      I recently got ENTP on this quiz I took, I know what you might be thinking, what? Quizzes are a bad way to really know your type, you gotta know yourself, or maybe you're on the side of people who are like, you can't see yourself because you're blind to what you do or whatever, or maybe not I'm not a mind reader.
      Sorry for rambling, anyway, this quiz it was pretty cool, it like focused on the cognitive functions and even gave examples in each question, so it could be less difficult to misconstrue the questions, because originally, I thought intuition meant that you were into like fantasy things like elves, dragons, etc, and it's not that I'm not into that, anyway, it caused me to mistype myself as a sensor, though, maybe I am still a sensor, a lot of people have mistyped themselves, like ISFJ and ENTP have the same cognitive function stack, just reversed.
      So do INTP and ESFJ but I just like the way ISFJ looks.
      Oh right back to my point I didn't believe that I was an ENTP, but you said ENTPs are famous for getting bored quickly, and well, I think having almost 700 documents of unfinished stories because you either get bored/get new ideas constitutes as getting bored quickly lol
      Once again, I am so sorry for the long message

    As an INTJ, I got a special relationship with ENTP. I find female ENTPs very attractive. Personally, I see a lot of an ENTP inside me, minus the extroversion and utter lack of a plan. Bureaucracy, silly rules someone incompetent in charge, etc. either make my blood boil, or I find methods to bend rules, act in malicious compliance, or simply undermine the authority of that person responsible for the mess. In short, it's great fun acting like an ENTP, but I can't live like one.
    For the most part, I dislike surprises and prefer a system where everything follows protocols to remain predictable and efficient, but when protocols become useless ceremonies that are just tedious, it gets on my nerves immensely. Especially, when the system is adverse to improvements. When it comes to ENTPs in relationships, then it's about having someone to discuss things with and someone who helps me to get active and a little out of my comfort zone, but too much and it becomes just bad...

    • @grzegorzwalas4125
      @grzegorzwalas4125 Před 2 lety +21

      We ENTPs admire INTJs so often :). You've got all what we lack and what would be great for us if we could have it. Self-discipline, a plan (sometimes really good one), that dilligence and coherence of actions, all this without stucking in idiotic rutines like "I must sweep all my house daily because it makes me feel better" (that's ISFJ's and ISTJ's thing and I can't stand them sometimes).
      You have however one really bad trait which I see also in INFJs: you're too much focused on one possible path further. It's yours Ni fault :P. It ends sometimes with self-fulfilling prophecies, sometimes your great intuition leads you sadly to wrong decisions (although many times it's contrary).
      I wish I had INTJ by my side when I'll be ready to start a business or project of my life.

      A colleague of mine had it even worse. He was working on the weekend and cut himself at some broken glass. He didn't want to touch too many things as he was bleeding quite badly and thus he yelled for help and the only other colleague at the time came and collapsed when he saw the blood and hit his head. By nature (ENTP), I am quick to find, and justify, an opposing point of view; however, over time I have learned to ask myself if doing so is worth the time and energy.
    Do I really want to engage in a conversation that could take upwards of 20 minutes, or would I prefer doing something else? Does the subject really matter to me? Do I finally really care what the other person thinks? And if the relationship is important to me, can it continue to be fruitful even though the other person thinks very differently than I do about some matter? What, if anything, am I getting out of being right?
    I discover that, much of the time, it is really not necessary for me to say anything. And discovering that brings me some relief.
    I also find that, if a person speaks from their heart, that is convincing enough and I have no inclination to provide an opposing or additional take on the situation. When a person’s speech is genuine and in the moment, that stands for itself.

      I relate so much to ENFP and INTP studies. Not 100%, the differences are quite stark. Just enough to confirm that I'm definitely an ENTP, lol.
      I find it more difficult to see any part of myself in studies of NTJs though. No functions at all in common.

      ENFP's are a bit more outgoing and socially less awkward. They also feel things like fear, anxiety and hurt and respond to them. ENTP's are so obsessed with brainstorming that they hardly feel things like fear or awkwardness. I mean yeah we feel it sometimes but not something that'll keep us awake all night.

    Are you familiar with the Enneagram? The Enneagram describes different categories of personality; then, it goes on to describe I think 12 levels of health that are expressed in each personality.
    I say this because I think that here you are describing an ENTP who is at the average level of emotional health. As the person matures, and as they learn to rely more on their unconscious functions, they change. Life will have taught them to transcend the limitations that defined them at earlier stages of growth. Would be willing to let me know how this point of view lands with you.?

I DO, however, find continual arguments over small things and having my own identity and viewpoints challenged before we can find a single commonality about as pointless and tedious as they find bureaucracy and paperwork to be. I wish I could just be friendly and appreciate the Ne they've mastered.

    Why on every MBTI video is there at least one comment declaring, "ALL of type X are EVIL!!!" Bruh, relax, an ENTP, or someone pretending to be an ENTP, or someone mistyped as an ENTP did you wrong, and now the whole population must pay? Do you realise that you're engaging in just another ism? This is the most boring hate speech I've ever heard, if I were planning on taking it personally, I'd be more offended by how predictable and formulaic it is than anything else. I get it, you were hurt and your feelings may or may not be valid and you'd prefer not to repeat that negative experience. Self-fulfilling prophecies are a thing though, and so are tinted glasses.

    As an ENTP- i don't think its totally accurate to say we see details as pointless. I am very intense about details and respect details too much and I struggle to step back at times and not let details go etc. I think black and white at times, snd then go all in on some details within the scope of my consciousness and then totally neglect others simultaneously. So my brain is geared for details and clarification in arguments but at times it feels like we are a slave to accuracy and picking things apart and being okay with grey areas of data- hoping that makes sense

      @prashantiyer7 Před 2 lety +1

      @@MrEvans1 hey evans, i had made a comment based on how the video had described ENTPs. Not that i would label them as evil at first go. Beautiful quality of ENTPs as video mentioned and from what I have heard in general about ENTP is that they push people to do their best and get the thing they or an ENTP want, which is awesome. Now,entire thing rests upon how they get others to do things. If that is through manipulation and instigation, then that is a problem, and also the frequency of it. But then, this manipulation tactics could be used by anyone regardless of their personality type. So, I would say that this area is something ENTP should hold his her horses over.
      As an INFP, i too have some flaws which are expected from a typical INFP. These types are more likely to experience depression than other types. So i am trying to be aware of the things that keep me away from being depressed or be a toal nuisance in social situations. So better, if all types can take an effort to know what they are doing wrong, instead of saying things like my MBTI is the best personality type, world could be a better place to live in.
