Since you’ve got quite a few trucks under you, I’m just wondering if you’ve got some sort of fleet maintenance program? And if so what does it consist of? Cause your trucks seem to last a good long while
When you start the truck the engine brake resets so it won't ever be on automatically...you'd need to push the button and activate it when you start the truck. Just FYI
I had a '15 and now a '18 3500. When a trailer is connected, it will remember your settings. The back up sensors don't beep and if you had the exhaust brake on it stays on. When no trailer connected, it resets to off.
@@lance9927 yes sir it can be done. You just have to go around corners a little slower. Is it ideal not really. But if you have a good amount of experience it's not so bad. If you have a choice go dually with a 3 car. But if not you can do it.
@@lance9927 no sir they didn't. You just have to watch your axle weight. Most of the time when they are out I'd be emtpy heading for the yard. That's all I can say on here haha.
@@lance9927 If you run the 9pm till 6am gap DOT doesnt want to work. They are just waking or fixing to get off shift. From 2 or 3 am theres no troopers out. Little secret most dont know.
It’s sad that sales and repair are are two different entities and means of income at a dealership. You’ve bought many trucks I’m sure at the same location and in my personal experience I worked at a dealer early on in my life and the owners were deeply involved there as well they wouldn’t let something like this carry on they did things about problems like this, the customer was the ultimate importance and the return customer was why businesses were in business for 75 years. (That was in 1995)
Ya, most dealers are larger now and dont care. I bought my truck from Keating auto group. Some famous viper road course driver. He doesnt give a fuck. Gone back to the dealer for service was given a $800 bill. All for a couple fuel filters and oil change. Now i go up the road for $250. Its sad. Also when buying my new truck Sales perosn saidnit be ready for pickup sat morning. The service department didnt have it done. Argued it be monday. They also put a scratch in my tailgate..
Literally traded my 2017 2500 for my 2018 3500 for dealership problems. (wanted a 3500 anyways and went to a seperate dealer for a good deal), wont be visiting again.
@@MrSamsamsammy Yep, out done the patrol units with the same engine. I had a 1983 D150 stepside 318 not the littlenred express version. Sucker liked to light up the tires with a little throttle. Probably the only truck that acually scared me.
Stavks are stupid. Youll learn real quick how pointless, obnoxious, and fuel burning they are. Especially in a truck used for commercial use. Youll be asking to be pulled over all the time especially for Emissions.
I put Ram in my fleet in 2010 and they've been WAY better than when I had Ford and GM. All the trucks were good, but the Ram has done so much better, easier to perform maintenance and all in all they take the abuse my guys dish out. The crew also says the Ram has been more comfortable to drive long distances.
I just bought my new ram with the aisin. I have about 1000 miles on it. I hooked up a gooseneck to it and it shifted really rough in the lower gears. The truck just starts shaking. I shifted it manually and found that it was in 3rd gear. Has this ever happened to you?
Should I take it back to the dealership? Like I said. It’s only in the lower gears at first when I’m getting up and going. It’s starts bogging and truck bed starts like moving up and down
@@kevinromero4682 Id Talk to an actual mechanic on it. See what he says. Just notify him its new and youll take it to the dealer but want someone that knows about the damn things. Never have and never will trust a dealer
Great review and content! May The Lord Bless you too.
Looking forward to your air bag v air suspension video
My buddy just rolled over 200k and the rear end sounds like a Barrell of bolts. He said they quoted him $2300.

where is your trailer brake controller ?
Is it worth starting with a single drive axle then dually? For hot shot

Do a video on airbags Firestone vs Air life or what do you use
My 2012 ram 3500 srw needed new bearings at 75000. It's pulled a 3 car wedge since new.
you can pull a 3 car wedge with a single rear wheel truck? i wanted to do that but thought itd be way too much weight for a single rear wheel axle

What about the air bags
Do you use any additives in your oil and diesel to help maintain your fluids clean and injectors in good shape?? Thx and have a good one
Regular Schaeffer's engine oil and Schaeffer's fuel treatment sometimes
Why did you check if exhaust brake was off during cold start?
Andrew schlueter I was gonna ask the same question
Dont like it kicking on right off the bat. I like to give it couple min to warm up the gaskets.
I had a 15 2500 they rebuilt my rear end 5 times in a row before they actually put a new rearend in it
Chrysler is buying my 17 ram back after 3 times at dealer for aisin transmission issues.
MrErichonda30 a Chrysler having a bad tranny???? I’ve never heard of such a thing 😂😂
which air bags do you use?
Factory
Can you put air bags on a truck that has a 6 inch lift kit?
Yep.
@@pddieselpower Awesome! Please share a link to the ones you recommend. Thanks!
Your diff cover will cause your differential to go bad and all other problems with rear axles.

Pumpkin blumpkin ???
Hi what’s the trailer length there

You have sharp looking trucks. I love dodge trucks, always have. Some dual chrome diesel stacks would look good on your trucks.
It's a work truck.. I bet your the type of guy to put smoke stacks on a gas..
No, not on a gasser although it does look good on the Lil red express.
Donald Swink I was about to mention the little red express. Fastest production vehicle in those years it was made

You need to get rid of that flat back . Causes allot of airiation in the oil and over working of the oil
