I have put 480,000 on my 15 Cab-Chassis and my turbo-actuater is just now going out. I have not replaced anything on her. Everything is stock from factory. Great trucks! I do replace all fluids and filters every 100,000.

By the looks of your yard, Big Tex trailers apparently serve you well. I have been looking at 20'+ low deck GN equipment trailers to tow cab tractor with loader and backhoe.

Love your videos. Just sold my 2014 cab and chassis four door with 158K for $27,000. It never was driven hard, Towed light, and never driven over 80 MPH. The 2022 is now about 65K. Pretty similar to the 2014, but it has safety group and the carbon motor. 6 speed Aissen, like the 2014. The dealership had said, "Might want to put ball joints on it." The other mechanic said, "A micrometer can't even measure any play on the ball joints-just drive it." I always sell my trucks at 150K AND I FEEL LIKE THEY HAVE TONS OF LIFE LEFT IN THEM. Sorry cap lock there. Sometimes the new trucks I get seem not as good as the old. Truck number 6 white 4 by 4 hauler cab and chassis. Love the slower, detuned feel. It feels like it lasts longer that way...

This video gave me relief my friend. I have a 5500 ram service truck has a lot of weight. I thought the same thing like this thing a piece of junk. It lost some specific parts recently and I still didn’t notice any fricken difference. So I started doing research and found the the CC trucks are derated from factory and have more torque so it makes a lot of sense now. Made add a 100 horse tune we’ll see. Any advice is appreciated and adding the tune.

I guess I should train Paul`s drivers. I never driver over 60 in my 05 F350 as it has 4,30 gears. It is built for pulling not for speed. This F350 is a factory Ford Tow Boss. I had never heard of a Tow Boss until I purchased this truck. But I am not afraid of a Dodge Ram 3500 dually. I purchased one with 370.000 miles on it to replace the F350 if the 6.0 Powerstroke fails. I think it is a better investment to put money in the Dodge. And I will call it a Dodge since it has a Dodge emblem on the dash. It is a 2012 last year without DEF that is why I purchased it. It is also a Max Tow package truck with 4.10 gears. Some day I will find some freight to haul with it. I am shut down for the winter. I only haul wine and brewery equipment. Because that is paying about a 100 dollars an hour to haul. Another nice video Paul.

Also Geno's garage has an actuator that is all-metal; and you can't find a bad review of it online. It is made in the USA, in Georgia I think. I can put one on in twenty minutes by taking off the passenger side wheel. $899 bucks.

Guys with other brand trucks tend to get butt-hurt over Dodge / Ram trucks for some reason. I purchased a 99 2500 4x4 AT 3:73 new, traded at 251k miles (mostly towing) and was running strong when I traded. Then a new 2005 3500 4x4 dually 4:10 AT, same thing when I traded at 207k miles last year for a 2018 3500 dually Limited with Aisin and HO 6.7. Both 99 and 05 trucks remained stock. Both trucks needed fuel pumps around 150k+ miles, the 99 needed front wheel bearings around 170k miles but neither truck needed any front end work. Learned on my 99 to run only Mopar brake pads, it ate up all other pads. My 2005 dually got Mopar pads only, changed them a few months prior to trading the truck, the Mopar pads had 71k miles on them. Neither truck had engine, trans or drivetrain problems. Ford and Chevy / GM have nice trucks, I stick with Ram because I have owned 3 in the last 20 years, they are built to tow.

@@tomfrantz - Only problem I had with either truck heat/AC was the actuated doors in plenum in the 2005 3500. But the heat and AC worked great.
My other vehicle is a High Country Tahoe, the Ram interior is as nice as the Tahoe and the Ram seats are better leather and more comfortable on long trips. I have the 3500 4x4 dually Limited, crew cab long bed, HO 6.7 with aisin trans. I removed the junk Nexen tires and put on Cooper tires, also added a set of Centramatic wheel balancers (because many tire shops struggle to balance offset dually wheels). Everyone that rides in the Ram are amazed at how well it rides. I make trips from NC to Florida keys towing a bay boat, 900 mile trip one way, I would rather drive the Ram than the High Country Tahoe. And of course, a 24' bay boat with T-top, I don't feel it behind the truck.

@@chrism2042 Tahoe was one of the nicest rides ever. Good comparison then. My Ram drove nice; 2007, 2014-looking forward to 2022 cab and chassis single axle. I forgot about dually wheel balancing... Good to hear about Cooper. I always use transform takeoffs-even thought they are not great on NW ice and snow. I use some off brand studded in winter.

Toyota trucks last a long time, if you don't use it as a truck. It doesn't matter what brand truck you have if you treat a gas truck the way diesel pickups are treated the gas truck won't last long at all and will have lots of problems we'll before the engine goes, diesel on the other hand can take the crap you give it while towing heavy loads while getting MUCH better MPG and last many hundred thousand miles.
Toyota is a reliable truck but don't compare it to ANY diesel, its like a baby and a pro wrestler go at it. what do you think is gonna happen?

@@repairvehicle Im not comparing tundra to ram Im saying not to compare gas engine to diesel. I know its off topic.
I believe they last a million miles(toyota) But I don't believe they go anywhere near that if used to tow things.
Avg. load and Avg. HP output on an engine directly effects life. no regular car/pickup engine will last long at all if kept near its peak HP. Towing things puts more a load on the engine which requires more hp to the wheels which reduces life. diesels can handle heavy loads and still last a million miles.
Im not dissing toyota, its opposite, any gas engine that can last a million miles stock is a good engine. That being said the amount of toyota vehicles breaking a million miles compared to any diesel brand truck breaking a million miles is very low. Now toyota gas compared to another gas brand pickup that pretty high. that also being said there are a LOT more ford/ram/chevy gas pickups being used for work trucks than toyota so of course toyota is going to look better
