Thanks for the very detailed video on how to change the gasket! Watched a few that didn't mention the support cover and glad I found this.
Great video! Detailed and very easy to follow. Did my 2010 JK yesterday now just waiting a full 24 hours to cure (being extra cautious). Thanks for this.
Excellent video... completed the gasket change today. I'll let it cure over night and cross my fingers it was my leak problem. I didn't see any other leak above the rear oil pan / transmision area. (good sign).
Thanks for this video. Getting ready to change mine for the first time on my 2007.
👍
Awesome video! I gotta do this to my JK, replaced the valve cover gaskets a little over a month ago, still noticed a slow oil leak, went underneath and I can see what looks to be fairly fresh oil all around the oil pan. I can only assume that it’s more than likely the upper gasket, but I’m gonna go ahead and tackle both, the Jeep has 207,000 and some change miles on it, and I’m pretty confident that it’s never been done on it before, I’ve only had it since April of this year. Haven’t had anything major on it so far, and I plan to keep it that way. I’ve just been taking care of each little issue as it shows up, that way it’s done and over with. Luckily I’m due for an oil change anyways, so I might as well go ahead and get it over with now.
Great video. Thanks saved me a lot of money.
Any way of getting the instructions I couldn't find you email on your page
Great video. Where can I find that instruction material that had the specs listed for in/lbs and procedurals?
Send me your email and I will send them to you.

12:22 I’ve got it! I’m coming…
21:17 I SAID IM COMING. HOLD YOUR HORSES!!
How long for the RTV to dry before you add oil? The package says 24 hours, but with just 4 small areas of RTV I was wondering if it would be sooner. Thanks for the great video! It gave me the confidence I needed to change mine this afternoon.
I have always added oil and started the engine after I get through with the job and have never had a problem. One thing you can do is squeeze a small thin dab on a piece of paper and check it after you are finished with the job and if you think it is set up enough you will probably be ok.
Just what I was wondering. Thanks for asking. Lol.
you can't drive up on ramps to raise the front of the jeep to get all that old oil out during changes?
Yea I suppose you could I guess.
Could send me the link for 2007 jeep wrangler 3.8L engine installation instructions. Thanks

i got a leak annoying me for the last 2 years & all shops ask 250 USD or more just for that job.
Did this fix your problem?
Jeff Douglas Yes it did.
What oil should I fill up with?
I like Valvoline full synthetic, I have put over 500,000 miles on my last truck, and over 300,000 on my wife's last vehicle and both never burned a drop of oil. I think the viscosity is 0-20 but look at the oil fill cap and it should say on it.
@@737mechanic ok thanks
