    Nzot sure if i have the same problem you can hear mine like a grinding clicking sound and im pretty sure its this.but i keep seeing in my searches that its the bearing. Is their a bearing in the drive shaft?

      Might want to check the front differential. I had a clicking noise in the front of my Alpha that increased or decreased with speed. My ring and pinion needed replaced.

    How tf do you get the sr clip in place? It seems impossible to get engaged on the drive shaft

    Quick ? If that part broke completely inside will it cause the vehicle not to move

    • @AutoRex101
      @AutoRex101  Před 5 lety +1

      Yes. AWD Hummers have mechanically-dependent front and rear axles (locked transfer case).

    Install wasnt bad but it seems like my hummer is vibrating when i slow down any thoughts?

  • @theone9564
    @theone9564 Před 2 lety

    Is that why mine is making a click noise when I accelerate?

  • @juviamsp8896

    my h3 hummer 08 is making a squeaking noise on the passenger side and the drive shaft was replaced 3 months ago.

    • @AutoRex101
      @AutoRex101  Před 7 lety +2

      +Juvia MSP There are a lot of things that can cause squeaking in front suspension systems. Is the sound more pronounced when you are going over bumps? Or is it a constant rolling squeak?

    Can you drive without the driveshaft?? Like 2wd? Thanks!

    • @AutoRex101
      @AutoRex101  Před 6 lety +1

      No. The H3s have a locked AWD transfer case.

    • @catpaw99
      @catpaw99 Před 6 lety +4

      Yes you can, but the tcase has to be in high lock. I drove my H3 for a month while waiting for my Taton front driveshaft (requires a Thor Parts adaptor).

    Hey you know the bad symptoms about that part?

    • @AutoRex101
      @AutoRex101  Před 2 lety

      Most common indicator is a knocking noise at low speeds, and/or a vibration at high speeds.

    Why bother with all that? You can get whole new driveshat with new universal and there end assembly for $135. Just pull old shaft off n install the new one,easy peasy!
