Just a suggestion from the “ you can never have too much lighting” camp. Put a couple of rear facing lights under the back end…..make sure they still illuminate the area even when the bed is raised. This will give you illumination to work by without the shadows created from the rear cab light……especially when the bed is raised. Also, stick a under hood light in that engine bay. Great buy, repairs and upgrades. 👍🏻
I have been around for a awhile. Long enough to rewatch several videos with my now 2 year old grandson. He comes over to the house and grabs my phone and says “tractor”. That means can we watch this channel. He literally sits and watches. Great times.
As an old Coal miner from KY, I really love watching your videos. Worked both underground and surface. I've turned a wrench a bit in my day also, but not in a while. You take me back to my hay day when I worked with the greatest guys on earth. The smell of diesel, fresh earth, welding smoke and the sound that equipment makes when running. Lord how I miss it! Let me say, you have amassed a great amount of knowledge for your age young man. In todays day and age that means more than most people realize. I daresay not many men your age have attained the amount of skills that you have. Not to mention the view of your home and shop! Awesome job AC! Love your dog, miss ole Levi!

I'm of the same thinking. Like Mustie1 too : I never, ever bought a new mower, snow thrower, central vacum, many furniture, cars and make them as new. Some relatives say I'm a cheap skate.

Back in the day, I use to haul and deliver those track dump trucks to muddy job sites, but all the ones I delivered had 360 deg. spinning bodies, so you could Drive In and spin the entire body and Drive out. Then again, those that I delivered were large enough to carry yours in the dump bed! I am glad to see that you are showing your track dump the love it deserves!

Sometimes I watch some finance advisers in CZcams. They mention supposed good buys on shares, Bitcoin, gold and silver. But I believe that Andrew is multiplying his investments since he does lots of work around the area. And I think he charges $100 dollars the hour or more. He is a smart and best of investors I know.

Love watching you work in your shop and do maintenance. Seeing how you run into issues and take different approaches until you find one that works encourages me to take on more mechanical projects. It’s easy to get frustrated when something doesn’t work on the first few tries, but pushing through to make it work is a good learning experience.
Also still very excited seeing you add to your mountain top machinery pile lol.
This could teach so many young people to persevere. Do not give in to one idea, but to try, try again.
Fascinated when Andrew started taking kit up the hard trail. Recently on holiday in Med watched the three and half hour taking more up the new trail and clearing site. Half before dinner and half after! Best part of the stay!
I’m waiting to see the “building a mountain access road” series! The amount of trouble you’ve had getting stuff up there. It’s made for some wild content. But that current access is gonna keep breaking and torture testing equipment.
I love that you post videos of work getting done with random snips of playtime with the pup, rather than talking about work with equipment as a backdrop. Too many large channels lose base of what got them there. Thanks for busting ass on a regular basis, making time for the pup, and for the amazing content!

For those that don't know, those type of flashers work off amperes heating a bimetallic strip. LED lights usually don't pull enough amps to make the flashers work.

I can't wait to see him reach 2 million subscribers this year. Like every other guy and gal, I am never always amazed at his attention to detail, his problem solving and total likeability.
I get to babysit my nieces 5 yr old german shepherd. She and her husband cannot get him to fetch. So I take two balls or two frisbies outside. I throw one and he runs and gets it and won't let me have it. So when he's right back up to me I toss the second and and he drops the first one and chases after the second. That way I don't have to play tug of war like Andrew does.
I did once. I was in my bathrobe in the living room on a rocking chair. I grabbed his rope and played tug of war. I was damned determined I was not letting go no matter how much he shook his head back and forth wildly. Finally he used his legs to start to back up and he pulled me right off that rocker. So now I stick to fetch only. Cody has that same BRUT strength in his body and Andrew can lift him off the ground before he will let go. That cracks me up. Thanks for the upload!!

Those two hitch receivers would be great for a detachable winch powered via a couple of Anderson power sockets. A go nearly anywhere recovery vehicle which would more transportable than the dozers.
I would go with an hydraulic winch, they have more power, are faster and don't dimm you're lights
As for recovery vehicle.. I love the studed tracks for icey mountain roads. Brilliant Andrew! 😎

Andrew, 2 things. When the video first started and I saw the exterior of this thing I said to myself "Awesome, it's rusty so I KNOW he's going to paint it and make it look way better." Then I saw your sticker on the front and said "Well, maybe not." Then I saw the sticker on the dump bed, on top of the rust and knew you weren't going to paint it which made me sad.
2nd. You HAVE to watch that antifreeze around Cody. Antifreeze is deadly to dogs, it's ethylene glycol and methanol are super deadly to humans but we're smart enough to not drink it, but dogs don't know better. Antifreeze has a sweet taste (anybody who's ever had some splash in their mouth knows) and dogs will lick it up and not know the harm it can cause. Even dried on the floor it's still deadly. Be sure that you watch him when working on a cooling system and even using a rag to soak up the most part will leave residue on a floor. It's best to flush away and residue or spilled coolant with fresh water. Another alternative is to use "pet safe" antifreeze that's propylene glycol based which isn't 100% safe but much safer and has a wider margin of safety for the amount needed to ingest before toxic levels are reached.

Windshield washer fluid also has glycol. Ingesting even a small amount will kill a human unless you can get to a hospital and go on dialysis for a couple of weeks.

I like how the English captioning says 'music' anytime Andrew's whanging on things and 'applause' whenever he's driving on the gravel. As usual, I learned about three things from this video. Your optimism when re-installing the fan was heartening!

What confuses me sometimes is how I get bored over watching a 10min video yet I could watch a 10hr Andrew camarata complication video and still want more
It's the editing. For instance the sequence where he fixes the water pump. You don't have to watch him tighten the same bolt for 2 minutes. He constantly jumps forward in time so you never get bored. There is probably 100 hours of editing work in this video.

A big thank you to your lady & keep a few sets hemostats in your tool box ! I keep 6 sizes in mine over the last 40 years they saved me many times mostly from dropped nuts or bolts ! If i ever got in the area i'd love to meet you and check out the castle I watched the entire build over the last 3-4 years ! I grew up in poor family and learned the mechanics starting about age 8-9 had hand wrenches under the cars for my dad & uncle to rebuilding engines in a 6' by 8' shed by the age 16 i could do most everything and now at 62 i net i forgot more then most kids learn in 20 years schooling !

Something I really like about Andrew is he don't mess around when its broke he dives straight in and fix's things no half an hour talking about how he's going to do it, broken one out new one in job done.
You gotta get an electric garage door opener, will be so much more convenient, and with a remote, you wouldn't have to get off a piece of equipment to enter the garage.
Just one more thing to break. Rolling it up only takes 30 seconds.

Andrew, I'm surprised your buddy hasn't tried liquid grease "00" in drive motors. Worked great for stopping the leak in my JD 210 lawn tractor differential case!

Love watching your videos, for engine cooling fans I have a mirror on an extendable handle I use to line the bolt holes up. Careful opening a hot radiator, can quite literally melt your skin off, I only open a cap on a cold engine. Great video.

That Arctic Cat Wildcat in the shop brings back memories, I had a 93 Thundercat, you get that monster out on a lake and nothing could touch it. They were some of the best looking machines made in my opinion.
That was awesome! I would suggest adding a small push bar that fits on the front receiver, just in case a big tree falls or something. A receive winch too. You could pull a wood processor right in the forest.

For a future thought, maybe add a heater/vent fan to the cab, and enclose the cab for winter heat, and summer cooling. Also, maybe change the style of tread to one that won't allow the crawler to slip sideways in the snow. Looks like a fun and useful vehicle.

@@LoBeau53 I had a friend whose dad was killed when his snowcat slid on an incline and rolled on him. The video shows the crawler slipping on the hill and ice. So those are my thoughts. You are right, the tracks are expensive.

That machine looks ideal. I have lots of ATV trails which could use gravel in tight spots. Good job getting it back in use.

Tracked dumper's are a great bit of kit. Mooroka make them too and having used one to move a mobile weather station off the top of a boggy hill in Lancashire, England I can highly recommend them for work in tricky conditions. Great video too!
Hey Andrew, I’ve got a tip that I use all the time on gaskets. I use Borden’s rubber cement when I have a gasket that doesn’t need to have a gasket sealer on it. I apply it to the gasket and the surface the gasket goes to, let the rubber cement tack up and then the gasket stays right where you put it. You don’t have to worry if your bolts are keeping it lined up especially when you can’t always see the where the part mounts to. If the rubber cement gets on anything, your hands or the parts your working on, it just rubs off. The rubber cement comes in a bottle about three inches high and has a brush attached to the screw on lid. It lasts for a couple years before it gets to thick to use.
I also use it on the stickers on my mower, when I power wash it, sometimes the John Deere stickers or the warning stickers will come off and this is an easy way to put them back on. Just apply to the back of the decal and wherever it goes on the mower or deck, let it tack up a bit and stick it on. All of the rubber cement that’s left on the painted parts rubs right off and they stick pretty good. Good luck with it if you try it.

Awesome video. May want to consider picking up some tin'd wire from a marine store while you're picking up marine switches. It has loads better corrosion resistance from salt. Just tin coating on the copper strands so it keeps the flexibility.

A nice new addition to the collection.
The coolest one of those I've seen for sale by me, was about 5 times bigger with metal tracks. The cab/dump body was mounted(on excavator undercarriage) so it could rotate a full 360°, it didn't have to reverse. Just rotate the cab/body and drive forwards.
Have you heard of 'Hagglunds'? Both units powered with connected drive?
It has to have reverse. How would you back up with a wall in front of you?
@@valleytractorservices9310 like any excavator chasis based machine, it has forward and reverse. You just drive up to where you need to go and just like an excavator, rotate the cab/body and use the appropriate gear to position you in the last few feet.

Your body working reminds me of when I worked in a gold mine in Nevada! Several times I watched as a mill mechanic used a 100 ton bridge crane tied to a pipe wrench to break mill liner bolts loose. All hell breaks loose when you break the sling instead of the bolt coming loose!

Andrew, that crawler dump truck looks like the ticket for getting up to your mountaintop property and should be great getting to places that a normal dump truck couldn't get to, job well done and I enjoyed these kinds of videos.
Grease in the final drive works ok for excavators where much of their work is static.
If you're ever going to be doing a lot of hauling with the dumper then you'll want to get the final drive seals sorted at some point. ...Cheaper than a whole new unit.
NB. Checking the oil in the final drives is as important as checking the dipstick when buying a used machine. It's something that often gets neglected.
I totally agree. I was hoping someone else would touch on that. Kinda made me cringe watching 10 gallons of grease get pumped into a planetary.

Usually to fix that leaky final drive you just need a floating face seal and the ring it mates against (metal on metal seal with a big o-ring). If you can find those two parts it's way cheaper than a new final drive and pretty easy to separate the planetary hub to do it.
Yeah looks like he needs a new dou cone seal which could be a pain if he does have the right tooling

I've been watching your video's awesome.I like that you don't give up and keep on trying until you get everything fixed and you do it yourself learning every time you fix a machine. I am a business owner as well up here in Canada and learned to fix all my equipment and that has saved me a ton. I learned and at times it cost me but I learned from it. I like the old iron too no computer, simple easyer to repair l have a 58 Case W 9A fixed everything but when l gave it a fresh coat of paint it made running it so much more enjoyable

Andrew's assortment of tools & their use is impressive, but his heavy equipment collection is a grown man's dream come true! I watch the videos with amazement & envy of his accomplishments in construction, welding, heavy equipment repair, troubleshooting, to his design/build projects! Let's not forget his love & devotion to his dogs with the endless tossing of frisbees, and no matter how far it goes the dog brings it back before Andrew has time to turn around!😄😅🤣😂 If I had the opportunity to meet Andrew, it would mean more to me than an athletes autograph!😊
