Great info. Thanks. Question. I’m in the market for a 1 ton single rear wheel diesel. I am looking at a 18’ Silverado 3500 LTZ srw with the Duramax/Allison combo. The thing is they want 61K + associated fees. That’s a lot of dough. So I’m looking at Ram now (comparable truck, the 6.7 Cummins with the AISIN transmission. Any reason to go with the Chevy? Can I get a comparable Ram for less money? It will be a daily driver and I may get a boat in the rear future. Basically, I won’t be pulling like you do. I’ll be pulling a small boat but still want the diesel for the mileage, torque, longevity and fun factor. Thoughts? What trim from Ram will get me the color matched bumpers, leather seats, backup cam? There’s a ton of trim levels. I don’t need a limited but want what I mentioned above. Also, I want an actually shifter not the rotary knob. And I want a key, not the push button. Is that possible in an 18? What should I be looking at. Thanks. (Looking to be under 60K)

I remember hearing years ago, “dodges suck but the Cummins is great” are the bodies, frame etc solid now? From your videos they seem like well built reliable trucks. Do you think they are all around more reliable than HD GM trucks? And how much rougher of a ride are they? Will I be annoyed driving it daily? Or is it not that big of a deal?

      I have a GM 2500 Chevy
I love it but it comes with trade offs. No solid front end but for a daily driver that has actually been a good thing for me. The Allison has been great and the truck has been great...but there are others who disagree. Really it comes down to preference. Test drive all of them. The AISIN is solid and you can’t go wrong. All have issues with emissions so take them for a drive.
If you think they are equal then go with whatever is cheaper for you man.

Do you have any tips for lowering the temperature of the 15/16 trucks. Or should it even be worried about? Mine will hit 210 coolant then the fan will bring it back under 200 then. That's only on hot days towing , where it's winter it hasn't been much of a problem. Would love to hear your input on the matter.

Can you do a video about any warranty issues with your trucks? I just watched a series of videos from Cotontop3 and his nightmare with a 2016 with the Aisin and wiring harness.
