joke. I’m not even really sure why I posted this video TBH 😂

You should look up SDK enclosures as he did the math on this box spec for the outcome we were looking for. I’m sorry you are wrong and if you were part of our competition scene back then a demo would have proved that as well. This was in a Team SDK build

Make sure Epsilon is going to continue supporting updates. The downside is when a phones security is updated the mirroring stops working. Wireless carplay with screen mirroring built in May be a better solution these days. Or run a radio with HDMI and you can wire a Roku or Apple TV into it as well.

The video is old. I had a newer radio work with my 8 I’m sure as long as software is updated it will work up to a 10 minimum. Good question for Epsilon
You didn't play or talk about how the music sounds.
One of the only good sounding Soundstream radios ever. However it’s old and antiquated now. I’m not even sure this model is even current any longer.
How long did it last
Was still working when I sold the car. Last I knew of customer sold the car and had this in his suburban. It still works.
i have a cheap head unit doesn't have the crossover feature but i have some expensive apline door speakers i just installed would this head unit make them sound better?
Hey if you still have it how has it been? I am looking for a radio because I want something different then my double din JVC and thinking of this or either a single din Flip out and wanna know how this one has held up.
I sold the car its still working that i know of. Its i its 3rd vehicle now but i no longer have this radio. The linkswell product is more like what i want now bc it has carplay and android as well as internet capabilities. I use the Kenwood 9906XR in my veloster nd it does Screen Mirror as well. This unit needs an update too often to keep up. It was a great concept but epsilons tech support is slow to fix update issues.

Image dynamics XS65 they are now discontinued and it’s sad. One of the best SQL speakers ever done. These were designed to complement the horns and Eric Stevens left and took the horn patents with him. Closest competition now is Stevens Audio

Just installed this radio into my first car and added a camera do you have an idea so add the backup lines ?
Kenwood has lines built in but most cameras also have lines. They are pretty useless as they are not calibrated like OEM just a generalized idea of distance. Check your camera and see if it has a white and green wire loop that either needs cut or put together near the camera itself to add the lines. Echomaster, Rydeen, AIS and most other universal cameras come with lines.
How do you wire the stereo for steering wheel controls?
On the older models like mine you hook up the wire listed IR and it programs as a kenwood. Newer models may be pioneer other with pac. Seems Epsilon keeps changing SWC protocols with new radio models
Why i don't have rear camera assistant lines?
Most German cars the lines are built into the radio and use the vehicles canbus system to do the guide lines. Most aftermarket cameras have stationary lines and there are a few dynamic line cameras with gyros built into the cams like the AIS UDLCAM AISinterface.com

Soundstream is in no way off brand.
I’m radios they are. The big 5 is JVC Kenwood Sony Alpine and Pioneer Soundstream was a US made Amplifier company went main stream. The VR624B is made in China and rebadged for lines like DS18 etc just a different boot up screen.

Soundstream isn't off brand. They've been around for years. Their amps and subs are some of the best.. I still have a 1500 watt amp that I've had for over a decade.
They actually use to be a great brand 20 years ago. Around 10-15 years ago they turned to shit
I realize that this car has an automatic, but how far does the bottom screen come out towards the shifter? I have a 2005 Mustang 5 speed and wonder if it would be in the way in 1st, 3rd and 5th gears? Thanks

The phone updates make mirroring work and then not work after every phone upgrade I’d recommend using a radio like the Kenwood DDX9707 or 9907XR with WiFi the screen casting is wireless and works better with phone updates
