The Fuji TX-1 looks interesting. The panoramas you shot are amazing. Sometimes I need a wide viewing angle but I don't need extra hight. This camera is nice tool.
Very nice collection! I’ve got the Pentax 645 & Hasselblad xPan too, both are excellent! But my favorite, hands down, is my Nikon F3. IMO it’s definitely one of the best .35 mm f1.4 film camera made! Great video, oh, and you can never have enough cameras 🤣
I like what you said about the Mamiya 7 and Leica cameras. That panoramic camera is underrated; great photos, btw. Hey, if it’s a collection that you can afford, why not have it? It’s enriching your life and bringing you tons of joy. I own a few as well-some I use for work and some I use for personal projects.
Those portraits were insane!!! I am ALL ABOUT the waist level finder vibe, though I don't shoot medium format. I have a Canon F-1 WLF attachment but it just doesn't hit the same
I have a Pentax 645N. Loading 120 film is fun, but the moment I hit the fire button, music to my ears as the motor is driving the first exposure into place. Although I may love this noise, it’s the clap of the shutter that I adore, it startles a lot of people. 🤣
If you want a 67 range finder camera with a lens that has more character than the Mamiya 7(s), 1 stop faster, more compactness and fully mechanical, go try the Makina 67. You'll be blown away by the handling and the images that it can produce. (And I'm already owning the cameras in this video, so had the time in the last 15 years to test them head to head, they are all fantastic and I have the same desease I want them all)
As an owner of two Hasselblad H1 cameras with film backs, just chiming in to say that you actually don't need to align up the arrows to the notches when loading the film. When loading just push the tab through the slot so it barely tucks in when you roll it, and you're safe to load the magazine. The film back has a sensor that detects the film and "knows" when to stop. Try loading a dummy roll with no film and and all that's going to happen is you will get an error message and the camera will load the whole roll onto the other spool because it won't see the film. I would also argue that the camera has a really good focus system for it's age (which you point out) I've never had issues with it, granted it only has one focusing point so if you focus on an eyeball and then recompose it will go out of focus (given shallow DOF with lenses such as the 80mm f2.8 and 100mm f2.2). When shooting close-up portraits i.e. chest up, head shot, don't rely on the AF just manual focus. The focusing screen is really bright and with the diopter adjusted 90x Prism finder I've never had issues. Also that 100mm f2.2 lens, SO GOOD (chef's kiss) better than the Contax 80mm f2 (in my opinion) just glad it's not an overly used/hyped lens. One other correction is that the H1 one doesn't use Zeiss glass. The lenses are also manufactured by Fujifilm but to Hasselblad's specifications. At the time Zeiss didn't have/manufacture glass sharp enough for Hasselblad's standards so they used Fujifilm. You're right about the film back, they're very expensive, but once you find one you can acquire the rest of the pieces at a very reasonable price, in fact you should be able to piece a whole H1/H2 for under the asking price of a Contax 645 with money left over for film/developing. The Hasselblad H is my system of choice, personally 645 is a good balance between film price and quality (for me) hopefully this is helpful to anyone out there.
OH dang! I didn't know about the rolling technique! I'll have to try that out the next time. Way to go, Hasselblad. Also, thank you for the correction. I kinda assumed it was Zeiss glass cuz the V system had it for so long. The H1 is so well built.

Lovely collection. The Mamiya 7 80mm lens is very sharp indeed, but the rendering is a bit soulless compared to my Hasselblad and Rolleiflex lenses, particular for B&W. The tones and intrinsic contrast on the Zeiss lenses are way more pleasing to my eyes.
wouldn't it be nice though, to have a camera that's 67, that can close focus, that has a built in light meter, and shallow glass, and is easily hand holdable because of it's ergonomics. there's only one camera I can think of that has all that,... and you don't have it yet. damn. that sucks.

The MP is hands down a much more superior experience than the M6. MUCH better mechanics. A better viewfinder.
SHEEEESHHHH
can I get a SHHHHHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSHHHHHH
Damn dude. You could buy a Subaru Crosstrek with just those cameras.
Pretty dreamy cameras, sure is a LOT of money in that collection, you could like buy a brand new car with all that money😂😂 but who needs a fancy car when you can own fancy cameras😍
Tell me about it...It's nice tho cuz these cameras actually make me money versus a car that just depreciates and sucks up money...but then again, nobody needs this much
@@whoschrischu yes thats very true! With a car you for the most part will lose money, unless its like an old vintage car maybe. So its not a bad investment at all when you think about it, if you get them for a good price 😄👌🏻
Sad that your Hasselblad 500cm is gone from the collection :(
yeah it's p sad. I really did like that camera. I almost had no complaints. It was just too similar of an experience to my RZ
earlyyyy!
EARLY GANG
I want that TX-1/XPan sooooooo bad
imagine having an XPAn for weddings. My goodness.
@@whoschrischu exactly… if I made more money from CZcams videos, I’d 100% second shoot a wedding all on XPan and it’d be glorious
Muh, money!
Expensive addiction but definitely worth every penny
you freaking bet
Nobody gonna talk about the good joke -> putting his cameras in the basement with his children!! :))))
Oh shit wait maybe I need to one of those cameras too…
I mean...I ain;t gonna say no :)
@@whoschrischu listing my kidneys on the web now in exchange for the xpan
Heart this mann, it's my birthdayy hahahaha
AY HAPPY BIRTHDAY
This dude only has one kidney for sure
The fact that you have the TX-1 and dont use it huts. If I could afford one, its all Id ever use.
oh I do use it! maybe not as much as I'd like, but I do enjoy the images
Double fisting M6's is wild bruh. Would love to see you do a video doing portraits with a Noctilux or Canon dream lens!
DUBBLE FISTING
Oh you’re gonna love the next video :)
I'd agree that the Mamiya lenses are clinically sharp. It doesn't really have character.
I heard them Zeiss bois are reaaaaallly nice
wouldn't it be nice though, to have a camera that's 67, that can close focus, that has a built in light meter, and shallow glass, and is easily hand holdable because of it's ergonomics. there's only one camera I can think of that has all that,... and you don't have it yet. damn. that sucks.
What camera is that?
@@iironic Pentax 67 🤤 i’ve been debating it for so so long.
@@mikifrances-correia1328 Oh yes. Love my Pentax 67, although it doesn't do close focus unless you get extension tubes.

I feel like I'm forgetting something.
I don't know I repair them and use the shit out of them in harsh environments, as much as I'd like a really expensive camera I can't justify it.
good. Lord. that is a lot of cameras.
What glass do you have on the M6s?
You're so right about the toxic Leica community that exists. Not all Leica owners are like that, but there are trolls under every bridge.
I have the Voigtlander 28mm Ultron ASPH II, the Elmarit 21mm, and a new video coming soon on the 3rd lens I recently acquired

It’s said that you have to have a full beard to properly use a Leica.
I’ve been to camera stores that don’t have this good of collections
I'm going to staple this comment to the front door of every Leica store
